I love this place. Found a person through yelp, he came and quoted me for $1500. And my doorman referral Aero, I end up paying $150! Really recommend this place ! read more

Had a home safe that was not working - was afraid I'd never see my stuff again. Nick was fabulous - got it open, saved the day! Nick and Mike were a pleasure to deal with. Prices are much better than other area locksmiths. Can't recommend them highly enough. read more

Great place to have keys made! Able to copy General Motors keys from 1977 without a hint of difficulty. Ignition Keys and Door Lock Keys.

Great locksmith service! Staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Would definitely go back!

Excellent service by Mike and company! Reasonable prices for a New York City locksmith.

Best locksmith in the area, open early, consistent knowledgeable veterans in the trade. Fair and good prices. Thank you Mike! read more

I needed front door and apartment keys cut for my new place. The guy who cut my keys was super chill and even matched the colors of the originals so I wouldn't have to fuss around and figure out which key did what. That, and the fact that I was in and out in less than five minutes is worth the five stars. read more

Asked the gentleman to cut to Medico keys. He proceeded to do so. After three trips between my home and the locksmith, I gave up. The two keys he cut never got close to unlocking my front door. After the 3rd attempt, he insinuated that it was not possible without the "card" for the key. By this point I had enough. Return to the store for a 4th time? No. Ask for a refund? To go through the headache and hassle and possible argument? No thank you. 1 star for effort. 2nd star for not being rude. read more

I was in a major bind and my building arranged for Aero to come fix my lock. Mike called me very promptly and the next thing I knew, Nick was at my door. He was fast, personable, and professional. He clearly takes pride in his work and knows his craft. I am so glad I found these guys as the service they provided was above and beyond. Thank you! read more

Needed both my apt door locks changed in a hurry. Called Aero and they said they could be there in 2 hours (and that's because I needed time to get home lol). Nick was informative, efficient, personable, and pretty much just awesome and knew what he was doing. 0 issues. Tell me how swapping BOTH locks, one a high-security deadbolt, came out to under $200. Absolutely the best pricing out of all the other locksmiths I reached out to by a LANDSLIDE. And now I know exactly where I can go to get additional keys made for the high-security lock, cause lemme tell you, it was a hassle for my last one. Definitely bookmarking these guys for the future. read more

We moved into a new Manhattan apartment and building management recommended Aero. An excellent recommendation. Mike answered all my questions, and Steve showed up on time, had to deal with a difficult retrofit, and everything went smoothly. Very fair pricing too! Use this company! read more

Mike (who took my call) and his teammate Steve who helped replace my lock were very responsive, polite and helpful. Absolutely grateful that they were able to get my issue resolved swiftly and on the same day. I'm really glad to be in such capable hands and have them in our neighborhood. Also loved that they came as prepared as possible. After Steve swiftly replaced my cylinder he handed me four copies of the key they already had prepared beforehand. Appreciated them thinking ahead for their customer. read more

I could tell right away, on the phone, that these guys were solid, professional, good people. (In the same way, way that I could tell Artie's was in business to make some quick money.) They offered prices right up front ($125 standard cylinder, $140 high-security, $190 even higher security) and sent someone who got here within a half an hour. The technician was awesome, and I trusted him right away. he explained each thing that he was doing. He discovered stripped screw threads in the lock (I had done this when I installed the previous cylinder). He said a new lock would be alot $, so he used a threading machine to re-do the threads. He put in a new high-security cylinder, and I asked him to put new doorknobs, and to put a security bar on the doorframe to finish it off. I couldn't believe all the hardware, installation and education I received for $220, so I insisted on giving him a tip. I recommend Aero Locksmith in all respects! read more

Aero Locksmith - My new safe door-30 min, $220 total! - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - New York, New York

Amazing job. Found them on Yelp, gave them a call, got there in 5 minutes and was out in 10 minutes with a key I needed ASAP

Aero Locksmith now at 221 EAST 83RD STREET after 40 years on East 86th Street, are the absolute best. After being locked out of my home and being charged an exorbitant price by a pirate locksmith to get me into my apartment, Aero Locksmith came to the rescue. They repaired the damage to the door made by the pirate locksmith and installed a Medeco lock on my apartment door. Aero provided me with information for their reputable emergency service. I highly recommend Aero Locksmith. read more

