Worst business! They mumbled on the phone and then yelled at me for asking a question a second time. After that they told me never call again. All I wanted to know is where there are located. What a way to get business and speak to people! read more

Lock works well, install is perfect. In terms of timing Elite came to apartment towards the tail end of their established two hour window appointment and completed the job in about three hours. Compared to other bidders they were very responsive and accommodating Pricing was professional and transparent I would hire again. read more

Fast, professional, and top notch service. We are glad we trusted fellow yelpers in finding Elite Locksmith. At a cold breezy afternoon, our clinic's door will not close. They came to our clinic soon after we called, checked the lock, evaluated the problem, started to work in outdoor weather in the 30s. You can sense the confidence when someone knows what they are doing, later on, we found out the guy has been working in the industry for 20 years. After hours of work and perfection, the door was back to work, better than before. No noise from the slam, lock works perfect, neat finish. BTW, his name is Ben, great guy, I would highly recommend him to anyone residential or commercial! Update 3/30/2015 Ben came by today, follow up with a minor problem, he helped adjust speed of closing the door. Very responsible customer service. read more

Elite Locksmith - Wish I have a before and after picture, very satisfying work done by Elite. - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me

I apparently have an obscure (and expensive) door key. So obscure that Elite Locksmith is the only place I've found that can make me a spare. Beyond keys and an impressive selection of unattractive key rings, they sell locks, gates, and alarm systems. The service is a bit indifferent, but hey. If you have an obscure me like mine, it's the place to go. read more

Okay so I have 3 stars because of the service. It was quick and reliable. I was communicating with the service worker, Mike, who was very nice. The lock looks great and very secure. However, VERY pricey. The total was $554.00. I understand that the door had to be drilled so that the new lock can fit and the lock is of good quality. The quote came in at $495 when he got there and then there was the $59 service charge I didn't know about. So yes the response time was quick and reliable BUT there is a hefty price to pay. The only reason why I said yes was because my tenant took time out of her work day to be there and I didn't want her to keep going back and forth for different quotes. read more

Ben was super helpful and even though I had no control card to copy my key from, he was very accommodating and directed me to their other location on the UWS, giving me the time and location and contact people to reach. He also talked to them beforehand and once I got there they had expected me to visit and understood what I needed. Even though the UWS location was not close to the Kips Bay location I originally wanted, the other locksmiths I called on the weekends didn't have the machinery to make the copies and/or were not fully open on Saturday. The prices were really decent ($10 a key for the MulTLock) plus tax, and I made 2 copies in under 5 minutes. Thank you! read more

Fantastic little shop. Great down-to-earth guys work here. Sense of humor. They are quick, affordable and answered all my questions. If they couldn't make a key, they knew where to send you to get one made. I've been here for keys twice now and recommend to my friends. Quick, easy, affordable, convenient, knowledgeable. Ben was very helpful when another locksmith couldn't get the job done. Swung by our office to see what the problem was and advised on what to do next. The lock/key was fixed in just a couple days for a lock/key that was trickier than normal. Great communication too. Would def recommend. read more

I didn't realize it was cash only for inside jobs. So good thing I had cash on me. Service was nice and quick. They have a Locksmith Cat, Panther, who is super sweet. He's as much of a reason to go here as the good service & product! ** Murray hill location** read more

Felt like get scammed. They actually sent a guy from another company instead of Elite Locksmith to open your door. You paid ridiculously high fee to feed two companies. Don't call them to open your door. I was locked out of my apartment. Called them to ask if they could send a staff to open the lock. The lady on the phone told me the total cost started from $60+, I agreed to the price since it was pretty reasonable. Then a young man who could barely speak English showed up. He told us the service fee was $59, plus drilling the lock cost another $99. I had to agree to it because it was really late at night, I couldn't find another locksmith. After he drilled the lock, I asked why he didn't replace the lock, he then told me it cost $85 to replace the lock. So, in the end, it cost me $240 to open the door and got a new lock!! The receipt he gave me said he was from "Omega Lock & Security" that located at 1562 3rd Ave (between 87 & 88 street). read more

I broke my car key fob. The key was in great condition so I just bought the key fob on Amazon which came with a key. I just needed to switch the keys but didn't have the right tools. I called Elite Locksmith to see if they can do it and sure enough they did it fast and easy. Very happy with the service and price. read more

I locked myself out and researched several locksmiths in my area. I was impressed by Elite's reviews and website. The reviews were great and the website pointed out typical locksmith scams to look out for. I decided on Elite and my decision was right! They gave me a reasonable estimate and came very quickly. Ben was so obviously experienced and beyond professional. He came within 30 minutes, the bill was reasonable and Ben was a pleasure to work with. I will be recommending him to everyone I know, and putting him on several Coop Building Manager's vendor lists (I work in construction). I have to say, this has been one of my most successful experiences with repairs. Everything went perfectly. read more

Called them on a Monday at 10:00 am and they fit me in that same day for 2:00 pm. Showed up early, changed the locks really quick and gave me a discount and two extra keys. We used Elite Locksmith for our son's new apartment. Moved him in on a Saturday and called to have the top lock changed. Elite answered quickly and dispatched a locksmith from their team within the hour! Locksmith was extremely professional, knowledgeable and had the lock needed on the truck. The installation and entire job was literally done in 15 minutes ! Could not be happier. Total cost for job including lock was "reasonable" considering it's a) New York City b) Saturday c) about as on demand as you can get d) professional service Very happy and would absolutely use Elite again. Just wanted to share our experience since other Yelp reviews help me to find them to start with. read more

Seriously great customer service and reasonably priced. I really appreciated Ben's kindness and respectfulness when he came to open the door to my apartment after I locked myself out. When I called Elite Locksmith I really needed some clarity about what kind of a price range I could expect to have to pay and whereas other businesses told me it could be between $30 and $300 (a fairly WIDE range), Ben asked me a few questions about the type of lock and door I had, and gave me a straight answer that I felt like I could trust. Then he arrived in 25 minutes and quickly and surely opened the door. I had been locked out for over 24 hours before I turned to a professional service and I was just so thankful for his skill and professionalism. It was a rough day that ended in triumph because of this business!! Thanks so much, Ben. read more
