Wonderful place! Highly recommended! Clean, well organized shop that has a doorbell at the top of the staircase (sidewalk level) for folks who cannot walk down the stairs. I was greeted respectfully by Donovan who quickly assessed the key I needed to duplicate and found that he had the base key material in stock. He quoted me an incredibly fair price (I had just come from Staples which I love but their key kiosk didn't have the key in stock and was over double the price to make/deliver). Donovan expertly duplicated 5 keys in a short amount of time all which subsequently worked. So grateful this place exists and will highly recommend! read more

Have had multiple sets of keys copied here. Fast and accurate! No complaints. Good service.

By far. THE BEST LOCKSMITH out there! They have copied apartment keys for me. Mailbox keys for me. FIXED a bad key by cutting a new one properly. And even did a specialty Mercedes Sprinter key for me. They don't just cut the keys. They understand the characteristics of the key to make sure it works right. Whatever they charge it could be double for all I care. Because I know every single time it's going to be perfect! Don't go anywhere else. Get it done right the first time. read more

I found Sky Locksmith on Yelp for a multi-lock key duplication and just a simple key replication. Eli duplicated the mult-lock keys no problem. My simple key duplication..problem, the key required a special machine he did not have and called another location to see if they had the machine no luck. Eli gave two scenarios send someone over to my house to change the lock for $$$ or I just change the cylinder which I would have to order, etc.etc. Eli actually had a spare cylinder that he gave me for free. I am so appreciative because he did not have to do that all and I thought was genuine and extremely kind. If I ever have to go back for key issues or new locks I will come back here, I strongly recommend read more

I locked myself out of the apartment & had no spare key available. Service was quick & efficient. What a relief. Moiche was the person who did a good lock replacement. read more

Sky Locksmith was so quick and professional. The locksmith followed the originally quoted $245 to change my lock. He was very kind and did a great job. I highly recommend their services. read more

Needed two copies of my Medeco key made; I had already gone to a local hardware store, and walked away twice with bad duplications (a total of 4 keys, none worked). Came here and Donovan made 2 perfect copies for like $8 each, on the first try. Amazing! Will definitely comeback for any keys I need duplicated read more

Awesome, called them up, emailed pictures of my issues and they came out right away. Pricing was fair I felt. Though I didn't shop around, I needed a working lock read more

When I called I was quoted very high costs for re-keying locks but was told when the locksmith came it might be less depending on the lock. The guy showed up the next day but all he did was impatiently look at the locks and said I'd be sent an estimate by someone else. The estimate was sent ~4 hours later and it was very expensive at more than 4x what I ended up paying another locksmith. The guy on the phone was polite but their rates are nearly insulting and I didn't like them sending a guy that couldn't do the work when they arrived. Not sure what the value is they're offering. read more

A small but well-equipped store on the UWS. I needed Ook hooks to hang a mirror, and wanted a silver wipe for a tarnished necklace. Both were in stock, and I was surprised by the variety of metal polishes. The man who helped me was very friendly. Great experience. Would definitely call them if I needed a locksmith. Yelp says they're closed on Sunday, but they were open :) read more

Solid locksmith in a very convenient location! Have come here a few times to get keys copied and it was super quick and very reasonably priced. The guys working there were also so friendly and hilarious. Definitely recommend on the UWS! read more

I was in need of making a copy of a Mul-T-Lock key (I have the card) on a Sunday in NYC. After going to two places that showed as "open" on Yelp and Google, it turns out they were closed. My last place was Sky Locksmith... it should have been my first place! I walked in a super nice guy looked at the card, explained to me the different options of keys he could copy, quoted me a decent price, and made the copies in less than a minute. Great service! read more

Called for locks change, service was fast and profesional price was fair and not expensive. Thank you guys.

I had the same bad experience as JK. My wife and I went to the store, were treated rudely, and the manager said that the locksmith would come to our apartment in an hour or two. He never showed up and never called. Not polite, not reliable. read more

I've called to make an appointment three times now. Just wanted my tumbler changed. Three times I spoke to same person who had no idea had spoken to me before. Three times I was told the service guy would call me. I've given up and called someone else who came right over. read more

I highly recommend Sky Locksmith! Eli was fantastic! He came to fix a tough lock and immediately saw what was wrong and fixed it so quickly with a smile on his face. My other lock was also having issues, which wasn't part of the job, and when I casually asked about it after he was done with the first, he happily diagnosed the issue and fixed it again so quickly. He was super professional and you can tell he definitely knows what he's doing. A real pro! read more

sky locksmiths are my heroes!!! I just came in from walking my 4 dogs in the pouring rain and when I tried opening my door, the cylinder rotated the key got stuck and I was locked out. I called sky and the wonderful man who answered decided we should FaceTime. He gave me the simplest easy to follow instructions and stayed with me on the phone until my door was open. How kind and generous to do all of that on a Saturday after hours!!! He really saved the day!!!! read more

Eli just came and did the job in less than 5 minutes. Last night, I requested a direct quote from 11 locksmiths through Yelp and he was one of the few that replied to me within 5 minutes. He was extremely kind and direct in his response. I told him that my brother had just lost his keys and believed it could have been stolen because he thinks he left it in the door when he brought his groceries in. I told him I wanted to wait for morning to call my Managment office and security office one more time to see if anyone dropped the lost keys off. Instead of Eli trying to convince me to use his company and throwing prices as me, he was actually empathetic with me and said he hopes that I am able to locate them. The other locksmiths kept throwing prices at me and didn't really care about my situation. Eli cared. Which is why I chose to go with Eli because he had genuinely rather have me find my keys then for me to use his company for the locksmith job. This morning, there was no luck with management or security so I emailed Eli right away via yelp and he replied promptly. I asked if 7pm tonight was okay and he said it was perfect. He was able to get here early and change my lock (with a pair of new keys) within 5 minutes. He was also the CHEAPEST out of all 11 locksmiths that i requested a quote from. He was able to work with me financially so that I felt good about calling his company for this job. Choose Eli and his company, not just for the price but because he's actually human and cares! Thank you Eli!!!!!!!!!! read more

