I had just came to Wilson, I was told this was a great place for nails. This is what I received the tech Vivian was nice and did try to do her best. I said I was coming back because it was a rush job. When I came back the lady at the desk told me that Vivian would have to be te one to correct my toes, after several tries she had to come and still job was not good. If there was an option for zero stars that is exactly what I would rate this terrible establishment. I called them before I went to the salon to make sure that they offered soak-offs and told them I would be there shortly. Once I made it in the salon, it was around 3:50 and I wasn't aware that they closed at 5. They placed me with an older lady and her attitude was terrible. She was tossing my hands around as if she didn't want to do her job, and proceeded to heat up the acetone until it was burning my skin. Her smart remarks took the cake once she told me "you should've came earlier" and this is when I got up, paid her for her terrible services and that is the last time that salon will see me. When I read the negative reviews about Diva Nail Spa, it was like I was reading about a totally different nail salon. I've been going to Diva Nails since 2018. I've never had a bad experience there. On the contrary, I've always received quality service and have found the staff to be friendly and attentive. I've been there when customers have shown up minutes before closing, asking for services that would require (at least) an hour for the staff to perform. Each time, the staff responded in a friendly manner and stayed way past their hours of operation so they could take care of these customers. Based on my experience there - and what I've observed from how they treat other customers - I give them five stars. read more

I am not one to give a bad review, because businesses have off days. This was probably by far the worst pedicure I have ever gotten. I walked in, there were several employees not working only 5 customers here. Asked for a regular pedicure and immediately he pulled out the grinder and began removing my nail polish. I said please do not do that, its regular polish. He said you want gel. I said no i do not. He said oh so sorry. Meanwhile my nails were already drilled. The actual pedicure lasted 8 minutes! I was never asked what kind of pedicure I would like. I was asked what color and could I have a design. He said no design for you. You have to get gel. Well I don't want gel, he said then you no can have design. He was so rough with my feet I asked for cut down, and he cut them all uneven no file no smoothing them out. The water in the tub smelled of rotten eggs. There was no massage, no lotions nothing you would get with a basic pedicure. I was only given a few options for colors. I now have blue polish all over my toes, some toes not fully painted. I could of washed my feet and had my 8 yrs old do a better job. For $40 it is not worth it at all! I've not given a bad review to any nail place. This place is horrible. Worst pedicure I've ever gotten. Lasted 10 minutes. Water was scalding hot and I kept asking for cooler water. He clipped my nails way short and then clipped the edges sideways. All of my nails are crooked. It almost feels like a joke. They look awful. Color is all over my feet and I'm so disappointed. The staff had us select our colors and asked us to go back to the pedicure work station. They asked what kind of pedicure we wanted. They were pleasant as we both selected the basic pedicure. I wouldn't recommend this nail salon to anyone. It's not the worst job I've ever had on my nails, but it's definitely not the best. The tech was so rough filing that I actually have an open wound on my index finger, my middle, thumb, and pinkies are different lengths to the point that it is obvious and the polish doesn't seem uniform throughout. Moreover, I have been getting my nails done for years now and I've never gone somewhere that didn't give you lotion afterwards. A very mediocre place that I wouldn't go to again. read more

I grew up having bad anxiety and for 20 years I bit my nails down for 3 years my nails are my pride and glory and I get compliments on how long and beautiful they are. I go and get my nails done here because my regular nail salon Deluxe foot spa with Nick I have gone there for 1 year and a half. I will post comparison on how beautiful they do nails. Well I took a leap of faith and went here and I cried all the way home. I couldn't even speak up because she cut all my nails off didn't ask how short I said just a little and she shortened them. She GLOPPED the gel polish on and it's so thick I can peel them off. I spent 30$ for such NASTY NAILS! all my hard work and money especially money GONE! I gave Diva Nail Spa 3 chances with my business! My first time attending was HORRENDOUS the shape of my acrylics weren't filed around the edges so they were extremely sharp! Then when I went to pay I was charged double the cost and then I was charged 2x for it! My car declined and instead of proffesiinally handling the situation they passed my card around to a guest in the building. This was not only embarrassing but idiotic on there side for overcharging me multiple times accusing me of not being able to afford the service. I was there an extra hour after my service bc of this. The second time I went it was only for a pedicure, I enjoyed it and