I went with RevoluSun primarily due to their consistently high ratings on review sites and the BBB. They were not the lowest price. However, the lowest price vendor had aweful ratings and very poor BBB reviews. I'm happy with RevoluSun's price. I had a Zoom sales meeting in late February and the panel was turned on in July. A large reason for the five-month delay was town and power company inspections. I was told these delays are expected ahead of time, so no surprise. The steps involved included getting aerial surveillance, plans for the job, checking roof stability, electricians, and as mentioned before inspections, inspections, inspections, and more inspections. The actual installation was done in two mornings, clean and without any issues. I only have the highest regard for the RevoluSun people involved. Pros: Work was done without any problems. My first electrical bill was $5, the next two were around $20. Not $250. I believe them when they said the panels should be paid off in 6 years. I believe my total cost (after tax rebates) will be about $10,000. Cons: I reviewed the contract very carefully and found a number of flaws (e.g., missing guarantee for the panels' life, some damage exclusions made no sense). I'm no lawyer, but it pays to read the 'fine' print. They approved my revisions. The final visit and review of the app was originally scheduled as a Zoom meeting. There were enough details (e.g., what the 3 indoor and 2 outdoor switches do - and what I need to do in an emergency, the app showing electrical savings, review of the power company's 3 most recent bills) that I strongly suggest it be a person-to-person meeting. The project manager sent four emails trying to get it to be a Zoom meeting. I was able to get a vice president to explain the system. A very, very good 1-to-1 meeting. read more

If you're looking at a solar install, look no further! Paolo Ricci, Project Developer was my go-to guy and he was great from beginning to end. From the start he came with detailed information, a very well thought out proposal and clear pricing. All that, and he didn't have the typically pushy approach. I think they know that the work they put into the proposal does the heavy lifting. If you're looking for pros to take care of your advanced installation, this is the team. I had them install a SPAN smart panel and two SolarEdge batteries in my system and everything runs great! The team was responsive and communicative throughout the entire process, and always quick to chase down any answers to my very specific questions. They handled all the incentive and connected solutions paperwork and I'm confident they'll continue to support their product into the future. 10/10 would recommend. read more

A year update. RevoluSun has delivered on there promises. Durning Covid there was a shortage on chips for certain inverters. The current inverter I received so the project could be completed on time did not have a built-in consumption meter. Well, as of today, revolution came and installed a consumption meter fulfilling, their commitment of fantastic customer service. Promises kept. My Solar Array has worked as promised delivering outstanding results... Revolusun gets an A+ for every aspect of our project. We researched 10 companies and had 4 of them come to our house to work on a plan/estimate. A couple of other companies were contenders, but in the end Revolusun came back with the best price per kilowatt and they helped us determine what would work best for us in a way that made sense. From Richie's first sales visit, to Ian who came to scope out the plan, to the crew that came to install, the electricians, the guy who handled the town inspector (who was not easy to pin down), to the office staff that did their part remotely, to Richie's final follow up - the entire experience was fast, efficient and professional. We had many questions, the more we learned about solar the more questions we had. Ian answered all of our questions and even answered many questions we didn't think to ask. All very important when trying to navigate through a project that has many benefits but also a few potential pitfalls due to the way electric companies have tried to rig the system in their favor. Our roof was a challenge to work with due to its configuration, and we couldn't install a ground array for several reasons. Revolusun gave us a great option that optimized panel placement for maximum energy production. Our neighbor who works in the solar industry confirmed that we got a very competitive price. We had a problem with a subpanel right after the electrical work and Revolusun sent an electrician to help quickly. The problem didn't turn out to be related to the work they did, but they helped us troubleshoot and correct the issue anyway. The solar edge app is easy to use and allows us to monitor productivity by panel. We've reduced our CO2 production by almost 12,000 lbs in just a few months and paid for over $1600 of our electric bill! In general, it has helped us to be more energy conscious which has changed some our usagw behaviors in a positive way. We are very happy with the service we received and would use them again if we ever decide to expand, add a power wall, etc.. We definitely reccomend Revolusun to anyone considering solar. read more

