inept placement and panel design, lower than promised power generation. non-existent customer…read moreservice. I had SunRun install solar on two homes the first has way less panels than required for typical use, roof has an entire pitch not used and yet another porch roof that could be used. they claim they couldn't put panels there. so promised generation was 70 percent of use. and while waiting for second home to get their installation going, noticed 1st home not even generating close to 70 percent!!! sales guy claims cloudy days, winter, bla. la, but that surely new install will generate MORE, so you'll have positive credits to apply to home number one's short generation. We know they can "break" their iwn placement and panel rules because they told me nearly same thing in home number two, saying roof sag prohibited using both pitches of roof or spreading them out... Roofer came and pulled off ridge vent to provide phot evidence that roof was fine. Miraculously they all of a sudden COULD use both pitches and spread panels as that's how home two solar instal WAS completed... breaking their own rules. did home two power generation provide credits to cover home one shortfall??? buzzer sound nope that's not doing it either! so calling customer service, yielded zero help, beginning with Cory the install power up rep.... got the classic "it's not my job" response. next was calls and text chats with customer service, customer engagement and you pick a title. since I have to keep repeating the issue (because no one takes notes) after eleven yes eleven agents I still have no promised call back from a manager and no resolution. the agents were Victor, Santiago, Dayana twice, Fernanda, Fabian, Abdee, Juilieth, Mayden, Sam, and others... nice folks! horrible Solar customer service capability. At one point they actually claimed I was to call Cory. I laughed. That's where this all started!!! lol But I did anyway, and again got the "it's not my job" response number two. They seem nice but nothing ever comes to fruition. The final straw for me to write this was the dialog with Julieth who promised a tech manager appointment asap. she claimed (and I fell for it yet again) I would be getting a call or email she promised.... That was a Friday afternoon. Friday night (same day as speaking with Jukieth) I got an unsigned Sunrun email saying the case has been closed!!! With zero explanation and zero resolution of the core issues!!! First being sub promised power generation (not by a little, by 90 percent). Issue not resolved! Second being no friggin call back EVER from the promised manager. And there were even extraneous sales calls coming in mid issue, that kept masquerading as issue calls!! ***They are school kids in a garage using tin cans and string. This operation is soooo poorly run and sooo vapid of any interest in helping customers that I say don't SunRun Just Run run run away if you see them coming. Horrible. Sub professional, uninterested, and lacking real solar expertise in design.

We've had our solar panels for a couple of years now. The salesman convince me that we were going…read moreto generate enough power from our solar panels that in the summer we would generate enough that by the time winter came we would have no electric bills. That of course proved to be false so I called up and they said oh wait another year you signed up at the worst time of year. So I waited another year and now I have $650 electric bills plus paying them for the panels every month. Everything they said was a lie every smile I know this is going to be great is all bs. I would do anything to get rid of these panels. Do not trust them for one second. When they say sunrun you should run!

The rep was very informative and seemed knowledgeable. But where they put the outdoor boxes was…read moredifferent than where the rep said they would be installed. Had we known that, we might have made a different decision as the final placement is unsightly. Customer service needs to be much better. The panels had to be removed for a roof repair. But after the roof was repaired trying to get them reinstalled is a nightmare. It has been over a month with the panels sitting in the back yard. I made numerous phone calls, each time the project manager was in a meeting and could not get to the phone. I did get one phone message that reinstallation was subcontracted to a local company. After several more calls, I finally found out the name of the subcontractor. But that subcontractor has not contacted me yet. And now, every call to Sunrun has the project manager in a meeting and a gernal response of 'its been subcontracted'. If considering Sunrun, think long term as their support seems to dwindle once you are committed by the installation.

Aggressive Sales & Predatory Math I am writing this to warn…read moreother homeowners to look closely at the math before signing anything with Sunrun. My experience felt less like a green energy solution and more like a predatory financial trap. The Financial Reality Check: * My Actual Bill: My current electric bill is $107/month. * Sunrun's Quote: They wanted to charge me $209/month to start. * The Difference: They were asking me to pay nearly double my current costs for the "privilege" of having solar. The "Free Roof" Hook: The salesperson heavily pushed the idea that Sunrun would replace my roof. However, this is a major red flag. By bundling the roof into a 25-year lease, you aren't getting it for free - you are paying for it through that inflated monthly bill. Over the life of the contract, you end up paying significantly more for that roof than if you had hired a contractor directly. Aggressive Sales Tactics: * Hidden Contracts: I thought I was providing information for a quote, but I was signing what turned out to be a formal lease agreement with unfavorable terms (that I canceled). * The "Ghosted" Revision: I have a brand-new 200-amp electrical panel, which makes my home a "plug-and-play" install. When I pointed this out and demanded a 0% annual escalator (instead of their 3% compounding increase), the rep promised revised numbers in writing. He never sent them. * Lack of Disclosure: In two hours of "chatting," there was zero mention of panel degradation (panels producing less power as they age) or a clear breakdown of roof costs vs. solar costs. Summary: Sunrun seems to prey on people. Never sign on the spot.

Run run run away from this scam of a company! Solar was installed 3 years ago and never worked…read moreproperly. Their "computers tell them it is running perfect" it doesn't! We had to call in and tell them it was not working it's ridiculous that we have a $500 electric bill plus the solar payment each month! Believe me they hound you every month for their payment ( which we have never missed or been late on). We have a performance guarantee in our contract and now that they have to compensate it is a constant run around. The answer when I call is always " you have a new case manager and they will call you in 24-48 hours" BS they never call. I have called every week for 4 months after we discovered our panels were not producing with no resolve. Next move lawyer and removal of panels. Done playing with this scam of a company. SUNRUN SUCKS!!!

I went with RevoluSun primarily due to their consistently high ratings on review sites and the BBB…read more They were not the lowest price. However, the lowest price vendor had aweful ratings and very poor BBB reviews. I'm happy with RevoluSun's price. I had a Zoom sales meeting in late February and the panel was turned on in July. A large reason for the five-month delay was town and power company inspections. I was told these delays are expected ahead of time, so no surprise. The steps involved included getting aerial surveillance, plans for the job, checking roof stability, electricians, and as mentioned before inspections, inspections, inspections, and more inspections. The actual installation was done in two mornings, clean and without any issues. I only have the highest regard for the RevoluSun people involved. Pros: Work was done without any problems. My first electrical bill was $5, the next two were around $20. Not $250. I believe them when they said the panels should be paid off in 6 years. I believe my total cost (after tax rebates) will be about $10,000. Cons: I reviewed the contract very carefully and found a number of flaws (e.g., missing guarantee for the panels' life, some damage exclusions made no sense). I'm no lawyer, but it pays to read the 'fine' print. They approved my revisions. The final visit and review of the app was originally scheduled as a Zoom meeting. There were enough details (e.g., what the 3 indoor and 2 outdoor switches do - and what I need to do in an emergency, the app showing electrical savings, review of the power company's 3 most recent bills) that I strongly suggest it be a person-to-person meeting. The project manager sent four emails trying to get it to be a Zoom meeting. I was able to get a vice president to explain the system. A very, very good 1-to-1 meeting.

From the start he came with detailed information, a very well thought out proposal and clear pricing. All that, and he didn't have the typically pushy approach. I think they know that the work they put into the proposal does the heavy lifting. If you're looking for pros to take care of your advanced installation, this is the team. I had them install a SPAN smart panel and two SolarEdge batteries in my system and everything runs great! The team was responsive and communicative throughout the entire process, and always quick to chase down any answers to my very specific questions. They handled all the incentive and connected solutions paperwork and I'm confident they'll continue to support their product into the future. 10/10 would recommend.
