DQ provided the most reasonable quote at a reasonable time. Devis was incredibly responsive, communicative, and respectful. He was reluctant to provide advice on paint colors, but it was clear we didn't like the color I picked out for my living room. After some deliberation, a new color was picked and his team repainted the living room at no extra charge. Another important detail is that I'm pretty handy myself, and most contractors I've dealt with were generally dismissive of women who know a thing or two about home repairs, tools, and the work it entails. Not Devis. He and his partners were great - they listened, considered my input, and I never felt dismissed in any way. Fillers are required everywhere to make everything fit, fillers that go up to 4'' a pop. Exposed screws, nails emerging through cabinet fronts, holes drilled in wrong spots, handles installed crooked, crown molding and trim do not fit, appliances off center, I could go on and on. Nothing could be replaced because the owner is sick and not placing orders any time soon, if ever. He's incapable of making repairs and we're left without a functional kitchen. We find him a month later trying to sell more cabinets a home show! Jack has proven to fabricate stories and is not to be trusted.

This is the second project performed by owner John Markowski and his partner Bob. We purchased Harvey Windows from Curtis Lumber which John did all the measuring and ordering; including some upgrades. They removed the siding to add flashing since flashing had not been installed when the house was built in 1992. They also built and painted the casings, aprons, and sills. Their craftmanship was outstanding. John gave us recommendations as to where to purchase new shutters that he hung as well. Both John and Bob are very trustworthy which was important since they were in almost every part of our home. They cleaned inside and outside at the end of each day. John estimated ten days to complete and they finished in nine. The final cost was almost the same amount as the quote we received from a local Windows & Doors company. I would not hesitate to hire Dream Builders & Remodeling in the future.

They had been recommended through our main contract with Kitchen and Bath (kiba) Studios of Clifton Park. I'm reviewing Dream Builders & Remodeling separately because of how pleased we are with the outstanding work they performed. Owner John and his assistant demonstrated exceptional skills whether working with tiling, plumbing, or woodworking. Because we needed extensive electrical work to be done John arranged for a subcontractor to do that work. John made some suggestions early on in our project that not only addressed the aesthetics of a room but also improved its functioning. He and his assistant always arrived to work at the scheduled time and put in a full day's work. They made every effort to protect the areas they needed to pass through by using floor and stair coverings. They were very pleasant and courteous individuals who respected our home and did not blast radios or swear while working. We were so pleased with the quality of their work that during a period of downtime while we waited for a cabinet to replace one that had arrived damaged, we entered a direct contract with John to upgrade the trim around the windows of three bedrooms and to paint the walls and ceilings of those bedrooms. There is no doubt that we will be contacting John at Dream Builders & Remodeling again when we identify another project to be undertaken.