We already had solar on the home, installed from a different company who went out of business two years earlier. I contacted several solar companies including RevoluSun when I learned our system had no one managing because the previous installer also had died and did not turn over the clients to anyone. RevoluSun was the only company to respond quickly. I didn't know at first I was speaking with the owner. I only learned when I looked up the company and found him listed on the website. At that time, i also saw Tesla PowerWall and jumped on the opportunity quickly. The entire process, start to finish, was handled with high respect and great care. The electricians that have been to the house, whether for inspections or actual work, are 5 STAR as well. They are very knowledgeable and practically reorganized our electric panel. It needed it because we have had so many different hands in it. In any event, we ordered a single PowerWall which is capable of up to 30 amps. So if you have a well pump or anything else that starts up, chances are it's startup amperage is high. You may need two PowerWalls is the startup exceeds 30-Amp. Either way, the electricians will perform a load test to verify. RevoluSun will not tell you to buy more than you need. There is no salesman pressure to buy either. I wished we had known about this company from the time we had our solar panels installed. But glad RevoluSun has taken over management of our system. These losers have called me every day for the last three years. I contacted them on a friends advice and then lost interest as we decided to move. After we moved, I spoke with them again and told them that the new house has an older roof, and would need replacing before solar consideration, so I couldn't right now. After that, they have called my phone every day, sometimes twice a day, for the last three years. I know this because I had an iPhone, and when you block a number on an iphone, you never see it again. I replaced that with an Android, and suddenly the calls reappeared. I put a hard block on them via Verizon, and I guess it expired, so I'm getting one call a day again. I have it on block and after three years, I guess it's time to write a review and let others know what they're in for. If you contact them about solar, and decide it's not right for you, right now, be prepared to have them spam your phone until you change your number. read more

I chose RevoluSun after speaking with some of their existing clients, seeing jobs they had performed, and hearing their no pressure pitch as to why they were the best option out there. They consulted with me to understand what I wanted and provided me with multiple options. They were transparent in terms of price, timeline, benefits, etc. They truly wanted to partner with me to make sure I was happy not just with the installation but also with the ongoing support they are able to provide should any issues arise. RevoluSun employees are friendly, respectful, polite and patient. The end product was of extremely high quality (it looks amazing!) and they took the time to answer all my questions, perform a virtual walk-through (due to COVID restrictions), etc. The only negative part of the experience was due to the delays by Eversource in getting the solar meter installed (they took about 2 months to do a job that literally took 5 minutes). To be clear, though, RevoluSun has no control over Eversource's scheduling of meter swaps. My experience was and has continued to be extremely positive with RevoluSun. This is a world class company. From start to finish, Revolusun was incredibly organized, responsive, and meticulous about its work. They clearly laid out the process from the start. They were clear and honest about the exact costs and tax refunds/credits we were eligible for. They were very responsive to all questions we had (which were many!). Throughout the process (a very long, complicated one by nature of the project), they communicated clearly to us each step. The actual installation of the panels and electrical wires was done quickly, cleanly, and on-time. The workers were all enthusiastic to help us and answer any questions we had. The entire team from the electricians to the project managers to those doing the physical installation were all world-class in the detail they put forth. The person who ensured the success of this project by over watching every step along the way and being our go-to-guy for questions was the salesman, Richie. We have yet to encounter as smart and honest a salesman who's on top of everything and always willing to explain anything anytime (even responded via email during his vacation!). I started my journey to solar in June 2019. I did a lot of online research and joined EnergySage.com. I received six different quotes and contacted a few of the installers who were local. EnergySage includes a lot of national installers which is not what I was looking for. One came to my house, looked at my roof and confirmed the estimate. I did some additional research on this company and found that they hadn't done a lot of solar jobs in Massachusetts. They also didn't provide any financing. I decided to look elsewhere and inquired about SunPower who referred me to RevoluSun. I met with a sales rep named Dan Valianti who came to my home in late September. We had a very thorough meeting one Saturday morning. Dan walked me through the process, told me about SunGage which offers financing, and answered all my questions. Dan was not like other salesmen who can be pushy to get the sale. He was very responsive, straight-forward and made no promises. One thing that stood out about RevoluSun is their warranty which is 25 years. Dan mentioned how SunPower panels are harder to get so I settled on Panasonic panels. RevoluSun's estimate was higher than other installers, but with their warranty and parts used for the install which is of superior quality than competitors, I signed the contract in October. The process for solar can be long. Dan warned me about this. There is a lot of waiting involved. I also purchased a new roof which RevoluSun referred the work to Millstream Construction. I had some issues with this company which can be found on my separate review of them, but RevoluSun did their best to move the process along. I met with Ian Clifford who did the design which included 12 panels on my front roof and 12 panels on the back. Ian was great to work with. I would text him at different times of the day and he would always get back to me including after 10pm at night. He is a very dedicated individual who wants to make the customer happy. The roof was finally installed in December, but due to bad weather, the panels were installed in early January 2020. The install came out better than I expected. I recently setup the SolarEdge app so I can monitor my energy production. Ian came to my house on a Sunday to help me with Sense Solar which is an add-on to my Sense monitor that I already had in my house. The RevoluSun team is awesome. From Dan to Ian to Joe who is one of the installation managers to the team at the corporate office that helped with permitting and the SMART program application, they were all a pleasure to deal with. We had a great experience with Revolusun. They're totally on top of the process, only use top quality panels and components and they care about the aesthetics. The rack system looks tight and there's no conduit running down the side of the house (they ran it down next to a vent pipe). Everyone we worked with was helpful and eager to help. They were able to incorporate roof work into the overall project, enabling us to kill two birds with one stone. The only things holding me back from a five star rating are that there was turnover in Sales that meant a little extra knowledge transfer and it did seem to take communication with half-a-dozen Revolusun people in order to get the whole thing done. My wife and I looked at multiple companies when exploring solar and ended up choosing RevoluSun as our installer. They explained the programs available to us and easily navigated us through the incentives from the state and federal government. The other companies we spoke with pushed a lease product on us heavily and tried to scare us out of owning the system ourselves. They said the incentives from the utility company were volatile, however they seemed eager to take them on their end which didn't make sense to us. In the end we are happy with our decision to purchase, however RevoluSun did offer both lease and purchase. Avoid them at all costs.......... I contacted them back in February. After a few emails back and forth, they said they would call me the following Monday and never heard back. Emailed them three times. Finally, someone called me, apologizing for dropping the ball. Then we set up an appt. He was supposed to email me to confirm. Never heard from him, had to email yet again. I left work early to make it home in time. Sitting there waiting for him, I look at the phone and see he called 25 minutes before our appt time and left a message saying he felt that we were not a good candidate for solar, due to the trees and blah blah blah. Then he asked for a referral. A referral for what? Being unprofessional and not following through? Ok, you got my referral on that. Had he taken the time to stay and meet with me, he would have learned that we were cutting down all the trees around our property, which would have given the house more sun exposure. Their competitor, RGS, came out, stuck to their appt times, and have earned our business. read more