the way I was treated was completely different from the first time. However, that's only bc I went with regular's. My most recent time I went was with my sisters but only bc we had gift vouchers. My service was alright, there was an issue with my color choice in the beginning, however, it was resolved. Although, she began to get agitated and made comments as if I wouldn't understand her and I didn't appreciate that. Business began to speed up and her service to me plummeted. She neglected my shape so some nails were rounder than others she didn't clean up the acrylic under my nails and her attention was no longer on making sure I was satisfied. Also, later on that day I hit my nail on the dresser and lost my entire fingernail I know gel doesn't make it full proof, however, I thought it'd last longer than one dresser hit. At one time, this was my favorite salon. They now charge an additional $5.00 for EVERYTHING. During a visit, to this salon, I had a pedicure, acrylic nail fill in, a nail repair, and a cut-down. I like to keep my nails at a medium length. The technician cut the first nail too short. Mind you I am already paying an additional $5.00 for the cut-down, and another $5.00 for the nail repair, in addition to the fill-in. When I told the technician she had cut the nail too short, she told me it would be an additional $5.00 for "long nails". I decided just to allow them to grow out rather than paying an additional $5.00 for her mistake. I came into the salon with my nail tips shaped in what they call "coffin". After the cut-down, the technician asked how I wanted my nails shaped. I told her I wanted them shaped the same as they were when I came in, "coffin". She told me it would cost an additional $5.00 to have the "coffin shape." My nails were so short, the coffin shape looked ridiculous. In addition to the basic cost of the services I had done, I paid an additional $15.00 for services that literally took a couple of minutes to do. My nails looked horrible and the pedicure was nothing to brag about as it felt rushed. I started going to another salon after my last experience. I needed to have my nails done prior to leaving for a Thanksgiving vacation. I did not realize my new salon is closed on Mondays, as are other salons. I drove to Diva Nails and they were open. Saved the day for me! Again, I was charged an additional $5.00 for the "coffin" shaped nails. I won't be going back. read more

So after checking out the all the other nail places in Wilson, I realized this place is actually the best, and gave it another try. I now know my first experience here was a fluke, and definitely not the norm. I have gotten acrylics done here probably about 10 times, as well biweekly pedicures and eyebrow waxing and have been 100% satisfied every time. My first experience with this salon years ago was not very good. However the salon has done a complete 360 including changing the appearance of the salon and they have also taken over part of where Froyo used to be located. The right side is all fingernail services and the left side of the salon is all pedicures and a small bar set up with your choice of wine or water (depending on what service you choose they will give you a menu to choose from). Finally a spot in Wilson that does SNS (dip powder) nails and has enough employees to take their time on your service!!!! This is now my fav salon in Wilson!!! After I was seated for my pedicure one technician came over and asked what kinds of pedicure I was getting then sent a young man over to do the pedicure. My polish looks like it was put on my a four year old. When they moved me to get my nails they seated me at 2 different stations before some one did my nails. I was able to be seen right away which was good. But the lady did an awful job on my nails. I got a full set with oval shape and my nails are all kinds of jacked up shapes. I walked in asking for a gel manicure with tips and had to switch people two different times and got yelled at for "saying the wrong service" which I knew I didn't. Boy couldn't speak a word of English. I had to tell him to put a liner in the foot bowl after he had already put the water in the bowl. Rushed pedicure, no lotion on my legs. Had to ask for nail polish colors, didn't use the right color. I tried to tell him it was wrong but he didn't bother to change the color. Rushed my manicure. Put a little lotion on my hand and asked if I wanted them painted. Started painting them, I asked if they had sink to wash my hand before putting the polish on. Had to tell him to put a top coat on toes and nails. Said my nails were dry went to my car put my seat belt on and looked at my nails and everyone was messed up so I walked right back in and ask him to fix them which was bad job. Worst pedicure ever. Polish clumps at the cuticles, the polish chipped and smeared almost immediately, and the small callouses on my pinky toes weren't even touched. Also, I didn't get the foot massage with my pedicure. I was with my sister and I watched her get a great pedicure with the foot massage from Quinn (sp?) while the guy who worked on me went and took a nap. Totally half-assed. Very disappointing. I should have known this place was bad from the moment I walked in. My fiance wanted to try out a pedicure because of how much I always say the leg massage part feels good (no color on his toes, of course) and I went for a pedicure