The first is simple and contemporary, the second involved an intricate pattern of colorful tiles forming wall-size images. Sara worked with us on the design, asking many questions to understand our aesthetic aims and practical needs, and offering a variety of options for us to choose among to achieve our goals. She also provided a variety of very effective ideas and solutions, considering the physical constraints of the (relatively small) spaces, to ensure the best use of spaces and to create a very open feel in both bathrooms, all in a cost-effective manner. The actual construction was done in an extremely professional manner by workers who were not only highly-skilled but also friendly, considerate of our needs, and responsive to our questions and concerns as the projects progressed. Particularly impressive, amazing really, was the tile work performed by Cliff. The colorful bathroom involved laying more than 1,000 tiles, and cutting more than 100 tiles to create the intricate design. It also involved the fitting of the many tiles to very close tolerance specifications. Cliff was both masterful and highly conscientious in completing this tile work. The result is stunning. In addition, along the way in both bathrooms, specific questions arose about alternative approaches to implementing features of the design. Cliff identified and raised these questions for us to think about, and he offered aesthetically pleasing solutions. In short, Cliff's work was thoughtful, technically masterful, and informed by his strong sense of aesthetic beauty. We are most impressed by Kitchen and Bath World for their general approach, their implementation, and the final product in renovating both bathrooms. Kitchen and Bath World has our highest recommendation.

While we did not always follow his lead, he kept in mind my concepts (spa like he kept calling it) and worked with us down to the vent cover. We are grateful for his knowledge and patience. They were swift to replace the problem part and the delay (a problem at the manufacturer) was minimal.

I purchased a granite countertop from Solid Surface Craftsman (Paul Perry Kitchens) and it was a…read moregiant mistake. The first time they installed it (2+ months late with no apology) the installer crew was late and the whole thing was crooked. They reluctantly sent out a 2nd installer crew (that was late, again) to fix it and when that installer crew didnt fix it right they sent out a third installer crew (that was late, again) and Ed, their lead installer, to fix it, who was probably one of the rudest people I have ever met, and they fixed the "field joint" but then there was a one inch gap between the countertop and walls on both ends. When I said something to Ed, he said it was because they had chipped away at so much material fixing their mistakes and basicly blamed me for having them come out and fix their mistakes so many times. If they were real profesionals they would have installed it right the first time. The owner of the company, Alan Boulant, told me to deal with it or buy new material. Terrible business ethics, dont buy a countertop from Solid Surface Craftsman.
