They installed an 11 x 17 deck, which came out very nice. However, the ends of the steps started to curl up and when we filled out the form from their website to get service, no one replied. We've also left several calls on their service and you always get forwarded to a voicemail that no one returns. Ended up doing an average job fixing myself. Now recently we had to paint the roof of our deck and some paint drips got on the floor so we called again multiple times to see what cleaners are safe for the deck and what not to use and no one is returning our calls. I spent 14,000 for my porch and stairs. When an icicle fell and cracked a cap from the steps , I called for help. Not only did I have to drive to Depew(which was fine) they wanted me to pay 15.00 for a replacement. When I mentioned how much we spent initially, she informed me that it was "policy" to charge for the cap. Bad business as far as I'm concerned. Seriously? As many other posters have mentioned, Vinyl Outlet advertises quite aggressively but don't follow through! I filled out a form on the Vinyl Outlet's website in May asking for a quote on rebuilding my front porch, which was made of substandard wood & not properly weatherproofed. Someone called the next morning & said I would get a call from their construction estimator who would be in my neighborhood that afternoon. I have heard nothing from them. Heads up y'all! If any of you are considering purchasing a Vinyl Outlet deck, let me give you some input before making that decision. They will tell you a selling point is how cool it is on your feet. No, it made children cry because it burns. They will tell you it's maintenance free. It is not. I didn't read the warranty before purchase because the salesman made all these claims. that part is on me. Their warranty states anything inside or outside of nature that causes staining is not covered. Boards were not installed well and bough. Some boards at the ends were not screwed in at all. Which comes down to customer service. Put in a service request. You can do that, over and over and over again. They don't really care. Estimator never greeted us upon arrival to give us a quote on 140 square feet of fencing. I was handed a tape measure and told to walk where I want it, then asked to remember the numbers as we walked the property. Kept referring to "picket" fencing when I specifically asked for solid white panels. Showed me his calculator, I asked him what he was showing me? He said the price for your picket fence. I reminded him I wanted solid panels and he said, "yeah, same price". We are instructed by the park that we are only allowed 4-foot fencing. He said they are charging me for 6 foot panels and cut to 4 feet. "We throw out the 2 feet you don't want". I told him "it's not that I don't want it, I can't have it". His response was..."what else you want me to do with the extra 2 feet, I can't use it." Not a good selling pitch point, Sir! Worst experience ever with a company that is selling $12k+ investment of a product. read more

Fixing the initial work done on our deck by Vinyl Outlet on Saturday. The Installer did an excellent job. Initially the deck was put in and an adjustment had to be made that I was told (after installed) was because of a cement strip that was up against the sliding glass doors. This made the deck look like an error was made because a skinny strip was put before the normal strips making it look out of place. When I called, a Vinyl Outlet representative came out to my house, when I explained my concerns, she told me she has seen it installed this way before but they would fix it. The Installer did fix it by making a strip to secure the normal size panel so it is uniform with the rest of the deck. Thank you! A few suggestions for anyone ordering a deck from the salesman. Be sure to put in writing what you would like done also draw a diagram so you will be sure to get what is expected. We spoke of the border around the deck, colors etc and I assumed the border would go totally around the deck but was told after the deck was installed that it is not bordered against the garage. Also, if having an old deck redone there is a term called "skinned" which I learned means they will leave the old wood. Be sure if you wish to not use the old wood from your deck that you state that. Bottom line, our deck is beautiful and we are pleased. We had both our porches, front and side with railings installed by Vinyl Outlet and they are beautiful and the installers were professional and a pleasure to do business with. read more

Jim came out quoted us $10,500 for to go over our 5x9 existing porch??? That should say it all but the worse part is that there was no breakdown ie materials, labor etc. He just pulled this number out and wrote it down. And this is after a so called 30% off the labor. so what does a 12x12 deck cost? $80,000? Makes no sense and when i called him on it there was nothing he could say except he was sorry and now he tells me that he's not the normal sales guy but that they are really expensive. Ok prove it show me the numbers and of course that never happened. Really bummed at the dishonesty and poor service. Why waste people's time. I later found out that he automatically charged us for a platinum package but was giving us the silver options and kept saying he add solar lights for free. Terrible! read more

