Last night the fish was dry and tasted like they hadn't changed the fryer oil for a while. So not very tasty or flakey fish like you expect. I changed the chips to onion rings. I couldn't even taste the onion only the batter. I hate to give a bad review but when the service was slow and the food was not good. It is what it is. I've always had great food and service before. They seem to be more focused on the regulars at the bar, which I understand but you will eliminate more regulars by not being good to new customers. On the positive side. The beer(Stella bottles) was good and cold! The sports on with all the viewing options is great! I will probably go back and try again since I've gone there since 2006. Crossing my fingers hopefully it will be better. I've always like their Nachos and French dip sandwiches. It is a nice sports bar with a good variety of sports on.

My sister and I had driven all the way from Orange County, California to Cottonwood Heights for the Hilary Duff concert in West Valley and were staying at the suites across the street. It was also my sister's birthday, so we wanted to find a great place to eat--and we're so glad we chose Bandits'. From the moment we sat down, Kelle made us feel incredibly welcome. She knew it was our first time there and treated us like family. She was so sweet, kind, funny, and genuinely caring. Her customer service was exceptional, and she made us feel like we'd known her for years. You can tell she truly loves what she does, and it shows in every interaction. The food was fantastic, served hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The atmosphere was warm, relaxing, and inviting, making the entire experience even better. But what really made our visit unforgettable was Kelle. She went above and beyond to make my sister's birthday special and made us feel appreciated the entire time. Employees like Kelle are hard to find, and Bandits' Grill & Bar is lucky to have her. We sincerely hope management recognizes what an incredible asset she is. I was in the Salt Lake City area visiting four colleagues, and they highly recommended the restaurant, so I was looking forward to trying it. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich ($19.99) and added a Caesar salad ($4.99), with beans and coleslaw as my sides. Unfortunately, my meal was pretty underwhelming. The pulled pork wasn't very flavorful and didn't taste particularly fresh. The coleslaw was vinegar-based, which I personally didn't care for at all, and the beans were just mediocre. Overall, I was disappointed with my meal. That said, two of my colleagues ordered the prime rib sandwich ($23.49), which is similar to a French dip, and they both raved about it. They said it was excellent. Another person in our group had the tri-tip sandwich ($20.49), and the chicken plate was $21.99. Our total for five people came to $128.43 including tax, before tip. The service was average--nothing particularly bad, but nothing that stood out either. On the positive side, I really liked the interior and ambiance of the restaurant. It was attractive, comfortable, and very clean. I'm giving Bandits three stars based on my personal experience this time around, but I'm definitely willing to give it another chance. Based on how much my colleagues enjoyed the prime rib sandwich, I'll probably order that on my next visit and see if it's as good as they described. Sometimes the first thing you order just isn't the restaurant's best dish, so I'm not writing this place off yet.
