I cannot recommend Avi and his team highly enough. I set out to fully remodel my childhood home, and Avi made what should have been a stressful time so smooth, and dare I say enjoyable. I spent a lot of time interviewing potential contractors and did not feel I was able to communicate my vision with the MANY contractors I met with prior to meeting with Avi. Avi is personable and professional. His quote was reasonable and I felt comfortable communicating with him. He offered references and encouraged me to visit a job his crew had just completed to see their workmanship. After visiting and seeing the attention to detail, I was sold and ready to move forward with him. My remodeling project was a full remodel - 3 full baths, the kitchen, flooring, walls, and a fireplace redesign. Throughout the remodeling process, we met weekly at the project and he kept in close communication in between our meetings. There are always hiccups in any project of this scale, but together we were able to make compromises that did not dilute the integrity of my overall vision. Namely, when the style of kitchen cabinet I was hoping for was not available, he presented other suggestions. I selected a new cabinet color that I would have never even considered. Now, the kitchen is my favorite part of the house and the cabinets are better than my original design. The crew was meticulous especially with intricate tilework in my bathrooms and fireplace. It was clear the team takes pride in their work. As we worked through selecting colors and finishes, he gladly made suggestions, but ultimately, let me make my design choices. I couldn't be happier. I could not be happier with the remodel that Avi and the Elite Remodel team did! I count myself very lucky to say that there were no problems of any kind, no issues with timeline or cost overruns and this job was done during the pandemic. I was out of town for a full 25 days during the main scope of work and these guys really pushed themselves to get the job complete so I could return home within the agreed upon time frame. I was quite detailed about most every aspect of the job and they were very good about checking in with me via video on all the little decisions that had to be made. They were also great at making the right call on small details that I was not sure of. From my first meeting with Avi I felt very comfortable with both his experience, the clarity of his estimate and the fact that he was not pushy in any way. He was always responsive from initial meetings and estimating and even now that the job has been completed. He takes great care to make sure that you are entirely happy with the end result. One of my neighbors, who is a construction project manager, was doubtful of the scope of work and promised time frame but he was singing their praises and very impressed with the whole crew and job from his first fly by. Living in a condo complex means that your neighbors have to live thru your remodel but all of my surrounding neighbors were very complementary of and had become friendly with the crew throughout the project. Picking our contractor for our first remodeling project was a bit stressful. We've heard the remodeling horror stories and we had no references for contractors in San Diego, so we did our research through Yelp reviews and did our best interviewing contractors. We happened to meet with Avi first and we could tell he was a top candidate for the job. He came across already like a family friend genuinely interested in helping us out vs. a salesman more concerned with his company's bottom line. After meeting with multiple other contractors, our first instinct was right and we hired Avi for the job. We purchased our home in 2018. It is a 1970s home that was flipped in 2017. While most of the house was beautifully designed, the master and guest bathrooms were obvious afterthoughts. Their functionality was abysmal and it was poorly executed so we knew before buying that these were going to be our first projects. Unsurprisingly, Avi's team uncovered even more issues after the demo but what was particularly notable was his team's distraught. For one it was probably one of the worst jobs they had seen, but for another you could tell it did not sit well with them morally and ethically. This was when I knew they were going to do an incredible job, not only because they are great craftsmen but also because they have heart and are proud their work improves the quality of people's lives. We were not wrong. It felt like they remodeled our bathrooms like they were doing their own homes. As someone who can get somewhat OCD about the details, there was not one detail I could complain about. We were particularly impressed with the tiling work. They left no stone unturned when it came down to lining up every nook and cranny and they left us floored by their craftsmanship (all puns intended). On top of that all, we thoroughly enjoyed having them in our homes for those several weeks. While it could get stressful as both my husband and I were working from home and taking care of an infant, we appreciated the calming energy they brought to our home throughout the whole process. It felt like we were all a team marching in lock step through the entire project. This was a well-deserved 5 star review and we will undoubtedly employ them for future remodeling projects. Okay, where do we begin? We were relocating and needed to remodel and downsize into a condo. We interviewed several contractors and we are so lucky and pleased that we found Avi at Elite Remodeling & Design to lead the way and do incredible, beautiful work.
