My wife and I booked this property through VRBO and it is managed, rather poorly, by Elite Vacation Rentals. The property is the Strawberry Cabin - Fire Pit, Fireplace & Pets on VRBO and AirBNB. I fully expect to get trashed for leaving this review as Brenden Hesser attempted to intimidate and he threatened me when I told him I was looking forward to sharing my experience. While this is a cute home, it is not what is advertised and it is not being well maintained. The fireplace never worked correctly and this is you main heat when it's cold (it is a gas fireplace) when the handyman came out to "fix" it, he told me the reason there is no flame is because the glass of the fireplace is filthy on the inside and, unfortunately, there was no way for me to access this to clean it and he did not. The TV didn't work and needed service by the handyman. The cabin is also not remote like the description suggests. The location is nice, it's just not what is in the description. It is a nice sub-division not a remote getaway in the woods. We were also without water for about 2 hours on our second day. The handyman said they have been servicing the water throughout the development all week but no one thought to tell me that prior to booking. The towels also smelled so badly that I had to wash them prior to using them. I plan on reporting this to VRBO and other agencies to hold Hesser accountable and make sure people know what they buy. Realtors in AZ are held to a higher standard. I am thankful Visa protects my purchase. Now I suppose I wait for the promised retaliation. read more

We rented a condominium at Cays in Chandler, Arizona through Elite Properties starting on November 2025 and our experience was extremely disappointing. The primary reason we chose this property was access to the outdoor amenities, including the pool and spa. However, the rental agent was already aware as early as August 2025 that these facilities would be closed for maintenance starting December 1 for approximately five weeks. Despite this, we were not informed prior to signing our 2.5-month lease. We only learned about the closure in mid-December after raising concerns ourselves. When we brought up the lack of transparency, the agent refused to release us from the lease, leaving us stuck paying for amenities we specifically chose but could not use. To make matters worse, the agent and other employees entered our unit without prior notice or authorization and discarded some of our personal belongings. This was both unacceptable and a serious breach of trust. Based on our experience, I strongly recommend avoiding this company. You may be better off booking through a platform like Airbnb for more reliable communication and accountability. read more

We requested four night stay at a property close to our home since our A/C was out, and being replaced. The replacement was quicker than we thought and we checked out two days early. I messaged Stefanie that we would be checking out, and instead of professionally assisting her guests, she just thanked me. This is when I realized how greedy Stefanie Marie Gould is. She refused to budge from her policy and therefore became greedy for money. She could have simply said, "don't forget to email AirBnB for the refund", but she ignores her customers when it comes to that. Be warned before any reservation for Stefanie Marie Gould. There are plenty of places in Chandler other than Elite Vacation Rentals that will assist their guest with optimal service. See her profile and how she lies about who she is. My husband and I rented a cabin (The Lavender Cabin) in Pine AZ through Elite in December. I and 8 girlfriends (all Sr citizens) had a horrible experience with this company's property manager while renting a beautiful home in Mesa a few weeks ago. We could not close the accordion door and when reported to the mgr, he adamantly refused to send after hours help to close it. He said it was too late to send sm1 out (It was only 8:30p) and we needed to figure out on our own how to close it! The situation made for a scary night for us all - with a door wide opened (literally) all night in an unfamiliar city and neighborhood. And plenty of scorpion phobia! That mgr was defensive and obnoxious, rude and totally lacking in customer empathy on that night and in subsequent communication throughout our stay. When a kinder EV employee apologized and acknowledged miscommunication in their office caused the situation, she asked what they could do to "make up" for the inconvenience, So, rather than ask for $$ reimbursement, we suggested dinner. That same property mgr quickly weighed in to accuse us of trying to blackmail the company! His was a textbook example of the poorest manager of customer expectations we'd seen in a very long time. read more

We stayed at the Ocotillo Lakes Oleander Dr house last week. It was perfect for a family of 5 and we could easily entertain our extended family for a BBQ. There were a few hiccups being that we were the first rental of the season, but Jon was there almost immediately to resolve them. The shuffleboard was a hit with the kids as was the boat. The pool is bit on the small side for teenagers and was still pretty cold this time of the year. We still enjoyed the patio and view of the golfers. The location was great. We could walk to Avis to rent a car. There are bars and restaurants to walk to as well. read more

