They said it would take 2 days to complete, and on the second day I wasn't thrilled with how the floors looked..The flooring guy did not fill holes and the finish is already starting to peel off. It was also annoying that I kept having to point out spots missed from painting. The company they use for a deep clean came late and barely did anything. There was a lot of creaking beforehand, and after they were done with the job, there was barely any left It turned into a huge fight, and we had to kick them out. We had a move-in date scheduled with our moving company and almost had to cancel it because the apt was not move-in ready Luckily we found a really good cleaning company and they were able to come last minute. 3 stars because they did do some things right, although you really have to be on top of them and check their work.

The workmanship alone would merit 5 stars, but our refinishing projects with them was one of these rare cases where every aspect of it went better than we could have hoped. From the initial assessment to our last goodbye, Ben and George were communicative, responsive, personable, and genuinely wonderful to work with. The cost for their service is more than fair and well worth every penny. And their attention to detail was so deeply appreciated. From staining the thresholds on the doors and under the visible parts of the radiators to cutting down (and staining!!) the wood shims we had under the radiators to take up less actual and visible space, Ben's team truly thought of every detail. After contacting a couple of companies, we went with them due to the excellent customer service. From the beginning, they gave us good advice and coached us on options to save money while ending up with a great product. Making a large purchase of any kind is nerve-racking enough, and Robert's Flooring made the whole decision and installing process much easier for us. Our flooring crew arrived on time on the scheduled day (which we appreciated a ton because in the past we had experience with companies who disrespected our time) and they were top-notch installers -- clean workmanship, attention to detail and super nice to work with. I have confidence that Robert's team will be there if any issues arise with our new floors.Big thanks to all the staff and installers!

We weren't able to be there during the entire process, so he graciously made several videos and sent many photos to make sure I understood everything and saw everything that was going on with my own eyes. And by the way, he refinished our floors to look better than brand new. I didn't even realize the extent to which they were beat up until we saw the wood reach its true potential! He also is just great to talk to because he provides input when you ask for it, rather than some contractors who will just do what you ask them to without providing any sort of opinion on whether it may be a terrible idea. The pricing for refinishing our hardwood floors and staircase was also reasonable after comparing with a few others in the area. Patrick and his team also did a very good job of keeping everything clean and going the extra mile when they could, for example sanding down some wood stoppers nearby that I hadn't even initially requested but made all the difference.