I wish I could leave a positive review, but unfortunately our experience with revolusun has been anything but that. We had used them for solar on our previous home, and after comparing proposals for a new home, decided to use them again. Unfortunately, this time we have struggled with communication and changing costs and system specifications. At multiple points in time they have added additional costs for items that were already part of our initial plans and discussions with the company (pre-wiring during the build phase of the home for example). Communication has been slow and we have found them argumentative and unhelpful along the way. They have admitted they are understaffed and alluded to that as the reason why errors were made, but we have been left paying for their mistakes with little recourse as these things all popped after the project was started. Ultimately, it seems we will be left with a lower producing system at a higher cost than what was initially proposed. If we could go back and work with a different company now, we would. Hopefully others will not find themselves in the same situation. read more

These guys were great. The sales guy Richie was very informative, and helpful. Explained all the stuff about the srecs and helped us get it all done. We were adding on to a system installed by a different vendor, so there were a couple of hiccups along the way. But Revolusun remedied everything in a timely manner. They have set us up so our generation data is reported wirelessly, all I need to do is login to the portal to check the system's performance. Very happy with these guys. read more

They also had a gift card incentive when I signed, and have been promised for two months it will be in the mail for November, or in the mail for end of December. We had an excellent experience with Revolusun. They came highly recommended by a friend of ours. They met with us and did an evaluation of our roof and came up with a couple of different options. There was no high pressure sales pitch and they gave us time to think about what we wanted. Installation was easy - and they even did it during the horribly snowy winter of 2015. Unless you have a southern facing roof with perfect pitch and no trees, I would avoid the big companies of Solar City and Veridian. We started with the big companies but were rejected due to less than ideal setup. We have an east facing roof with low pitch. Revolusun was more than willing to take on our roof, explained things easily and came prepared with samples and a well prepared overview of the system and options. Revolusun was very quick to respond to questions and kept us in the loop during the entire process. The only negatives and why I didn't give them 5 stars were some scheduling issues with the electric team and delay registering our system for SREC credits. Hopefully this is just growing pains that they will soon resolve. Definitely recommend them. read more

They were at Bjs wholesale club trying to sell solar. We set up an appointment. The day before the appt the guy rescheduled and then again. When we dont answer the phone thats for a reason!! Finally we gave up and just forgot about it. I just got home from work and my boyfriend and I are enjoying dinner and my 2 dogs(1 is a protection dog) started going nuts! The guy from bjs just decided to show up at our house at 730 at night. 1, that is totally 100% illegal and 2, if he had come through my back gate my dog would of bit him and that would not be good for us and him! If I could I would rate them a half a star. You just dont show up at someones house like that... read more

