I had to come to this salon recently since my normal nail shop is not opened on Sundays. All I needed was a gel polish color change. Not a manicure, not a fill, just a gel polish change. Not u til the very end was I told that it was going to cost me $23!!!!!!!!!!!! What robbery!!! On top of that, Vicky, who I had just met for the first time, was my nail tech that day, and during our conversation, she told me she use to work at a nail shop in Chesapeake but she didn't like it because too many BLACKS!!!!! I was APPALLED to say the least (my husband is BLACK)!!!!! Dear God, this place needs to be boycotted!!!! read more

I have been coming here for pedicures for at least five years. The service is consistently good. I've never been disappointed. Strongly recommend you make an appointment, especially on the weekend. They're busy. read more

I recently went for mani-pedi here. They are very fast and did not spend much time on me. The prices posted were $28 for regular pedi, and $16 for mani for a total of $44. When I went to pay they asked me for $50. I pointed to the price list and they said they were "old" price. One person did the pedicure, and another the manicure. I normally leave a generous tip, even to both technicians if necessary, so I just paid the $50 in cash and left. My plan had been to give each of them $5. read more

Best nail salon in the area! They have so many different regular and gel polishes to choose from. The staff is always so nice and accommodating and the place is so clean. All of the tools that they use on your nails are in a sealed sanitized package, which I love. Would highly recommend! They are always quick getting you in and take their time making sure your nails are perfect. read more

Tonight as my second time at Elite. Lien has a great shop, friendly staff and provides great service. I love the extra touches that other shops don't do. Cyndi R. read more

DO NOT EVER COME HERE!! I was a loyal customer for years and they do not respect that. I got my gel nails done here in within less than 24 hours 2 peeled off and one chipped and cracked down the middle. They would not refund the money nor give me a gift card to get them done for free another time. Terrible service and they use old/bad nail polish. Don't waste your time or money. read more

If I could less than 1 star I would. This is the second time I had come to this salon, as my regular salon was booked for the day. They are so rude here. I asked for a polish change on my toes, just a polish change with regular polish, they charged me $16 dollars. The sign on the wall advertised a totally different price and was asked 2 times what the tip would be at the register. My daughter was with me (16 years old) and needed a fill with regular polish, she was rude to my daughter and then the nails have bubbles in them. My daughter paid for her fill and it was $26 dollars ( again not the price on their wall) and was asked aggressively how much to add for tip and if she had cash for the tip. I will never go to this salon again and I would encourage others to look elsewhere for a nail salon. Terrible attitudes, rough on your nails and overall not a good quality. read more

I have read some bad reviews so I feel inclined to leave a good review. The ladies are professional yet do not force you into uncomfortable small talk the entire time. Yes, they do speak another language amongst each other but it does not bother me. They are detailed in doing my nails and I will continue to use them. (I will edit this review if my opinion changes. So far so good). read more

This place is fantastic!! I got a pedicure and shellac manicure yesterday. I have lived in the area for about a year now and I finally found my place!! The lady was so polite and the place is CLEAN!!! They use all sterile utensils fresh out of a new pack. And best part is NO DRILLS!! During my manicure a girl next to me was getting acrylic nails. All the filing and application of her nails was done by hand and no drills at all!!! The lady scrubbed my feet forever and gave a great arm and hand massage also. Highly recommend!! read more

This place is very clean but the people who work there are very rude, especially the guy that works there. He did a great job on my shellac manicure but that doesn't make up for the way he treated me. Go anywhere else for service that won't leave you feeling abused. read more

I will travel the distance to go to this wonderful excellent fantabulous nail salon! Very clean nail salon. They have a wall that separates the manicure stations from the pedicure area. The ambience is very soothing and the lighting is perfect. They take pride in their work. I've been to both men and both are very good. Living up and down the East Coast, I've patroned many nail salons - some good some bad. But this by far is my favorite. You don't have to worry about them being rude or leaving with a fungus, as they properly sterilize all tools and stations. I don't fear looking behind the pedicure bowl to find mildew and mold, as I've seen in many salons in the 757 (yuck!!) I advise you to make an appointment prior to going, especially Thursday through Sunday. They have a frequent visitor card which is very very nice; the frequent patron card comes in handy, in particular when you reach that 10 visit mark. Everyone is strongly encouraged to try the deluxe pedicure at least once; you will not regret it! Note: they accept CC tips, but prefer cash ( hey, who wouldn't want money in hand versus waiting for the owner to cash everyone out!?) read more

This is a very clean nail salon! Nice staff, great service. Ken did a great job on my mani/pedi gel nails. I went on a Saturday & the staff were deep cleaning the pedicure stations. They wiped down the pedi chairs, the rolling side stations & even the lotion bottles! Wow! A wonderfully modern nail salon. read more

Great experience. Friendly, reasonable and one of the best Shellac manicures I've ever had! Highly recommend and will be back!