Locksmiths are so vital to the community and the highs and lows of life. Most of the time you need a locksmith when it's urgent maybe to celebrate a new place or you are in despair because you got locked out or are changing the locks after a breakup. These guys are the friendliest and the best in the neighborhood. After my apartment was flooded after Ida, I moved to a different apartment and needed a new lock installed. My building had Nick come over to install for me. He was quick at installing the new lock and also hammered an existing door panel back into place so my door closed more smoothly. I was so happy with the service and also the positive attitude. It helped so much during a difficult time and gave me one less thing to worry about. I also went into the shop to have difficult keys copied and Mike helped me out. Also super friendly. I had keys copied at another locksmith that didn't work even with a jiggle, and was so happy that Aero got it right the first time. Go here next time you need keys copied or a lock change. They really are a great business! Thanks for adding positive vibes the the hood. read more

I had a top lock installed by Nick this weekend. He was on time and has over 40 years of experience. He told me he works for the owner who has been in business for over 40 years. The price was also the best on the update East Side. I highly recommend Aero and Nick. read more

From beginning to end, excellent and professional communication and workmanship. Recommend most highly.

Great people, quick work, great prices! I have several keys copied here and it's been a great experience every time.

I only leave reviews when I am really impressed by somewhere and I wanted to leave a good rating for this place because they provided me with exceptional service. Mike got me sorted with a quote over the phone and the locksmith Nick came in an hour and a half, he was in and out of my apt in 15 minutes. Both were extremely personable and professional and the job was done well while being way cheaper than their competitors. Honest workers, go with them if you need a locksmith. read more

So happy I called these guys. They came to my apartment within an hour even though it was not even urgent and fixed my wobbly lock in 10 minutes. Decent people and not a rip off like most other places. Thank you! read more

Excellent service and great reasonable price!! They do what they say and sell good quality but less expensive locks. Steve and Nick at Aero are reliable! Highly recommend FYI, I called another one, Volt locksmith, in the neighborhood. They quoted 3 times the price Aero charges for the same quality of locks. After I said it is too expensive, they dropped the price, but still 2 times of what Aero quoted. read more

Mike and company are real professionals. To the point and knowledgeable. Always fast and polite service. Highly recommended.

I had to get 2 keys made for 2 different locks., As it turns out both keys had some unique qualities that made it a challenge to duplicate. They explained why these keys were do unique and having gone there many time over the years without problems, I accepted their explanation. When I got home neither key worked. I went back the following week and had the one lock with me. The other key was to a door so I could not bring it. Without hesitation the tech went to work on the keys and had to do some grinding to get the lock key to work, flawlessly. He re-cut the other key and told me to try again. He didn't charge for the re-cut keys. When I got home the other key worked without any issue. I appreciate that they took on the challenge of these keys knowing that they might have to recut the keys. I am glad that they stood behind their work. Real straight up guys. read more

These guys are the best. They are friendly make you feel at home when you come into their shop. I have worked in the neighborhood for over 35 years and been dealing with them for what ever key or lock problems I had. They know their stuff and prices are reasonable. Mike and Nick are great. My apartment's deadbolt broke so I called up a few locksmiths on Yelp and Aero quoted me a much lower price than the others. They were half the price as other well-rated locksmiths. The locksmith came quickly, he was friendly, he did the work quickly, and charged the quoted price. I'm glad that there are still some honest locksmiths in NYC because there are a lot of scammers out there. read more

Reliable, Fast service, Good value and they pick up the phone!

Nick did an excellent job on replacing my lock(s). He arrived promptly and addressed the problem right away. My bottom lock was completely shot and needed to be replaced. He replaced the bottom lock. He also saw that my failed attempt to put the deadbolt on was not complete. He went above and beyond and offered to finish the top lock installation with no extra charge! He also filed my keys to fit the top lock bc the plate was not aligning right. I highly recommend this company and Nick for any service needed on your locks. I had a great experience. Very professional and kind! read more

These guys are outstanding. I am trying to write reviews for the local businesses where I live on the Upper Eastside and forget to write a review for Aero. Years ago I lost the keys to the dead bolt lock in my apartment, that and the fact that the lock was very old and would not work convinced me to finally call a locksmith. So I walked in to Aero's shop on 86th and First to make an appointment, as luck would have it, they had a locksmith available right then to install the dead bolt. They replaced the dead bolt and the strike plate and adjusted my bottom lock and now everything works perfectly, no need to slam the door to make it shut. The dead bolt lock I bought from them is well made and solid and cost less than if I had bought in Home Depot. You can trust these guys. Good work at a good price. read more