Revolusun does a great job selling their products and convincing you that they have a better product (carry Sunpower which have one of the highest efficiency panels on the market as well as LG and Panasonic). Unfortunately they also tell you that they can get things done quickly, which is where they fall extremely short. We have been waiting for months for installation and I have to continually call them to see what the hold-up is, rather than them keeping me updated. We have heard excuses about problems with distribution from Sunpower and then when that was cleared, we still haven't gotten a clear answer for the delay. I called Sunpower and they were not aware of any shipping or distribution problems. Revolusun may have some good products and they do promise a long warranty. My worry is that if the time comes for any repairs in the future that I will again have to wait months for them to come. read more

I appreciated Tim, their 2nd tier sales man, who did a nice job explaining the product and the financing. Also, the quality of their product is top-notch - love the solar edge monitoring app. However, I felt like I had to be a squeaky wheel in terms of customer service all through siting and installation. They sometimes made errors (ie: sent info relevant to roof mounts not ground-mounts) and communication wasn't great and often last minute. We recently had an amazing customer service relationship with a realtor where on a weekly basis, they sent a round-up email that communicated all the steps in the process, what steps we had completed, what was next, and what the window of time for that step was. Revolusun would tremendously benefit from that kind of communication structure. Would take them from a B to an A+ in my book. read more

I had a fantastic experience with Revolusun. I decided to buy rather than lease, and they installed my 12 panel system this fall without a hitch. Their customer service has been just awesome. Case in point: my project developer, Enos, at one point received the kind of E-Mail that sales managers must absolutely dread. A mile-long list of more than 30 questions, on top of all the questions I'd spent two hours grilling him on during our in-person consultation. No problem! Back the answers came, neatly numbered and itemized for me. Any time that I've had any questions at all throughout the process, and I have had TONS (it's a character flaw, haha), Enos, my project's engineer Ian, operations manager Joe getting the inspectors out to me very promptly, Nelia in the office, Deta and Lauren guiding me through getting my system interconnected after it was installed, everyone has always been extremely prompt, friendly, and informative. They took care of everything for me. And they've kept all of their promises. The installation is awesome, proper flashing, QuickMount with an elevated water seal, they were on time and friendly, cleaned up promptly and completely, and I've got great quality panels up there. Mine have a temperature coefficient of -.258 degrees (most good panels are at about -.4) so they perform better than average on hot summer days, 18.8% efficiency, and a 25 year warranty (usually you'll get quoted 10-15). Cherry on top, they only degrade at a rate of .26% per year. Every other mid-range panel I was quoted degraded on the order of .5-.7% per year. 25 years from now, my panels will still be putting out more than 90% of what they can today. Most brands fall down to about 80% by then. So they're super premium SunPower quality panels (which Revolusun can install too, if you prefer) but less expensive than SunPower by about $1/watt. Worth it! Revolusun was about $1/watt more expensive than the cheapest offers, but frankly, when it comes to something this big and important, you don't want to go with the lowest bidder and wind up with not just low or middling quality panels, but cut corners and roof damage too. And after 25 years had gone by, if I'd gone with the super low bidders, I wouldn't be covering my bills anymore anyways because their panels would have degraded quite a bit by then. But Revolusun were also far from the most expensive - some of the bigger name companies in the area were charging $1-2/watt more than Revolusun, and for lower quality panels! Revolusun is one of the very few companies around that I found that installs Panasonic panels. See above as to why I'm so happy about that brand. So frankly, I think it's a great deal - super premium panels and high quality work, for mid-range price. They were always very sympathetic to my aesthetic concerns, too. My house is south-facing, a nice traditional little Cape Cod, and I was very sensitive about potentially changing its classic look. Revolusun went to every effort to create the most aesthetically pleasing system that they could, offering me black-on-black panels, working with me to make sure that the array was designed and installed perfectly symmetrically on my roof, running the conduit internally so that I didn't have a big ol' pipe running across the visible part of my roof, giving me options about where I wanted to have everything on the side of the house, and ultimately squeezing in behind some trees and bushes to hide things back there out of sight for me. I think they did an awesome job. There are even more reasons why I went with them, but nobody wants this review to be a novel. Seriously, CALL this company up, hear what they have to say. If they put so much effort and care into my tiny system on my tiny house with all my pickiness, they can do a fantastic job for you, too. No regrets! read more
