Most of the students that attend this school are ESL students. However, my experience was with…read morelearning German to migrate to another country. Marco is well educated and knowledgable in German; a native German speaker who has also lived in America for a very long time. He culturally aware of the norms in both Europe and America. This was helpful because he prepared me for what I my new life would be like. Gave me words that I would my first weeks in Europe and prepared me for a European language classroom setting. Without taking this course I would have been lost my first days of school and unable to communicate effectively with my new family. He prepared me for the A1 exam which would end up being a requirement for my visa (which I did not know at the time) and communicated effectively with Bridge Learning Staff to explain my individual needs. A very compassionate instructor who was very understanding of my circumstances. I was also very impressed with the professionalism of the staff. While I was only to sign up for German lessons during that time, they did not cancel my class. Whenever I needed paperwork or anything from the school they provided prompt and effective responses to my problems. Overall, they did an excellent job and did the best they could to prepare me for the future life. While my experience is only with Marco and the staff; I believe any instructor that they employ will be effective instructors and will give a very personable experience. The school is on the first floor and is handicap accessible. It is located downtown and makes the location very easy to get to.

I took my sons on an immersion trip when they were in early elementary school. I know what a really…read morebad program looks like. And now I know what a truly world-class program looks like! I looked at a variety of immersion programs because my 11-year-old granddaughter wanted to learn Spanish and I wanted to improve my ability in Spanish. Four things about Common Ground International that stand out: the extensive and excellent pre-departure work required and facilitated by CGI staff; the excellence of teachers and teaching environment at the Lapa Verde Language School in Costa Rica; the suberb leaderships of CGI staff while in Costa Rica; and the excellence of excursions which provided a balance to the intensive classes as well and great cultural/historical learnings about Costa Rica.

I am delighted to recommend Common Ground International's Spanish Immersion Program to anyone eager…read moreto accelerate their language skills while truly experiencing Latin American culture. From the moment you enroll, program founders Leslie and Rory provide warm, personalized support--whether you're an absolute beginner or already fluent in Spanish. Their humility, kindness and genuine respect for each student's level create an atmosphere of confidence and growth. What sets Common Ground International apart is its thoughtfully balanced combination of rigorous classroom study, hands-on volunteer projects, culturally rich excursions, and the option of a local homestay. In the classroom, you'll be constantly challenged by enthusiastic, positive instructors who employ interactive methods--role plays, debates, community interviews--to push your Spanish forward every hour of every day. Outside the classroom, you'll deepen your understanding of local life by working alongside community organizations, exploring vibrant markets, and sharing meals with host-families who open their homes--and their hearts--to you. Throughout your stay, Leslie and Rory oversee every detail, from airport pickup to your final farewell, ensuring that logistics never get in the way of learning. Their commitment to a family-style atmosphere means you're never traveling or studying alone; you rapidly build friendships with classmates and locals alike, forging bonds that outlast the program itself. By the end of my experience, my confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing Spanish had soared--far beyond what I'd experienced in years of classroom-only study back home. Equally important, I came away with a deep appreciation for the daily rhythms, stories and traditions of the towns where I lived and volunteered. I wholeheartedly recommend Common Ground International to anyone--student, professional or retiree--who seeks an immersive, supportive and life-changing way to master Spanish and engage meaningfully with local communities.

Based on other…read morereviews, I think there have been some changes over the years, especially now that there is a new director and Mrs. Shawn is the Nido lead teacher. Although the school closes for teacher professional development days, I see the benefits in tweaks to the classroom environment and knowledge of the teachers! I love that the school is open from 7:15 - 5:30 since our schedule can vary and I can't do drop offs and pickups at exactly the same time each day. I was looking for an accredited school that would help my son with all his development milestones and truly put into practice Montessori teachings. I have been very pleased with the results and growth of my little guy! The teachers truly seem to love and get excited about the kiddos and all the progress they make. I also appreciate that they work closely with me for information updates and even on suggestions like how to start solids (e.g. to give him his own spoon to hold). I didn't want a school to just feed and change diapers, I wanted my happy little guy to flourish and I'm pleased that I found a school that would partner with me to achieve that goal!

The child has to be in the school by 9 AM (and I think they're open until 5/5:30), which seemed too early, especially considering the fares that they're charging. Right now, it's $1500 a month. An interesting aspect to their care though, and maybe why it's more, is that they provide the diapers and they only use cloth diapers to help with potty training. They also provide the food. It sounded like they had a good program in place to help those that couldn't afford their care if they met their guidelines. All-in-all it sounds like a great school. I'm just disappointed that they don't accept infants part time.

After taking my children to a karate studio that they hated, we found Nippon Kan and they love it. They are still active members after more than 10 years. I joined myself and have been a member for 2 years. It is great exercise and helps to integrate your mind, body, awareness and coordination. They have kept dues low to keep it affordable and as I have said the quality and training is excellent!

After searching the internet, I found this traditional Aikido dojo located right here in Denver. We were so impressed with the size - not that size matters, but this dojo is 5 or 6 times bigger than the other small dojos I was considering and having a large mat to practice on allows the kids to flow, run, and move more freely, helping them to perfect their techniques without running into a wall. Also, this dojo wins hands down on perfecting such an authentic traditional feeling that it is like we are literally practicing Aikido in Japan. The quality of the instructors was another reason I ended up taking classes as well. I now have all three of my kids taking Aikido and I recommend it to parents who are interested in a safe, comfortable, and friendly environment with some of the best instructors I have found. Also, the kids classes are so affordable that even parents with larger families can afford to have all the kids taking lessons. The best perk is that this dojo is connected to the best Japanese restaurant in the Nation! We love to eat at Domo right after kids class! I highly recommend Aikido Nippon Kan.