They were absolutely amazing! I was locked out of my apartment on a Saturday at 5;30. The owner went above and beyond to help me get it fixed and into my apartment in no time! I have a tendency to lock myself out of my apartment quite often along with my car and everything else. So next time I lock myself out, which I'm sure will be soon, I will definitely be calling Sky Locksmith! Thanks! read more

Highly recommend: professional, courteous, and they take the extra time to smooth your key...AND they offered me a free mask (I had accidentally left home without one). Thank you so much for the positive experience, sky locksmith! Unlike another locksmith on the upper West side, sky locksmith DOES have a return policy and you can see the hands of the key cutter while they work. There is Nothing shady going on at Sky Locksmith. They may be a little bit more expensive and a little bit out of your way... But worth it to not get scammed! read more

Sky Locksmith is great! I was locked out of my apartment one evening with no spare keys to get in. After calling my landlord and a number of locksmiths, it was clear that Sky was the best! They were not only the most responsive and kind, but they were the most honest and straight-forward, with no hidden fees. Other locksmiths promised low prices, but after prodding a bit, they revealed that once they showed up, they could increase the price by hundred(s) of dollars. Sky locksmith had the best price and (after getting information and viewing my photos), they promised no changes upon arrival. They were prompt--my locksmith showed up quickly and had me back inside my apartment in under an hour. I hope to never be locked out again, but if I am, I'd call Sky Locksmith in a heartbeat! read more

I would use them again. Took their recommendation for a Smart Lock (Yale) They warned that they didn't have it in stock but I purchased it through Amazon. It arrived next day and Sky installed it. Cordial, efficient service. read more

Visiting from out of town and went with my mother to help her with a return. The guys were so incredibly gracious and patient with her, even crediting her towards an exchange when they didn't need to. They were gregarious and funny and went out of their way to accommodate the needs of an older customer. Highly recommended. read more

I needed some repairs on my apartment door locks so I turned to Yelp and read some of the positive reviews for Sky Locksmith. I called for an appointment and was given one for the same day. I really can't say enough good things about the experience. The technician who came to do the repairs was punctual, professional and courteous, and he did excellent work for a very reasonable price. I recommend Sky Locksmith very highly. read more

Wonderful and friendly service! I had keys made and while I waited he offered me a seat on a clean large container. When I got home all 5 of the keys he made worked! Thank you! read more

I have two hardware stores within one block, and SKY is the superior choice--customer service from an incredible staff that aims to please. Welcome them to the neighborhood and happy shopping. Beacon is the alternative option that's overpriced, and the staff lacks the neighborhood-friendly vibe that you come to expect with our local businesses. read more

Great service and on time and not a rip off. Very friendly and Professional service, finally we have a locksmith here in the lower West 80's that wants to keep his doors open and not rip you off everybody who walks in the door... welcome to the neighborhood on the upper West side I strongly recommend this Locksmith. read more

I came home from a weekend away only to realize I was locked out of my apartment. Eli at Sky Locksmith arrived at my building under the 20 min turnaround time he provided. He was quick and professional! I would highly recommend. read more

Quick and responsive on Yelp! Friendly and quick service on line and in person. They were so quick! You can walk to the closest CVS to wait if you want to or wait on their bench outside and see people pass by. Also have good small home improvements area that are not overpriced at all. read more

Responsive and timely. They know their work. Reasonable. Trip charge was not notified in advance. Would be perfect if details and options to allow customer with low knowledge to choose most suitable option. Overall, efficient enough. read more

Had to get some last-minute copies of my keys made and I was in and out in under two minutes. Keys were cheap and best part is they fit the locks perfectly (I've had key copies made at other places that don't work!!) read more

After reading the reviews I figured I'd get my keys made here. The staff was very friendly and helpful I love that they give you a key tag great business branding. It's so many hardware shops you can get lost in the shuffle. But I'm definitely a permanent customer now! read more

Came into the store with a lock from my classroom closet that stopped functioning. Eli took a look at it, but was initially unsure if it was fixable. He recommended an alternative at a great price which worked great. As I was leaving, he told me to come back the following day to see if he was able to do anything with the broken lock. When I came back, he had it perfectly fixed at no cost. Definitely come here first for any locksmith or hardware needs you have! read more

Amazing job! They did it the same night & unlocked my bedroom lock in like 5 seconds. They also honored my Yelp voucher offer (even though it wasn't loading properly) and were super friendly! HIGHLY recommend! read more

I am using Eli and Sky locksmith services both on the east side and the west side, Eli is the kind of a fresh a young business owner with high awareness to service. Eli truly cares about every customer and I have used him multiple times and every time I felt like he is getting out of his way to make sure I am happy. Great store, great staff, great service, great work. read more

Don't use them to change your watch battery, they over charge, and they only tell you the final price after they already changed the battery. They told me my watch happened to use the "expensive" battery. I know for a fact that is not true from changing the battery previously. Go to a real jeweler. read more

I just moved to the area and had trouble installing a new shower head. We changed locks on a new apartment and worked with Roi. He was great. Super knowledgeable about locks, explained everything, so we could pick the best replacement. He even spotted a fire code violation from the previous owners (unsafe lock on a door) and not only corrected it, but fixed the loose mechanism in the door knob.. He was on time, thorough, and left everything as clean as he found it. Would use Sky and Roi again without question. read more