Very nice atmosphere, very clean. I did not have an appointment and had to wait 35 minutes to get an mani and pedi because they were a little busy. The staff was friendly and polite, but they spoke their native language to each other, obviously excluding customers from conversations. I did not get anything fancy, but feet felt great after the pedicure and I was very satisfied with what I got. read more

This place is great. I bounce between this shop and another because this one is always full and needs more ladies to work on customers! The owner/manager is the best at thin, natural nails. Clean, relaxing place. Will return on a non-busy day. read more

This is the best salon I have found in the Yorktown area. I go to Jenny and always make an appointment in advance; not everyone here does acrylic. Most of the time she is on time, but occasionally I think she takes a walk-in too close to my appointment time and then I have to wait for as much as a half hour. The salon takes a lot of walk-ins and there seldom seems to be a wait. I have a few friends who are happy regulars at this salon, too. read more

My fave place to go for a perfect gel manicure and outstanding pedicure. The salon has a welcoming atmosphere, beautifully decorated, and always clean. The personnel is always accommodating for walkins, but an appointment ensures no waiting in case it is a busy day. Their services are professional, detailed and long lasting. Rose is especially great and thorough with manicures. read more

I don't have a problem paying to get a decent foot rub and pretty polish only toes but this place was a real disappointment. The lady that did my "spa" pedicure was elderly. She cut me when trimming the cuticles and I bled for about 15 minutes. The "massage" was non existent as was the foot exfoliation. The polish was slapped on and it smudged after an hour even though I sat under the light dryer for 15 minutes... What a monumental waste of time and money. :) never coming back. read more

What a wonderful place to have your nails done. My mother and I gave this place a try after being disappointed with so many other nail salons in the area. The team at Elite Nails is so friendly and welcoming. The facility is clean and very hygienic. And the best part is that our mani/pedis were beautiful! I recommend making an appointment because it's clear we aren't the only people who think this place is great. But what a large and beautifully decorated salon. No TVs here which is nice. More relaxing and social. My mother and I cannot wait to be back. I will definitely make my next appointment with Kim. She was fantastic!! read more

Very clean, newer equipment and polite staff. They do take walking but an appointment is helpful.

Consistent service. Clean. Friendly. Little to no smell of chemicals. Their massages with manis and pedis are the BEST EVER! Spa pedicures will give you LIFE. Make an appointment because they have tons of satisfied customers. read more

I came in on a Sunday around 4pm, the place was not super busy so I was able to pick my color and get in a chair fairly quickly. I came in for a pedicure, got the basic/standard option. This being my first time, I wanted to see how well my nail professional (Kim) could perform the basics first. To my pleasant surprise, Kim actually gave me a real pedicure. I recently had a series of poor pedicures, the end result would look okay, but the foundation of a good pedicure wasn't there, it pretty much felt like they clipped my nails, used a foot pumice, slapped the polish on and sent me out the door. Not at Elite Nails, Kim took her time-really payed attention to my over grown cuticles (no pain with removal), gave good shape to the nail and buffed them so they looked great BEFORE the polish was on... aka a real pedicure. Me being the indecisive individual that I am, at the end of my pedicure I decided to get a manicure as well. Kim was happy to oblige even with it being close to closing. She did a great job, the establishment was clean and well kept, the environment was quiet and calm (I don't even think a TV was on, great for relaxing -I loved their massage chairs) the ladies were nice enough, and I will be going back. To note: I chose OPI as my brand for my color and Kim let me know they charge an extra $3 for this brand. This was a first for me and may deter some. I've certainly paid less for a basic mani/pedi, however, with the choice of local nail shops I happen to have- the higher cost is something I am able to live with. read more

Always come out satisfied with my mani and pedi. The customer service is wonderful also. The only thing i don't like are how uncomfortable the pedi chairs are. The salon is well decorated and clean. Not too pricey either. read more

My gel manicure was "lumpy" and chipped in 3days. They work hard push extra more expensive services but their quality will is not worth the cost. Very pushy. Not friendly( talk to each other more than customers). They use a drill and act annoyed if they are rough and cause pain. Several other better salons on same street. And they seem mad if you tip on your card vs give cash. I understand the cc fee but if I am getting ANY tip, I would be more grateful! read more

I've gone back a few times and the salon has made changes to their layout. They have replaced their bar stool area with more regular tables. I've never got the same person when I go in but they have all done a great job. I love that I don't need an appointment and never have to wait. I do wish they offered more of a selection for gel polishes. read more

I have been going here for years. The staff is so kind and professional. They remember you, build a relationship with you, and are so friendly. My pedicures are always perfect and last so long! read more

