Elixir has a slightly upscale feel to it, but also has a sports bar ambiance since they were showing a couple games on their TVs. Service was efficient and I was very pleased with my Konsumate martini. It was a nice spot to grab a drink at before our dinner next door, and we were told that they serve Trio's food if we wanted to stay. We passed, but our waiter was kind enough to put our name on the list. read more

Elixir Lounge & Grill is a True Gem. We have visited Elixir in Jan. the last three years on ski trips. Each and every year, owners Andrew & Steve have added on and improved it. They've managed to create a drinking establishment that has one foot in the classic local bar, and the other in a high class, comfortable lounge. Bartenders, Kylee and DJ are warm & personable. This year's addition of Kyle, the new chef, and the new kitchen is something special. While all the Martini's, crisp fresh local beers are on point; with Kyle's vision and attention to detail, the food is simply "Off The Hook" excellent. We had the "Special" Cuban sandwich with onion rings, they're tempura battered, light and delicate. The best we've ever had. The chicken wings are also exceptional, large, meaty and tender. While the new menu is still under development, with Kyle's creativity and passion, Elixir's has a bright future. It's a beautifully decorated bar and grill. I Highly Recommend It! read more

Elixir Lounge is my go-to bar. Great space, clean and modern, with a bunch of TVs. Awesome staff, fun vibe. I'm working my way through their new menu and everything has been excellent. In particular, the chili is killer and fish and chips are great. They host quite a few charity events there, as well, and I like giving my business to a place that actually cares about people. It's also conveniently located, just off the east side of 215, so it's a perfect spot to hit after skiing/snowboarding up Big or Little Cottonwood Canyon. Highly recommend! read more

I am a fan of this little local Martini bar. Has the causal interaction and hometown feel of a local dive bar, but the ambiance and menu of a nice martini bar. The drinks are good with a good selection of classic favorites as well as new twists. Elixir's staff was friendly (they put our name in for us at Trio next door) and their lounge area clean...but I was turned off by the multiple TV sets at the bar. I understand that people love their TV and having them likely generates more revenue but to me, it cheapens the experience some. Chilis comes to mind. read more

Who knew they had brunch? And it's DELICIOUS! Service is always good, cocktails are amaze-balls (try the Suzy-Q) and it's easy to get to, no matter where you live (right off 215). I had the Brussels Sprout Hash, which is gluten free (if that matters to you) and the portion is realistic (not some HUGE portion that you take home and never eat!). I remember coming to this martini bar location back when it was Kristauff's. fortunately, under the new management, this place is still a great go-to spot in the Cottonwood Heights area for delicious cocktails. They also partnered up with Cafe Trio next door to serve their food so that's also a plus! Great food, drinks, friendly-staff, live music and DJs after 9pm? It's a good time here. Check it out if you prefer to stay in the south end of the valley vs. venturing into downtown. I don't think Elixir will disappoint. read more

Not the biggest bar or most in your face bar but you don't have to be the biggest to be the best. This place is built on great drinks, a great vibe, and great bartenders. This is a real locals gem that might not be noticed if you don't know it is there, but it is right next door to Café Trio and there is a door between the 2 so you can have a drink before you dine or just pop over after your meal. They even do food service so you can stay in the bar and have the best of both. Andrew and Chris are 2 of the best bartenders you will ever have the chance of meeting. They are not over the top or trying to impress you, they are just 2 guys who believe in creating a feeling of being welcome and then providing you with a carefully crafted cocktail or well poured beer. If you are lucky enough to get them at the same time then you will feel like a member of the family as they seamlessly take care of the room with professionalism while trading banter like brothers. Most people come here the first time as customers and leave as friends. The drinks are always well crafted and they make sure that you are satisfied. They have a great selection of spirits and of beers. The beers here are all poured from bottle and their selection is well thought out with some of the best local offerings you can find.
