We…read morealready had forced air, but they replaced all of the ducts on the first floor and extended them to the third floor. The owner Jonathan was the first person who came to our house. He and his colleague carefully took measurements and temperature readings throughout the house and then showed us their proposal. The whole consultation took a couple hours and was at no cost to us. Green Energy was the fifth and final quote that we got from HVAC companies and it was the one we chose to go with. They seemed to be up to date on modern technologies and talked about going to conferences and learning about new techniques. The plan for the HVAC renovation was elaborate and EXPENSIVE. I don't necessarily think that it was too expensive for what we got. In fact, I genuinely think we got a deal! They gave us less expensive options but we chose to go with the most expensive one. That was our choice. Three guys came to our house 4-5 days a week for about 2-3 weeks. The main guy was named Endrit who was clearly an experienced professional. We loved the ethnic and racial diversity of the crews. They were all sooooo nice and friendly. I felt very comfortable with them. They were also very clean, always putting down tarps on the floor. The only issue was with the electricity. They failed to identify that we didn't have enough electricity coming into the house from the street to support two heat pumps. They were kind of embarrassed but we understand that Jonathan isn't an electrician and didn't know. So, upgrading our electrical box was an unexpected expense that we HAD to do midway through this job. They set it up so that we could have AC in the summer, but we had to upgrade our electrical before using the heat. Communicating with the company went pretty smoothly. We could email office people or text managers and installers. They were pretty responsive. In fact, we came away with the thought that Green Energy is our favorite major contractor that we've ever worked with! I know that we were annoying at times but they never ever let on that they were bothered. They patiently answered our questions again and again! Green Energy did a final check of the HVAC system in the summer (with AC) and in the fall (with heat) to make sure that everything worked properly. They submitted our rebates for us to the state and it was SOOO nice to get a little money back. In the long term, we are eager to continue working with Green Energy. As part of this HVAC renovation, we have a warranty with them. We need to have them come and check on things every year which gives me peace of mind that the people who know our system best will be the folks maintaining it.

They will contact you as soon as they don't get paid; but will act confused as to why you aren't paying them for a service that you didn't receive.

Taking a few stars off because I'm very disappointed with how this situation was handled…read more Cullen Plumbing installed a faucet for me that had been purchased about 4-5 months earlier. The workers who did the installation were very nice and professional, and I paid $175 for the installation. About a month or so later, the plastic sprayer part began sticking and would stay on. The hose itself was fine. One day I noticed a Cullen Plumbing van at my condo complex and saw that they were already doing work in my building. I left a message explaining the problem and said that if they happened to have time to look at it while they were already there, that would be great, but that it was not an emergency and they could come whenever it was convenient. Marc stopped by my unit that same day and agreed that the plastic sprayer part was not working properly. He asked whether Cullen had purchased the faucet or whether I had. I honestly could not remember at the time because I had been hospitalized with sepsis in December, which had significantly affected my memory, among other things. Marc replaced only the plastic sprayer part. There was no hose replacement, and the part took just a few minutes to swap out. I did not receive a bill at the time. A few months later, while preparing to sell my condo, I was going through my Home Depot account and discovered that I had, in fact, purchased the faucet myself. I wanted to do the right thing, so I contacted Marc and let him know that I had purchased it and told him he should send me a bill for replacing the sprayer part. Imagine my surprise when I received an invoice for $190 -- more than I had originally paid for the entire faucet installation -- for replacing a simple plastic sprayer part that took only minutes, especially since Cullen was already working in my building that day. I had no problem paying a fair and reasonable amount for the part and Marc's time. In fact, I was the one who reached out months later to make sure I paid for it. But $190 for this particular repair feels excessive and, unfortunately, like a quick money grab after I tried to do the honest thing. I'm disappointed because my original experience with the workers was positive. Cullen Plumbing also does a lot of work at the new community I've moved to, but fortunately I've since received a referral to another plumber whom I'll be using in the future.