Just wanna say that Wil and Dan, from Vinyl Outlet, installed a new set of deck - like stair entry to my sunroom, along with new railings in the front replacing the old wrought-iron railings. I have solar lights on 2 posts in front and back. These gentlemen did a fabulous job, and I'm so pleased with their work. They also did a complete clean up and kept me informed every step of the way. These folks are crooks. I won't attempt to spell out my total encounter getting a quote but holy crap. Wow! It was a complete used car salesman pitch trying to emphasized on a few extra trinkets that I get free due to my type of employment. Then there was the 30% off if I sign now but the discount goes down soon. Further, the 30% is off labor, not your entire quote. Simply put, it's 15% off all day everyday. Mark up to mark down. And for those who aren't aware, fence installation is computed in linear feet. Simple research from many sources give you a good estimate of what you should pay. In 2021, $50/LF is top dollar for installation. That includes ALL fees. Vinyl Outlet charges $75/LF PLUS extra for each gate. THIS IS THE BASE RATE FOR BASIC VINYL FENCING!!! The national average is $35/LF up to $50/LF for top end product. I have included the written estimate I was given. If my quote asking for $13500 on scratch paper (totally unprofessional) doesn't tell you enough, I'm not sure how to convince you to steer clear. read more

Vinyl Outlets replaced a porch 3 years ago on my house, a complete tear of and rebuild was performed. The porch is over the basement and began leaking water right through the middle (very clearly from the porch). I contacted VO but they would not warranty their work. After looking into it more, Vinyl Outlets did NOT comply to NYS residential building code, no wonder the porch is leaking after less than 3 years! I cannot emphasize what others have said enough, stay away, VO is overpriced and has abysmal workmanship. They do not follow building code and will not stand behind their work when it inevitably fails. read more

Scheduled a 6pm appointment for an estimate which was confirmed the day prior. Brandon called at 7:45 stating that he ran late with a customer and would stop by in 30 minutes. I was just leaving the house after waiting an hour and 45 minutes so he said he'd be back the next day at 6pm. Also promised to take good care of me. HA! At 7pm I got tired of waiting and left to run errands never receiving a call regarding his lack of appearance. Guessing my smaller project (new railings) was not appealing but they could be upfront and honest about it instead of leaving me waiting. Or perhaps somehow their time is more valuable than mine? Either way they've lost a customer, I'll find someone else who can keep appointments. Too bad for them because I'm looking at a major deck replacement next year. I never got to find out if the company does a good job at installing fence as I had the worst experience with the sales rep that I've ever had with any sales rep. James called me on 5/1 for a quote when i;d already set an appointment for 5/27, said he could be here in 45 mins. I advised that's fine I'd be available. that 45 minutes came and went, he then gave me a "courtesy call" to let me know he'd be here at 3pm. well, 3pm came and went and he then called me just as i texted him to cancel, as I had another business call and he told me he was standing in my back yard. OK, I went out and he measured and gave me a price. not an unreasonable price at all. he then showed me the process they used by hammering posts 5 feet into the ground, ok i';m good at this point. I then told him I needed to go and asked if he could leave me a written quote. He replied "no". I asked why and he said "you're either going to do it or you're not". So I then told him "i'm not and for him to get the F%^& out of here. I then walked into the house and hired Fences unlimited, who had given me a quote earlier int he day for around the same price. VO installed our fence maybe 5 or 6 years ago; we love it nice job. We try to pick a project (paint house, replace sliding glass door, get new washer, snowblower, etc.) once a year depending on urgency and/or money saved. This year we wanted to replace our front porch...mind you, this is not a wrap around or one with a deck. Our porch is about 5 or 6 foot cube wide with 3 stairs (so maybe 3 feet up at its tallest point to the front door give or take). The estimate I received was for $5000.00 to just cover our existing one. The gentleman explained this was a "deal" because we were previous customers, "normally it would be $5,700.00." I had my new fence installed this summer and it's beautiful. My rep, James Brennan, was so amazing to work with. He was energetic, excited to work with me and very knowledgeable.
