Bottom line: Quality. As a retired architectural designer I had high expectations for the…read moreconstruction of the retirement home I designed. After vetting several companies I landed on Maui Built Homes. I knew, from experience, that when you hire a builder you are really hiring people, and after just a few days into the project I already knew that I'd hired the right group. Everyone involved was professional and a pleasure to work with - Brett (the owner), John (the Project Manager and a "Make things happen" kind of a guy), Tom (the Leader Carpenter and quintessential perfectionist), Cody (the Assistant Carpenter and up and coming "Tom"), and Daniel (the Assistant Carpenter) were impressive. On top of all that, their vendors (roofing, plumbing, electrical, solar, etc.) are all of the highest quality too. We worked well together and became family - They are that kind of company. I wouldn't recommend anyone else. Thanks Maui Built Homes for our beautiful home!

He and his crew always showed up when they said they would & did a great job of not making us feel like we were in a construction zone while they were working on our house for 2 weeks. They even came back twice after finishing the job to install lanai screens that we had to have ordered. Felipe gave us estimates and options on each home improvement item on our list, truly looking at it from the point of what would be best in the long run for the house, but also keeping in mind costs. He gave valuable suggestions all through the project on materials, colors, etc. and is very knowledgeable in his field. The custom lanai doors that Felipe built are incredible! They are a beautiful addition to the house & we are so happy we went with his recommendation! You can see the pride he takes in his work. We also got to see the amazing home he just finished building for himself & would recommend him to anyone building a new home or for any renovations.