as well. I was asked FOUR times before I sat down if I wanted a manicure as well - each time I said no, but they wouldn't take that answer. His lady turns on the massage chair for him. I'm clearly trying to find where the remote it, but my lady made no effort to help (it was never turned on). She then asked if I wanted the "deluxe for my heels." I'm sorry, it costs EXTRA just to scrub off dead skin? Every other place I've been to includes this in the basic pedicure. His pedicure (literally just cutting his nails and slapping on some lotion) was $25. What about that merits that cost? For wanting my heels scrubbed it was $30 (there were no prices posted when you walked in). Mind you, we were coming from out of town and completely appalled that a town in the middle of bumble fuck nowhere North Carolina would cost so much. I'm from a major city that might merit that cost at some salons... But even then, we have fantastic salons that charge $25.... for both a manicure AND pedicure! That's not the "best" part. My lady cut my cuticles so harshly that my toe started bleeding. And she didn't even bat an eye! The leg massage was barely 10 seconds a leg. I expect a lot more for that kind of money. The salons near me will even offer an iced tea for a much lower cost! Needless to say, we did not tip. The lady checking us out had a bit of an attitude when she realized it and they then ignored us when we walked out the door. I'm sorry but I'm not going tip someone who makes me bleed and doesn't even react to it and can't bother to help turn the chair on. I'm glad this was not a salon near me. I'VE HAD PRESS ONS AS AN ADOLESCENT THAT HAVE LASTED LONGEER THAN THEIR GELL FULL SET...This quality of work was beyond unacceptable, embarrassing, and a self-esteem blow. Came in with clean bare nails for a solar gel full set, and originally showed the tech a picture of desired look in which they ensured me they could do (American ombre); Upon starting the ombre process the tech wiped the gel off my nail 3 separate times, which at this point made me nervous so I changed my request to just clear gel; nothing more nothing less. This service was received was on the 1st... BY THE 5TH 3 of my nails had lifted up and chipped off from the area around cuticle BY THE 10TH all the gel and tips were gone [SIDE NOTE: my personal&work life requires LOW maintenance to being hard on my hands]. The gel and tip literally came right on off like a press on: and I can NOT make this up! LESSON LEARNED; that just because a facility looks nice, and may carry all the "new & trendy" products/services DOES NOT mean they know how to PROPERLY utilize it... So I came to this place after getting a pretty good, long lasting pedi here about a month ago. I was killing an hour before meeting my hubby at the movies and as soon as I walked in asked if there was a wait. The lady told me no and to pick out my colors. I was then seated and about 10 min later someone came and started my water. THIRTY MINUTES later I was STILL waiting and finally got someone's attention long enough to politely ask for a towel so I could leave to meet my husband. Of course at that point they started scrambling around like "You next...you next." I reminded the lady that I'd asked about a wait and that I didn't have time for service at this point even if they did start now. At that point I was only a little frustrated; however, I became LIVID when one of the men in the shop came and THREW THE TOWEL AT ME when I told them AGAIN that I couldn't stay or I'd be late meeting my husband. Not only was it rude, it was extremely embarrassing and uncalled for as I was completely polite about the whole thing. At this point i couldn't get out of there fast enough. I will NEVER go back to this establishment and wouldn't encourage anyone to go. It's all I can do not to stand outside the door and warn people as I sit at the Starbucks next door drinking my latte and writing this review. I have never been treated so rudely anywhere in my life. They work so fast it makes your nail paint job look very sloppy. The prices are really expensive, and the workers push you to get "add ons" for $5 extra each. They add up fast! This is my favorite salon to go to but it's not exactly down the street so I'll visit elsewhere in between sometimes. Most of the women are very good, give great massages, great nail art , etc. I despise the speaking in Vietnamese ABOUT customers, but when it's someone I have the gall to speak of in English, I can't blame them for their discussion in their native tongue. The older lady that does eyebrows more than most of the younger ones tends to be the only person anywhere that can keep me from breaking out, but one of the youngest here is a close second. The youngest looking girl gives the best manis and pedis. I've had everyone that works here. I don't like the guys, most places I don't mind it but I seriously think the older guy has a foot fetish (he despises manis and goes out of his way to check out random pedis), and the younger guy is asleep in a chair more than 50% of the time I see him here. The women will tend to fight over you but once you determine who your favorite is, your best bet is to wait for them, as a couple of the ladies here get quite jealous and competitive. (I think they say "hey they give good tips and high quality services so we already get a tip" and BAM bombarded with "I help you".
