I called today to get an estimate for a front porch. I was told that I was the 103rd call that he had gotten in the last two days, and that there was no way he could even consider getting me an appointment before Memorial Day. Then he quoted me a price, what the install and materials would be per square foot. Asked me about how big my porch was, then told me that it would be 15K. I am pretty sure it was to just turn me off from the project. I asked him if I should just call back when it gets closer to Memorial day to make an appointment, he just said ''Hmm, yeah." He seemed uninterested and just brushed me off. I understand it is the time of the year where everyone wants home improvements done, and perhaps I would have been willing to wait until Memorial day to get an estimate. But, given his unprofessionalism and quickness to dismiss me, I will not give him my business. I will also be passing the word along to others that I know. Seeing as so many businesses are struggling at this time, Jim should be happy that I was the 104th call and not the 1st. read more

We were so pleased with the services provided by this company beginning with the initial free estimate from Mr. Malczewski. He provided a very knowledgeable assessment of our needs & requests. We were impressed with his design suggestions. Thorough information without sales pressure. The price was excellent. Mr. Malczewski called as promised to set the 2 day construction schedule. Jim Malczewski & John came promptly on each day, worked diligently, & considerately. The outside area was cleaned at the end of the 1st day with a final, thoughtful cleanup @ the end of the job. The porch is beautiful and WELL constructed. We were provided with insights how to maintain the structure, insights about the structure, & the warranty paperwork immediately after completion. When this house was built in 2010, the contractor used the " Big Name" vinyl railing company to install the patio railings. They faded within a couple years and some repair work was needed. When we invited Jim to give us an estimate, he alerted us to the pieces of material and finishing touches which were omitted from the work. He made suggestions and assisted in outlining the replacement project. His cost was surprisingly acceptable, since we were getting more material and labor than the initial installation. We were extremely satisfied with the finished product. We recommended Jim to several neighbors in our community who questioned us about our attractive railings. Those who hired Jim for some work were grateful to us for the recommendation. The one neighbor who hired the "Big Name" company, has had a few bothersome issues, which were never corrected to his satisfaction. Jim M. is never satisfied, unless YOU are completely satisfied. Just today, we gave an acquaintance some on-line info about Jim's business. She needs a railing replacement done in the spring of the year.
