The absolute nicest with the locks since 'Kiss, Styles, and Sheek. Or maybe Barney Greengrass? They are fast, friendly, and extremely helpful. They operate (or duplicate, as the case may be) quickly and do great work for a fair price. Not that you probably want to be a regular at the locksmith, but if you were, you'd want it to be here. read more

Another Locksmith had told me I had to spend $1800 for a brand new lock, door knob, etc. Sky Locksmith came up fixed it in 10 minutes said I did not need to replace anything. Very honest business.. I highly recommend it. read more

Did a good job copying a high security key. I found it creepy that they somehow obtained my email and added me to their mailing list.

We were locked inside our house because the door bolt jammed, and Eli from Sky Locksmith came to the rescue! He arrived in about 25 minutes, even though it was after hours (around 6:45 PM). Eli was courteous, professional, and friendly the entire time. Our daughter, who is autistic, kept trying to "help," but he handled it with such patience and kindness. He replaced the door bolt perfectly! The price was very reasonable, especially for an after-hours call. We'll definitely use again, and recommend Eli and Sky Locksmith to anyone! read more

so easy! as soon as I walked in the employee there was available and duplicated keys for me in a literal minute. he was nice and answered my questions, and called another location to get something in stock I needed. the store is clean and they have a ton of keychains and locks etc. read more

10/10, I was locked out of my UES apartment and Sky locksmith was able to help me get back in within a half hour. Thank you SO much, I will be recommending for my neighbors and returning for any lock outs / key replacements I need. read more

Great key copy store! Small but paced with supplies. Nice person behind counter. Recommend!!

Very affordable to get a new Junior key. The owner also answered the phone before the store opened. Went back today for another key but sadly was closed on Sundays. They will still be my go-to spot in UES. read more

Replaced my dinosaur deadbolt in no time at all. Professional and friendly! Called to give a heads up he's arriving soon and even tidied up the debris left over from drilling. I appreciated this a lot! The new lock is gorgeous, thank you Jonathan! read more

My doorknob fell off in my hand this morning. Eli from Sky was downtown but had his assistant come up and take a look and some pictures. Eli advised me to hunt down my landlord to address the problem, as my doorknob is a very old model, very expensive to replace. I really appreciate his honesty and advice! All is well! read more

It wasn't cheap but they duplicated my keys in under 20 minutes! I've had keys made that didn't work properly and needed to go back to have them re-cut, but Sky Locksmith did a great job on the first try and all the sets they made worked perfectly. They also have some hardware stuff for sale so if you need that kind of thing, they might have what you need! read more

I had a 40+ year old, German, non-working balcony door lock that I needed to get working quickly. After looking at it, building maintenance couldn't fix it, so I checked the reviews, called Sky and I'm very happy I did. They came out the next day (Friday) took the lock back to the shop, ordered the necessary part & had it working, reinstalled & looking better than it had in years by Monday. Everyone I spoke to was knowledgeable, honest & communicative throughout the process as well. While nothing is cheap in the world of locksmiths, the price I paid was less than I was afraid of and given the quality of the work, the speed of the service and the clarity of communication I could not have asked for more. I know where I will go from now on if I have any lock issues. Thanks! read more

My partner and I were locked out of our apartment late at night, and Sky Locksmith came to our rescue. The technician arrived promptly and was so professional and kind. He not only got us back inside but also reassured us about our home's security. Their exceptional service turned a stressful situation into a positive experience. Great job! read more

A craftsman who takes pride in his work. Eli the owner is awesome. It's rare to see someone these days who is skillful and patient. The key cylinder on my microwave-sized safe was stuck and with my own eyes I saw him and his years of experience wrestle with figuring out what was wrong - it wasn't obvious. Thankfully it was a slower morning and he could afford the time. With my permission, he disassembled the entire cylinder down to the pins and put it back together. He saved me a lot of stress and headaches trying to find a replacement. A true hardware hero! read more

Been here a few times and the workers seem like they can't be bothered. I have come here to get a quote on installing a lock and have had keys made with attitude on multiple occasions. Too bad, we really need reliable and friendly locksmiths in the community. If you take a look at my other reviews they are mostly 4 stars. It was hard to give this business 2 stars. My keys don't even work. read more

I had a very quick and easy visit when I needed to make copies of my keys. They were helpful and the price was good.

