Found this little gem while visiting Portland. Service is great, foods are fresh, the vibe is simple and modern. Highly recommended!

Dropped by for an early dinner. Garlic green beans off Happy hour menu for $7. Good flavor, right amount of heat. Felt pretty bare. Needs something... BBQ hamburger. $16. Wife liked it. Too thick of a tomato slice for me. Fries could have been crisper. Ribeye carne asada. $29. Meh. Meat was pretty tough and everything was pretty bland. Like a flat fajita only worse. I prefer La Carreta Wouldn't get it again. Service was fine. Timing could have been bette

My friends and I went there to celebrate a birthday party. I had drove by this little place in downtown Gresham often and wanted to check it out, especially after seeing those menu. The birthday girl and I ordered the chefs special which was picanha with chimmichuri, mashed potatoes and seasonal veggies. This dish was delicious, rich, and filing. That cut of meat and how it was prepared was fantastic and melted in your mouth. One of my friends ordered the New York steak, no potatoes and extra veggies and the other two ordered the asada plate that came with beans, rice and tortillas. They all really liked their dishes. We also shared the ceviche with shrimp, mahi and octopus. It was fresh and cooked perfectly. Some places over cook the octopus, making it tough but not this place, the octopus was so tender. The chips that came with it were thick, salty and crunchy, great for scooping up the ceviche. I'm glad this place opened up in Gresham, we need more nice restaurants out here. I look forward to going again to try more dishes and I will definitely be taking more friends and family here so they can try this place out.

The got damn shrimp ceviche is AMAZING!!!!! This shareable appetizer is made fresh! I'm suing this restaurant because they got me addicted to this dish! MIND YOU, I never had ceviche in my life! Now I can't stop thinking about it! If you come here, please order this! You won't be sorry!

Pleasant substantial amount of shrimp in Alfredo. Chipotle linguine was sufficient. The tacos were fair. Chips were decent. Beer was cold :) Service was adequate. Atmosphere was clean.

From the moment I walked in, the experience was top-notch. The gentleman behind the counter was incredibly friendly and took the time to walk me through the menu, which I really appreciated. I played it safe with my go-to jalapeño pupusa (because it's always a win), but the carne guisada plate caught my eye--and I'm so glad I decided to try something new. I mean, who doesn't love a little variety and leftovers? Let me tell you... the flavors were unreal. As the plate was brought to the table, the aroma alone had me salivating before it even touched down. The carne guisada was like a warm, comforting, flavor-packed stew--tender beef, carrots, potatoes, and zucchini cooked perfectly. It came with a small salad drizzled in the most delicious cilantro dressing and a scoop of rice that tied everything together beautifully. If you're craving a supercharged pot roast-style stew flavor, do yourself a favor and order this. Seriously--don't skip it. And can we talk about the salsa bar? So many options! I loved that almost every condiment had jalapeños, because let's be honest--we all need a little spice in our lives Needless to say, I definitely won't be waiting so long to come back. Can't wait for my next visit!

There were many large seating area available. One main cedar table was a big attraction. There is a fireplace with a table by it We got a table. I ordered a Borgona, fruit puree juices mix with Sprite. Never had one, but sounded really good. It came and it was delicious and fruity for a mocktail. We ordered a shrimp ceviche and octopus skewers to start out with. The Shrimp Ceviche was very delicious and it was something that I was very happy to share it with my friends. It was a big portion of shrimp cocktail with salsa on the bottom and these large sized blue chips. It was so good that we ate it quickly. Octopus skewers was a tad charred. Yet very delicious especially if you eat it with the pineapple together. Brings out the flavor of the pineapples quite well. We ordered the Pork Belly Tacos and Mole Shrimp Tacos which came in 3. I absolutely loved street tacos filled with good fresh ingredients. And both of these hot the spot. The pork belly was an absolute great flavor of the pork belly. The Shrimp was delicious. Cook perfectly and easy to devour quickly. DeFuego Nachos had Jalapenos. But wasn't listed. The nachos were delicious and it was quickly devoured. Wings came in 4 wings with garlic parmesan with carrots and celery and ranch on the platter. Heavily garlic on the wings yet very delicious. Half wedge salad was a surprise how much there is in the salad. A lot of fresh veggies there with cherry tomatoes and sliced radishes in it. I had a absolutely fun experience celebrating my birthday here. DeFuego had Happy Hour from 3pm to 6pm, seven days out of the week. Seems the Happy Hour here is very popular. You have 21 appetizers to choose from on the Happy Hour Menu. There are Mocktails, and any drinks you want available. Definitely will come back again.

From the moment we walked in, the experience felt disorganized and unwelcoming. There was no signage or direction about where to check in, and multiple staff members ignored us while talking amongst themselves until we finally approached someone directly. We were then told -- somewhat dismissively -- that we were in the lounge and needed to check with the restaurant host instead. When we went to the host stand, we were told the restaurant was fully booked for hours, but that we could still eat in the lounge area with open seating. The interaction from the hosts came across condescending rather than hospitable or accommodating. Back in the lounge, many of the tables still hadn't been bussed and several still had checks sitting on them. Since we were only a party of two, we ended up taking a smaller table that at least appeared cleaned off, although it still had the previous bill sitting there. After sitting down, we were ignored for quite a while before anyone finally acknowledged us. Unfortunately, the food experience didn't improve things. I ordered the portobello mushroom burger with a gluten-free bun, mango habanero wings, and two glasses of the house red. Nobody informed me they were out of gluten-free buns until the burger arrived already lettuce wrapped. If that had been communicated beforehand, I would have ordered something else entirely instead of paying full price for what felt like a substitute version of the dish. The burger itself was underwhelming -- mostly greasy onions, mayo, unripe green tomatoes, and the mushroom wrapped in lettuce. I ended up just eating the portobello itself and leaving the rest. Since the fries are apparently gluten battered, the server recommended the side salad instead. I specifically requested no cheese due to dietary restrictions, but the salad still came out covered in cheese and had to be remade. The replacement salad was extremely bland and appeared to have little or no dressing, so I barely touched it either. The wings were the final frustration. They didn't arrive until over an hour after ordering -- long after the rest of the food had already been served. Visually, the sauce looked less like mango habanero and more like melted cheese poured over the wings, which honestly made them pretty unappetizing by the time they finally arrived. I understand restaurants get busy, especially on weekends, but basic communication, attentiveness, and hospitality matter -- especially when guests are paying premium prices. Between the confusing entrance experience, dismissive service, ignored dietary requests, poor food execution, and excessive wait times, this ended up being a frustrating and surprisingly unpleasant experience overall.

The Margarita sampler was great - 4 unique flavors. However, I was disappointed by the chips. They were obviously stale or burned. I just had one chip and knew they were off. The mussels were not fresh. My wife was the first to notice, and when I tasted it, I almost spit it out. We also didn't have regular check-in. Once we got our mussels order, nobody showed up until we were ready to checkout. Given the place was not busy, you'd expect at least someone to occasionally come ask how the food or drinks are. None of that. I'd love to come back here someday, maybe it's a one off deal but there's room for improvement in customer service from my humble opinion. They eventually compensated us the mussels when I raised the stale issue - but I don't mess around with bad sea food. Would love to come back next time to better service and food.
