One of the best decisions my husband and I made for our wedding was hiring DJ Kevin from Elite Entertainment! He was very professional throughout the entire planning process, and helped answer all the questions we had. They provide a detailed worksheet to fill out that's due a month prior to the event, with music preferences for each event of the wedding. We also created a spotify playlist of songs that we like so he could get a sense of the mood we wanted to create for the dancing portion, and Kevin did a wonderful job leveraging this and even added songs of similar genre! We met with him a couple weeks before our wedding to go through our day-of schedule, where he made a lot of great suggestions that we hadn't thought of, and we are so glad we made the changes! It definitely helped the atmosphere of the night and the flow made more sense. On the wedding day itself, DJ Kevin brought all of the equipment and did the setup himself in a timely manner, and took all the initiative to help MC the event - all the music timing was flawless for both the ceremony and reception, he helped with bridal party and other announcements, got our toast givers get ready for their toasts, and kept people dancing on the dance floor all night! DJ Kevin killed it at our wedding! After a very thorough search and chats with a handful of other companies, we ultimately decided to go with Elite Entertainment. Kevin DJ'ed and MC'ed the whole event and we also rented a projector and screen for a slideshow during our reception. Kevin was very responsive throughout the whole planning process. We provided him with a general overview of the type of music we wanted along with a few specifics and he took it from there - no hand-holding needed. We met at the office about two weeks before the wedding to go over the schedule. He was very knowledgeable, provided some valuable input which we hadn't thought of, and had us leaving that meeting feeling very comfortable. On the day of, Kevin's energy was great! As MC, he managed the whole flow of the wedding perfectly. He kept us on schedule throughout the night, was very patient with our guests, and even accommodated some last-minute changes. When it came to music, he did a great job of feeling out the crowd. He played an awesome mix of 90's/2000's jams along with current hits and some crowd pleasers that got the crowd on the dance floor and singing along all night. We received feedback from a handful of our guests as well as our event coordinator about how great the music was! To top it all off, we were surprised at the end of the night with a personal CD with all the top songs from throughout the day. We especially liked this personal touch. My husband and I chose DJ Josh at Elite Entertainment as our wedding DJ and we couldn't have been more pleased! DJ Josh provided ceremony and reception AV/music and did a great job working with our videographer and coordinator to make sure the audio was taken care of and the music was timed for the processional and recessional at the chapel, as well as working with all of our vendors to make sure things like our first dance, the cake cutting, etc., happened at the right times during the reception. Kevin and Elite Entertainment were amazing to work with! The music worksheet they provide beforehand really helps with the preparation and gave us confidence before the event. Kevin was more than willing to hop on several calls before the wedding so that both parties were fully aware of how the evening would unfold. Kevin did a fantastic job as an MC to gather everyone from the cocktail hour into the dining room, to make sure that the speeches ran smoothly during the dinner, and to make sure that guests were aware of any extracurricular activities/announcements (cake-cutting, first dance, bathrooms, etc.). He was extremely personable and easy go get along with, and was flexible too accommodate last-minute requests from us and our guests for songs and dancing ideas. We had DJ Kevin at our wedding in September at the Hakone Estate & Gardens in Saratoga and could not have been happier. Elite Entertainment was recommended to us by friends who also had Kevin at their wedding last year, which made them an easy choice that was also reaffirmed the other great reviews here as well as from our venue. Since my wife and I were fairly busy, we actually did all of the communication with Kevin via phone/email prior to the wedding. Throughout the whole process, he was extremely professional and responsive. We were provided with very well-organized worksheets to make communicating our music preferences super easy. Just by completing those and providing some examples of songs we wanted to be played during various phases, Kevin was able to craft an incredibly seamless event that fit the exact vibe we were going for. We had multiple guests tell us how much they loved his DJing after the wedding. Besides the obvious music/mixing responsibilities, Kevin was also incredible at all the other important aspects. He was there early, fully set up, and had no problems at all with some of the specific logistical challenges of our venue. There wasn't a single hiccup/glitch to the whole event (which I definitely have witnessed as a guest of other wedding/events). In my opinion, the DJ is one of the most crucial parts of the wedding. I originally interacted with DJ Turner and Kevin, and both were super responsive and continuously followed up with me. DJ Aaron was adequate. He did a good job of finding the (sometimes obscure) songs we requested, and his announcements were pretty good. For background music, rather than asking us our taste and finding suitable music, he just asked us to produce a playlist (with a ~12 hour deadline!). I provided a set of songs and suggested he decide a good order, or at least shuffle them, but he played them in the order I'd provided. He handled music for dancing, which was better, though he didn't do anything fancy in terms of transitioning between songs. read more

On the wedding day, Tony arrived on time and coordinated with the venue to ensure that everything happened according to schedule.
