I'm 63 years old and he gave me the most thorough and professional eye exam I've EVER had. BUT!!! The reason I am leaving a poor review is that my eye exam was 7 weeks ago to the day and I STILL do not have my glasses. I was promised them the week after my exam. I find this wait time unacceptable and I will not be going back.

The lady at the front desk said "so you are coming though". I said "oh yes ma'am, I am on 26 I'm just running late". Lady said "lucky man". They sure did let her keep the appointment. When the doctor told me she couldn't see me, she was not even polite about it. If someone calls and says I'll be there in a few or I'm running late. Just go ahead and tell them whether or not you'll be able to see them or not. Do not go to this eye doctor. It was just Rudeness and a waste of my time.

The man still never got the nose pads flat and never checked the bend behind his ears. My son told the optician that things seemed weird. He dismissed him saying well just wear them. if they still seem off by Monday come back in. I couldn't believe that's all they did for a kids first pair of glasses. We weren't halfway home before his head started hurting and he felt a sick to his stomach. I didn't feel confident taking them back to the same optician so I had the glasses checked somewhere else. Found out the lenses were in backwards-like left lens was put in right side eye wire and right lens in the left. The optician who checked them for us put the lenses in correctly and instantly my son said, wow that's so much better. I can imagine. He got those glasses because the eye check at dmv for his permit showed a problem with his vision. Thank God we found someone to fix them before he actually wore them to practice driving.

Had to wait until the next day as Rudi was not in that day, but I get a text 10 minutes after they opened saying my repair was ready picked them up, took them back to Jimmy and he popped the lens back in and adjusted them for me. After looking over the attractive selection of frames…read moreand selecting one, I mentioned to the owner Jimmy, that I had had cataract surgery for both eyes about two months ago. He immediately asked me if I had Medicare and, when I responded in the affirmative, he recommended that I go to another store that he knew accepted Medicare. It should be known that although Medicare does not have an eyeglass plan, they do cover necessary eyeglass prescriptions for patients who have undergone cataract surgery. I probably would not have not this had he not told me. Since moving to this area of North Carolina, from out of state, my wife and I have been amazed at the ubiquitous honesty and kindness of the North Carolinians we have met. Jimmy was no different. On top of everything else, upon noticing the broken pair of glasses clenched in my hand, he offered to repair it for me and refused our attempt to pay him for this. We're glad to be living here.
