Overall a very stressful , inconvenient and unimpressive experience. Felt our little job wasn't a priority . However when the job started I didn't realize Jeff wouldn't be involved much at all. Instead the Foreman running the job didn't share the same values as Jeff, He is actually a complete HACK and I would never let him in my home again. Jeff's price was by far not the cheapest but I thought it would be worth it for a job well done. Instead all the electrical, plumbing, and HVAC was done by the foreman who clearly has no business to be in that line of work. It was all done incorrectly, with many shortcuts taken. He also lied and cheated his way through every inspection process that clearly needed to be done. After many missed deadlines, a job that was estimated to take 8 weeks was stretched to over 20 weeks where I was finally forced to remove this company from the job and spend more time and money finishing with other contractors. After just a few short months I am already having issues with the work McDonald Construction performed.

We even had the added challenge of a product color issue which they noticed after the sunlight hit it a certain way. This involved them removing quite a bit of siding and re-installing the problem areas. We went with oversized corners, and wide width window frame caps to keep it period correct, which again challenged the crew. Overall the project came out amazing, and his quote was extremely fair and competitive. Site was always kept picked up & tidy - highly recommended you give them a call.

We…read morewanted a complete tear off of our old cedar siding, installation of 1/2" insulation board and installation of vinyl shake siding which has specific installation requirements. Scott estimated that the project would take up to a month even with a 3-4 man crew. He indicated that once they started my project they would work on only my project until it was completed. Pricing was agreed upon as well as costs for overages such as replacing rotten plywood, etc. Even though they used more plywood than we agreed and I had a couple spots with wood damage, we were not charged any additional for the project. We made several after the fact upgrades (6" gutters instead of 5", hidden soffit, etc. We were only charged the difference in the cost of the materials even though some of my requests required additional labor. We were very happy with the attention to detail that the crew had. They went above and beyond on our front entrance and garage doors to match the Azek trim that we had requested. Once they started our project, they worked on it exclusively every day (except 2 awful weather days) until it was fully complete. It took 3 1/2 weeks to complete. The pricing was not the lowest, but was far more reasonable than most of the other quotes that I received and the crew was skilled and efficient and they took pride in their work. Our home looks great and we have received many compliments from the neighbors. We highly recommend Precision Exteriors to anyone needing siding work in the Capital Region!

I'll start by saying the showroom is beautiful and the products appear to be high quality. Our kitchen is very small, approximately 4x8, so we were surprised when the estimate came in at $50,000. What made that especially difficult to justify was that the price did not include appliances, or our quartz countertops that we wanted. This was primarily for demolition, installation, and cabinetry. One advantage they promote is speed. Traditional kitchen remodels can take months between design appointments, ordering cabinets, and contractor scheduling, so I understand paying more for convenience and a faster timeline. However, for comparison purposes, we ultimately completed our kitchen elsewhere. We selected upgraded features including pull-out shelves, pantry storage, lazy susan corner cabinet, garbage cabinet, and quartz countertops, and our final cost was $15,500 in total ($13,000 for the cabinetry + $2,500 for tbe quartz countertop). That means our quote from 10 Day Kitchen Solutions was more than three times higher, while still not including countertops or the appliances. This review is not about quality, we thought the showroom and products looked excellent. It simply came down to affordability and value. For homeowners with larger budgets who prioritize speed, this may be a good fit. For us as seniors, paying cash, and not financing, the pricing put it out of reach.

The first is simple and contemporary, the second involved an intricate pattern of colorful tiles forming wall-size images. Sara worked with us on the design, asking many questions to understand our aesthetic aims and practical needs, and offering a variety of options for us to choose among to achieve our goals. She also provided a variety of very effective ideas and solutions, considering the physical constraints of the (relatively small) spaces, to ensure the best use of spaces and to create a very open feel in both bathrooms, all in a cost-effective manner. The actual construction was done in an extremely professional manner by workers who were not only highly-skilled but also friendly, considerate of our needs, and responsive to our questions and concerns as the projects progressed. Particularly impressive, amazing really, was the tile work performed by Cliff. The colorful bathroom involved laying more than 1,000 tiles, and cutting more than 100 tiles to create the intricate design. It also involved the fitting of the many tiles to very close tolerance specifications. Cliff was both masterful and highly conscientious in completing this tile work. The result is stunning. In addition, along the way in both bathrooms, specific questions arose about alternative approaches to implementing features of the design. Cliff identified and raised these questions for us to think about, and he offered aesthetically pleasing solutions. In short, Cliff's work was thoughtful, technically masterful, and informed by his strong sense of aesthetic beauty. We are most impressed by Kitchen and Bath World for their general approach, their implementation, and the final product in renovating both bathrooms. Kitchen and Bath World has our highest recommendation.