My 3 kids and I stayed at southern 2068 for 4 nights. Prior to our arrival I had received multiple automated email/texts regarding check in. After a late flight we arrived to the unit. It was difficult to locate the unit in the dark as the check in instructions had no information to help find the unit and the unit number are not lit. After we found our unit we tried the key code and it did not work. For 30 minutes at 10:15pm we tried to text/call look at the map again to verify the unit but still could not enter the unit. I attempted to call again and finally someone picked up. Their first question was "is this the first time you called" with the following "do you want the code now?" Not apologetic at all for the mishap. The next day I discussed the issue and they kept saying it was a human mistake and they hoped I understood. I had asked for some compensation for the error and they asked me what I thought would be appropriate compensation. On our day of check out I had extended our stay for 1/2 the price of the night because our flight was 5 hours after check out. I asked them to comp that extended stay since it was only 5 hours and they replied that they did not think that was appropriate compensation for their mistake. They offered a gift basket which never arrived and they never attempted to fix this issue at all for the rest of our stay. The actual unit was ok- however the bathrooms and laundry smelled moldy as if the tub cleaning cycle has never been run on the machine. Also the master bedroom has a thin comforter but the other two rooms have a very thin quilt that is not warm at all. The kitchen is well stocked with plates, cups, bowls, and appliances. There is a fitness center and a pool but there was no information on how to access it. If you choose to stay here the keys that are left open the gate to the pool and then there's a door from the pool deck to access the fitness center. The fitness center is very dated and there is not a ton of equipment. The check out instruction say take out the garbage but it gives no instruction where or how. There is a gated dumpster at the end of the road for your trash. The bathrooms and towels do smell moldy but they do provide some basic toiletries. They also had a couple bottles of water, popcorn, and candy at check in. All in all the unit is ok but this review is more for the management company and customer service. We were locked out of the unit for a considerable time, late at night with three young kids because of an error on their part and it was never fixed. read more

Our Fulton Ranch rental was a wonderful experience! The unit was beautiful and fully stocked with everything you need right down to lovely beach towels to use at the pool. Cooking was a breeze with nice pots and pans and plenty of dishes, glasses, and flatware. We were so comfortable that our time just flew by. The unit is very quiet and private. When we checked in we noticed a couple of light bulbs were burned out. Elite sent someone the next morning and fixed them immediately. Great service. The Elite team communicates the check in process and check out process so well and they work hard to make you feel at home. We have rented through Elite 5 times now and they are top notch! If I could give them zero stars I would. On our way from the airport to our rental, I texted asking for the check in information. They called about 20 minutes later and told me "air B and B had double booked our stay". Wrong. This is not air b and bs fault. I called air B and B. Speaking with Stephanie, unfortunately the manager, she found us a "com-probable stay". Upon arrival, it was half the size, dingey, algea filled pool, garage full to the brim, and tons of stinky garbage in the garage. We quickly called and said no, this will not do. She claimed to be in the mountains, so couldn't look for another option for us until tomorrow.......hm. She was extremely unpleasant, and didn't even apologize. Instead tried to argue the entire time. Long story short, we canceled everything thru them and found an awesome air B and B. Watch out, DO NOT USE ANYTHING THRU ELITE VACATION RENTALS. They had everything set up the way they described and all we had to do was move our clothes in. This condo has it all. Right across the road from the driving range, clubhouse and activities center. You couldn't ask for any better location to Texas Ranger Spring Training Facility. We 2.5 miles to the field and it's a very nice walk. Unit 912 couldn't be any better. King bed is wonderful and with a very clean and organized home. We're close to Bell Rd where there's plenty of good eating places and shopping. Walgreens and Albertsons are within walking distance. Homeowners or renters I hope you read these reviews. Most are poor for a reason. Zero would be my star if given a choice. We rented an AirBnB that this company manages a couple of weeks ago. Our first problem was with the house temperature. The air is controlled remotely by them. It was too hot at night. I asked politely if we could have the airconditioning set lower than 72 at night. I was told to open the windows. That would absolutely not be safe nor would I sleep well with the windows open. The rooms had fans, but the fan would only work with the light on in 2 of the bedrooms. They told me that in AZ you can't run the air conditioner below 72. That just isn't even true. And running the air conditioner in March below 72 would present no problems at all. It wasn't until I said I would have to contact AirBnB that they helped us out and changed the air setting. There were a handful of things that needed to be fixed in this house. The dryer had no knob. They left a pair of pliers to run the dryer. One of the bedroom windows would not close all the way or lock. Sheets and blankets...poor quality. I hope the homeowners figure this out soon. The staff person we worked with of this company was dismissive and untruthful. Very poor public relations skills. read more

This company is listed on Airbnb. When I booked though Airbnb I sent messages asking about cancellation due to Coronavirus . Specifically because California is constantly changing rules. I was told because of Covid they have a very relaxed cancellation policy. When rules changed and we couldn't go - they kept half of my money. When I called Elite travel abs spoke with Stephanie - she said it was an Airbnb issue. I asked for a number to call Airbnb. Her reply "google it". Zero stars. Booked a reservation through Airbnb with Elite Vacation Rentals as the third party host. Unfortunately, I had to cancel the reservation due to extenuating circumstances. I called 33 days prior to my reservation and Airbnb informed me that only Elite Vacation Rentals could issue a refund. After calling and messaging Elite Vacation Rentals numerous times I finally got a hold of Stefanie who was very rude, irritated, and demeaning. She said the only option is to cancel through Airbnb with no refund, and she made very clear that i they DO NOT REFUND ANYONE.