Sky locksmith SAVED ME on a Friday night. These guys are not only professional, but also so kind and human and helpful. I seriously cannot thank you guys enough for literally making the exception for someone in need WELL beyond your closing hours. As someone who has probably locked themselves out more than anyone in NYC and consequently had to deal with many locksmiths that overcharged and took advantage of sheer desperation--I can confidently say this establishment is the exception and deserves all the business in the world. I recommend this place to anyone stuck in a bind. Thank you so much--I am SO grateful. read more

Sky Locksmith - A small, reasonably priced miracle - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - New York, New York

10/10 amazing service and pricing. I made the decision to transition all locksmith services for my company over to Sky Locksmith and I feel this is the best decision I've made. Brandon is who I've had the pleasure of working with majority of the time and he just makes my life so much easier especially when I'm juggling issues for multiple buildings. Their techs work quickly and efficiently and give me a run down of what was done what needed to be done etc. I know it sounds like the bare minimum but clear communication is something that is crucial in my line of work and they have not let me down. read more

They were very patient and explained my options including a couple that would save 100's of dollars over other locksmiths. They were professional and on time and ensured my smart lock was fully working prior to considering the job done. I would not hesitate to use them again read more

We wanted to change locks earlier this week before moving into our new place. We reached out on Wednesday expecting to set up an appointment for later in the week since it wasn't an emergency. To our surprise, they were able to accommodate us the same day. Ethan arrived within an hour with all necessary tools and locks, wearing a mask and appropriately keeping his distance. He was prompt to get to work, changing the front door locks and the mailbox lock within 30 minutes. Overall, excellent customer service. 5 stars; would use again. read more

They picked up immediately when I called, told me it would be 20 minutes for a locksmith to arrive and the locksmith arrived exactly 20 minutes later. He promptly helped with the lock on the door. Five stars for quickness, efficiency and effectiveness. read more

I was desperate to get my door lock fixed. Every locksmith that came, had no clue how to fix. Eli from Sky happened to park in front of my house and rang the bell to ask if he was ok parked there. I asked him to look at my lock. He took it all apart and put in some new parts adjusting until it worked. I was flipped. He was so quick, knew what he was doing. I was in the right place at the right time - since he rang my bell. Thank you Eli. Great attitude and best job. Thanks Eileen read more

Incredible service! I got there right after they closed and the man opened the store back up for me and quickly made me a key copy. It really saved me in an emergency and was a great price. So thankful for them and their employees! read more

I use this locksmith from time to time when I need keys or small hardware and am always pleased. Today I stopped in because my dog's collar ripped and I bought her a new one with a new tag. But I couldn't get the flimsy tag onto the thick collar. The owner (I think) helped me with it, got the tag on, made sure it was facing the right way, made sure it was completely secure and wouldn't accept any money. A true neighborhood place. Never going anywhere else. read more

Speedy and service. Used wrong key blanks but fixed the situation overnight with a great attitude. Would come back again.

needed several full sets of key. Efficient , pleasant, and effective -- all keys worked perfectly. Well done. will always return here

My toilet broke! Yes, my supercharged exciting life came to an abrupt halt because my toilet wasn't working. It needed a new plug thingy. Home Depot I'm sure has everything I'm looking for but I wanted to avoid the $20 cab rides. I was actually up in the 90's running some errands and checked out a hardware store up there. They had about a dozen of these plug things but none of them looked like what I needed. Oh, well. On my way home, I decided to check this literal "hole in the wall". I'll be damned! They had what I was looking for and for a few bucks cheaper than what I even saw online! (Yes, I was researching toilet plugs online. Exciting stuff) This place may be small but its packed to the ceiling with those little things that we need from time to time to get on with our lives. They have an assortment of cleaning supplies I need to check out, to get my housekeeper stocked up. I'm going through those wet swifter things like a crackhead. read more

Sky Locksmith - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - New York, New York

Best locksmith!! I go by here all of the time for things, especially to get my keys made. Always reasonable and helpful.

Excellent and expedient service. Called Sky Locksmith on a Sunday for an emergency door hinge repair after I accidentally pulled the bottom hinge out of the wall a tiny bit, preventing it from closing into the doorframe properly. Obad (Obed?) came at 9am the very next day to check what needed to be done. This particular door is one of those heavy duty 5-screw hinged doors, so he needed to order a new hinge specially, which he said could take anywhere from 1-2 days or longer. Obad came back ON THE SAME DAY just 4 hours later with a bunch of different hinges to try. 1 hour later, the door was good as new! He even helped fix the sticky lock. 12/10 would use Sky Locksmith again. read more

Very professional. Did the work expertly, called ahead of arriving, and made great value saving recommendations. Would definitely recommend and use again. read more

The best locksmith in town. They also have almost any supplies you need! Sky has always met my needs.

We hired Sky to change the locks on our front door, add additional locks to a basement door, make copies of keys, and make additional electronic key fobs. Everything turned out perfectly and they were so easy to work with. The locksmith was on time for our appointment, gave us excellent advice on security for our home, and we couldn't be happier with the results of their work. Highly recommend. read more

Needed new locks installed for my home. I called them and they sent Roi. He arrived on time and installed the locks in the blink of an eye. The service was excellent. I recommend them 10/10 times. read more

I am responding to Eli's response to my original complaint. It is now 2 months since I posted my bad review. The new 9V battery I purchased elsewhere is working just fine, so there is clearly nothing wrong with my smoke alarm. I also wish to say that I asked for a refund OR a new battery, neither which was forthcoming. The clerk was just plain rude. My poor rating stands, and Eli's ingenuous response is unacceptable. read more
