We had a worrisome electrical issue on the third floor of our very old (100 plus years) house and needed an electrician familiar with old homes. This company came highly recommended by good friends. John called us back quickly,, came when scheduled, and was fantastic in all ways: very experienced and skilled and a truly kind person as well. The problem is fixed, he took care of two other minor issues, and the invoice was not inexpensive but very reasonable. Like our friends, we wI'll use Hillcrest again in a heartbeat. And the wonderful thing is that it's a very small company - just the owner, John, and an apprentice. So you (and we) will know who is coming. read more

Excellent experienced intelligent polite people who do a quality competent job like it was their own house.

This company is really wonderful. John arrived within minutes after I spoke with him and was absolutely delightful, patient, and got the job done! I highly recommend Hillcrest Electric. They provide the exact kind of service we all hope for. read more

They arrived within the hour of our call and accessed the circuit problems in the panel box, relays and baseboard heaters. Promptly addressed failed components, and immediately returned much need heat to several rooms in the main floor of the house. They are Professional, exceptional and we as a family would never consider going anywhere else. Thank you! read more

We needed to have all the smoke/carbon monoxide detectors replaced in our home. I called on a Thursday and left a message. About an hour later, John called back and explained we would be put on his "Hit or Miss List" (Meaning if there was time at the end of the day, he would call and come by to do the job, otherwise an actual appointment might be in a couple weeks). He tried to come by the next day, but we were out. Over the weekend we were hit by 20" of snow with roads impassable through Monday. On Tuesday morning he called and said he could be right over. He came and finished replacing all 7 detectors AND installed new LED bulbs AND fixed wiring on a cellar fixture in 45 minutes! FAST! Friendly! Excellent communication! Efficient and tidy! All work through the past few years has been done equally well and the charges were very reasonable...we have yet to be billed but expect them to be fair. We highly recommend Hillcrest Electric! read more

I used Hillcrest for a difficult job -- installing a ceiling fan on a high ceiling -- and they were on-time and did a first-rate job. I'm pleased with the result. read more

Hillcrest Electric came right away to take a look at the work being requested, and followed up with an estimate right away. However, several emails and phone calls and weeks later, I am still trying to get an answer from them that they would take the job and schedule. Had wanted to do business with them, but it seems they are not interested. Frustrating. A simple "no, we are too busy right now" would have been more polite, professional and I would not have lost so many weeks of time waiting for them. read more

Came right away to give me a quote, emailed it to me a few days later and I have been trying for several weeks to schedule them to do the work. Called and emailed 4-5 times....with no response. Rather frustrating. read more

Fantastic service. I called Hillcrest and left a voicemail and within a hour I got a call back from John saying he could come over and see what was going on. He found the problem and was able to fix it within 20 minutes. Very professional and super fast service! read more

These guys are phenomenal. Called several places and John was the only one that offered to visit to give me an accurate quote. His quote was competitive and I went with them. On the day of installment, they showed up on time and did a great job replacing and installing multiple lights inside and out. They were very courteous and left the place clean. One of them dropped one of the new lights and it broke, so they automatically called the light place and ordered a new one to be delivered. They came back and installed it in no time. Bill was great as well with the invoice and following up. They are busy, so expect to wait a bit to get them but I would rather wait and have the job done right. Highly recommended. read more

John and Kyle were extremely helpful in fixing some electrical issues with our house. They were polite, knowledgeable and nice to work with. They had meaningful suggestions but were not at all pushy in the process. They were also extremely prompt and responsive. I'm very happy to have found them and look forward to using them again. read more

Wow, what luck to find the reviews of this company on Yelp and then be able to get in touch with them so easily! I had a cable blow out this morning and had no idea what to do. Called Hillcrest and left a message, and within the hour John called back, had a free moment so came by to check out the problem, and FIXED it immediately! Couldn't hope for anything better! read more

We bought our home in the fall of 2018, a 100+ year old colonial with great bones and a lot of small projects to take care of. The house had been in the same family since it was built, and we had some older wiring techniques that our home inspector said should be addressed right away. Bill and the folks at Hillcrest Electric were great to work with, fast, and super friendly. Bill explained all of our options for each wiring issue, and gave us some detail about what needed to be updated, what didn't, and why. They even came back without charge when a small secondary issue popped up a week later. I would recommend them without hesitation. read more

I had Bill install a pole light in the driveway and a heavy duty light fixture in the house. He and his assistant came when he said that he would, cleaned up all debris and did an overall great job for a reasonable price! I highly recommend him and his company. read more

Returned my call super promptly and was able to come for service same day! Then the following day, had an unrelated issue following an installation of some Nest equipment by someone else. Hillcrest again promptly responded, came right over and fixed the botched job done by the Nest installer. Have used Hillcrest numerous times and have always had a great experience that includes friendly, well-done service with plenty of education on the job being done upon request. Highly recommend! read more

Great work and competitive pricing. Would definitely recommend to use their services.

Prompt, swift working, knowledgeable and about as good as it gets. Very impressed and will use again.

They came out to look at some old 1930s wiring in a house we just bought and did not charge me. We pretty much got an electrical inspection for free, but we would have been happy to pay as we gained some very useful information and peace of mind. Very knowledgeable and friendly. I will definitely be using them in the future once we need the work to be done. read more

Fantastic service, called me back and they were legit at my house in 10 minutes. Went above and beyond ! Will be using again in the future. Thanks ! read more

Very bad customer service. Difficult to schedule an appointment, and when they finally came, they had the wrong part. Six weeks later, I'm still waiting for my light to be fixed. No status updates, and a whole lot of attitude from the technician. I'd look elsewhere. read more