I'm a former nail tech so I'm very particular about who does my nails. Walked in on a Sunday and was immediately sat at a station. Nails were prepped by a nice young lady and completed by Dua (sorry if I didn't spell your name right). He was very calm and took his time. Friendly, professional and personable staff. Updated, clean and calm environment. Not once did it hurt! He used precision during sculpting and drilling and it shows - My nails (gel with white tips - not shellac) look awesome! I'll be back for my fill. read more

Not worth the money. Pedicures have hidden cost, if you want calf massage etc.. Nail polish's have hidden cost. Not friendly. Can not do nail art. Going back to nail addict! read more

Been going to this salon for years. This last visit was enough to have me look elsewhere. The pedicure was great, but the atmosphere has been getting worse. The staff talk loud and speaks only their language. Makes you feel like they talk about their customers. The 5 staff would not stop chattering...it is no longer relaxing in that salon. They are rude to the customers. The two chairs next to me the staff was napping and had there ipad blasting Asian music. It gets worse every visit. I tip and pay for a relaxing visit and they need to respect their clients...I don't know if I'll go back! read more

If you are looking for a professional, clean nail salon, look no more! These folks are top notch with a personal flair that keeps me coming back. They are great with my 2 teenage daughters as well as my 86 year old mother-in-Law, who has special needs and they treat her with special care. I would recommend you have an appointment, but they do take wal-ins and have just expanded their salon so not a long wait. Go see them! read more

I have gone here for years now. I keep moving farther and farther away, but still make the drive! They are amazing! I have tried a lot of places closer to me... but no comparison. Spa Pedi's are the BEST and Gel nails last for AGES! Even though I have 4 little kids and do a lot of rough stuff with my hands. LOVE THEM! read more

I have been getting my nails done for over 25 years. This is the best salon I have experienced. Staff is courteous and knows their stuff. Range of different products and services. Powder/dip nails are the best! Love the pedicures!!!' Also waxing. I highly recommend and I always get compliments on my nails. read more

Have been looking for a good nail place for a while. Each place I've been has made me uncomfortable in some way but not this place. The tools were sealed and sanitized each time and no razor was used. Nice massage as part of it. Acrylics are thin and pretty. Both the pedicure and manicure look great! I would definitely recommend to others!!! read more

Unfortunately, I do not recommend this salon. I'm new to the area and tried it out because it got such great reviews on Yelp. My experience wasn't good. I called in advance for an appointment, but waited for about 45 min (so did 3 others who also made appts). Although the person who did my pedicure was very nice, the massage was lackluster and my toenails began chipping the following day. I had my pink & white gel nails removed and replaced with a full set, and the removal process was painful. Instead of soaking them, the nail tech used a nail tip to repeatedly push between the fake nail and my real nail bed. After she did a few like this, I asked if she could just soak them and she replied, "It takes too long -- I want to go home, too." At this point I should have left, but it was late and I didn't know where else to go. Within 5 days, I had fungus under one nail and two of my nails lifted. 7 days after my visit to Elite Nails, I tried Grafton Nails for help, with two of my nails completely missing, another lifted halfway up, and a fungal infection. I had no choice but to have the rest of the set removed and to just let my real nails recover. I also got another pedicure. It's been 2 weeks since I went to Elite Nails, and my nail beds are still splotchy & quite sore to the touch. To add insult to injury, a full set at Elite Nails is $15 more than Grafton Nails. I don't enjoy having to give such a poor review, but I would hate for someone else to have the same experience that I did. read more

Kim did such an amazing job. I walked in and waited for maybe 5 minutes. She took her time and they came out great! Definitely coming back!

I took my spoiled 8 YOA granddaughter in for a pedicure. The ladies are absolutely lovely, efficient and professional. The facility itself was very clean, the tools sterile and freshly packaged. Although I admit it is silly and indulgent to spend money on a child getting her toes painted the ladies didn't bat an eye. The princess was thrilled and there is no price on bonding with Nana and time spent together. read more

Exceptionally clean, bright and new-looking salon. Meticulous attention was paid to my pedi with an extended foot + leg massage and plenty of exfoliation of dry skin, all for just $25! It was like a deluxe pedi for regular $$$! Will definitely be making this my new mani & pedi spot. Drive-Thru Starbucks across the street plus a Walgreens close by. Take the back way to the mall, Yorktown RiverWalk shoppes or Oyster Point and you've got a great girls' day out. read more

Elite nails has been my nail and waxing salon since we moved here over 4yrs ago. As a military spouse, finding your "comfort zone" places after a move can be a challenge. Ms. Lee and and all the ladies and gents are absolute professionals...and just as sweet as can be. Even my husband loves to go with me for pedicures.
