I felt my anxiety from just the day to day hustle and bustle melt away. I felt so much emotional relief from "just doing" and I entered a state of calm and balance. The massage was everything that I needed. Update: as I've had 24 hours to come back to reality, I wanted to share a few additional thoughts. My locker wasn't personalized and this added touch definitely set Woodhouse apart since there are very little amenities here. Not having the personalization on my locker didn't take away from the 5* massage experience but it is memorable. I've had similar quality massages for half the price, so I wanted to add this to show that the added value wasn't any different than other spas. When I entered the quiet room in the beginning there was wine there with my name on it and I appreciated it. I think this is standard just as the locker personalization is the same. The questionnaire asked for sizing for robe/shoes and drink preferences. I got a robe and shoes that almost didn't fit. I tried to try on other robes but none gave the coverage. Luckily, I had on a slip jumper I could wear underneath my robe until I got to my massage room to take it off. After my massage, the quiet room was noisy. Returning to use bathroom and wash my hands the soap dispenser in the bathroom was near empty. Staff should be mindful that although it's close to closing customers are still in the building trying to get the last little bit of a relaxation and pleasant experience. Dropping this from a 5* to a 4 (respectfully).

It was such a lovely and personal touch. The true highlight, though, was my Lift & Firm Facial with Ann. Hands down the best facial I've had in many years! Ann was phenomenal--she had the perfect balance of professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness. She explained each step of the process without interrupting the calming atmosphere and used just the right amount of pressure during the face and shoulder massage portion (which was divine!). She took care to ask about any sensitivities and truly customized the experience to my needs. By the end of my service, I felt completely relaxed, rejuvenated, and honestly, I didn't want to leave the room--I could've taken a nap right there! I used to get the head spas every month when they opened for $70. Since the new owners took over they didn't let anyone know the head spa service is no longer available. I called many times to do a price check for the head spa after calling about 5 times (they wouldn't pick up) and someone quoted me $80. I thought that was strange since my last visit was 3 months ago. I tried to make an appointment but no one picked up so I went in person hoping they could take me. Drove 30 mins just to see the new owner have employees and was sitting by the phone but wouldn't pick up. I was told they no longer do head spas. Only body massage and hair cuts. It was so bad I actually said something. Emily ended up fixing it the next day because it was so bad. She did a better job, but it was still double the amount of time and trips to the salon than it was supposed to be. I gave them a second chance and wanted to try again. Everyone has an off day and I requested a different nail tech so I was hopeful it would go better. She assured me my fingers and toes would be the same color. They are not the same color (pictured). Which is really disappointing. But it happens I guess. What really gets me, and why I'm posting this is that every single time I went in I was charged a different amount depending on who was doing the service. Sometimes they charge you to remove your dip/gel? Even if you're getting new dip/gel put on. Sometimes they don't. This time I was charged $12 for my cuticles to be pushed back and cut with the nippers. Apparently that is NOT included in a dip manicure anymore? Neither was any kind of hand massage, or cuticle oil/care beyond them soaking them and nipping them. I have never been charged to have this done before today, it's always been included in a manicure! My basic pedicure and dip manicure (plus cuticle cut back?) was $99 today. When I got it last time it was $72. The time before that, it was $80. I'm sorry but that is shady business practice. Your price should not depend on the tech doing your service. Additionally their prices are NOT clear on the menu, or even always listed, so its very difficult to know what to expect to pay. Steer clear of this place!
