Specifically, she taught me a very helpful framework that would give me clarity into what I wanted next, but also into what I actually needed. Alana thus helped me set clear boundaries and discover what my next step looked like. Once this was clear, one of the most difficult parts of my work was done. Alana is able to play a very personal role in helping you achieve your career goal. She takes her time to listen and understand your inner needs very well before she comes up with a plan. She truly believes that we all have a potential which we can achieve, if we take the right steps to get there. Once Alana understands your inner needs, she is able to easily unlock any personal or professional limitations and help you fulfill your potential by focusing on the specific areas that need action. I would highly recommend Alana to anyone who needs guidance with their career, seeks help regarding the job market, has uncertainties about the psychological part behind getting your dream job, is interested in recruiting -- her knowledge & experience around the area is incredible; or simply getting to know a gifted soul! :)

Alana has provided career guidance for me multiple times over the last 5+ years. She genuinely…read morecares about you as a person, and that remains priority #1 while she lends her extensive experience in Bay Area (and beyond!) recruiting to your personal situation. Alana will take the time to understand you as a person and provide counseling beyond what could be expected of a typical 'HR-type' looking to fill their next open position. With her inside experience she is able to guide your resume, conversation skills, and expectations to highlight your skills and strengths, and help you expose potential employers to the 'you' they really want to meet. This can be difficult for those with 'engineering minds' like myself who tend to be more objective, and Alana definitely helped me step out of that box. Most recently, I worked with Alana to update and improve my resume. After a single session we had completely re-worked one section of my resume to better reflect 'my voice' and clearly state my accomplishments in a way that highlighted my abilities as well as reflecting my personality. The difference from the initial draft I sent her to the final draft I used for interviews is subtle but dramatic, and I am positive it played a role in the callbacks I received. To hand over a resume that truly represents you makes everything that follows more natural, and that is a HUGE deal when making career moves! Beyond the resume, Alana was there to talk out any concerns, nerves, and provide encouragement throughout multiple levels of interviews and offer negotiations, something that can be overwhelming for someone at any level of professional experience. She has helped me aim higher than I would have on my own and provided the insider confidence I needed to push for the best possible outcomes. Could not recommend anyone higher; do yourself and your future a favor and let Alana guide you through your next professional moves.

With the surge in digital distribution and social media marketing strategies, however, the pressure is at an all-time high to create outstanding video that cuts through the noise. That's where we come in. Sure, we shoot with the RED and get goose bumps using the Phantom Flex and the Freefly Movi, but we know it's not about the technology. Every effective communications campaign is rooted in a great story. That's why we work together with you to craft a script that tells your story in a way that connects with your viewers emotionally. It inspires them. And we never press "repeat," like a lot of firms do. We don't have a style or a template. Check out our clients--they are diverse as can be--big and small, international and domestic, private and nonprofit. Over the last decade, our solutions for them have spanned the gamut. A good idea and script is not enough. Without a skillful, collaborative production partner, execution can be tough to pull off. Z-Channel takes the seed of the script and lets it germinate--using our considerable experience to leverage appropriate budgets, talents, and technology for maximum impact. We shepherd every project from that first idea to a film set and from the edit bay to the social-media proving ground. With Z-Channel Films, people tune in.

After being referred here from a friend, I was blown away by the following things: STAFF: Upon entering their offices (which are on the corner of 5th and Downing), I was greeted by a friendly face who told me how the typical process works in signing up with the agency. Fill out paperwork, enter various resume history into database, meet with a recruiter and wait for the opportunities to come in! After the first half was completed, I met with Karen - the Vice President. She was friendly, intelligent and is well versed in this industry. Karen asked me a few routine questions - career desires, job aspects, and salary before shaking my hand and saying she'd be in touch! COMMUNICATION: After about a week without hearing a word, I followed up with Karen, who promptly returned my email saying she had a potential opportunity for me. Karen and her colleagues constantly reached out to me throughout various job placements to ensure I was happy and offered insight on the job market and potential for growth. She was easily reachable and made the process seamless. She and her team continue to be this way - even know! JOB PLACEMENTS: Such a variety - based on your job history, salary expectations, location and duties! Because I solely wanted my foot in the door, I hopped on every opportunity that came my way - including a product tester! ha! Ultimately, I landed two great jobs, one of which I am still with today!
