Think about how mild the past few winters have been and about how many times I pulled the cord after they fixed it....maybe a dozen. I think that all of the negative reviews speak for themselves and the responses from B&G employees are pretty awful. Stay away....$200 for an oil change and a new pull cord is ridiculous. December 20' update l - the $200 pull cord dry-rotted and broke the first time that I pulled it this year. I've had pull cords outlast engines. Not only did they overcharge me, they also used poor quality parts.

To date, I have not received a response from the company. I am writing to you under the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 93A, Section 9, the Consumer Protection Act. I am writing to request relief as outlined in that statute. On or about 10/17/13, the following unfair or deceptive act(s) or practice(s) occurred: On 10/17/13, we hired a roofing contractor to install a CertainTeed asphalt shingle roof on our home. After 2 1/2 years the roof has failed. The adhesive strip on the shingles did not seal properly causing numerous shingles to lift and blow off the house. Since so many shingles are now lifting off the roof, the entire roof has been compromised. Since your product has a 30 year guarantee, we submitted a warranty claim. As recommended by CertainTeed, we hired a second Massachusetts licensed contractor to inspect the roof. He determined the roof was installed properly. Unfortunately my claim was denied by CertainTeed Corporation. Since CertainTeed refuses to honor their warranty we intend to pursue this issue in Massachusetts small claims court for the sum of $6,400.00, the cost of the original installation, plus 163.30 in court fees. Under the provisions of Section 9 Chapter 93A, I am providing you with the opportunity to make a written offer of settlement of this claim by repairing/replacing the roof or refunding us the total cost of installation within 30 days. If you fail to make a good faith offer of settlement in response to this request, and I institute legal action, a court may award me double or triple damages, attorney's fees and costs if the court finds in my favor. Tractor tune-ups used to involve calling a repair business, wait for them to pick up my tractor, work on it and then return it. It could take up to 10 days. Mowers n' More took a few days to set the appointment and 90 minutes in my driveway. He breaks the tractor down, cleans it, changes the oil and gas filters, and spark plugs. He was on time and left my driveway clean and was no more expensive (maybe cheaper) than my former tune-up guy. The scheduling of the appointment is done all over the internet. Very easy.
