We drove into his business and he was busy with another customer, he took my number and said he would call me back. In an hour, he called me back and asked me all about what I was looking to have done. His courtesy, professionalism and sense of urgency impressed us greatly. He personally did the template and coordinated the pick up of the granite from Hawaii Ceramic, who also spoke very highly of Rob and his company. When it came to the install, his crew, with Rob, came to my house and treated our home as if it were their own. His crew was very professional and courtious, all of his guys showed great workmanship and were very meticulous in the installation process. We were so impressed, we hired Rob and his company to install our master bathroom shower and granite vanity top as well. They gave us a quality proposal, complete with drawing (needed for approval by our home owners association). They executed the job quickly and professionally. They also did a great job cleaning up after themselves. The finished wall looks very good. More importantly, during the past two storms (Hurricane Lane and Tropical Storm Olivia) water did not pool up in the area in the back of the house, even though it rained very hard in our area.

We have a tankless hot water system. They said we needed to expand our electric panel and we paid them to do this. However, the lights still flicker when we turn on the hot water. Additionally, they never got the permit approval from the county although we paid for it, so the work is not permitted. Also, if you check the state contractors license board, they are not a licensed contractor, so we have no recourse but honest reviews. I also paid them to fix light switches which still don't work. To their credit, they did put in a 220v outlet in the kitchen for my electric oven and induction cooktop, and that is working. But that is the only thing they did that works and we are out of a lot of money. We are kapuna living on fixed income, so thousands of dollars wasted to fix something and it's still broke is a big deal. Another thing - check your invoices. They quoted me time and materials, but then they just charged one amount and didn't invoice time OR materials, just one lump sum for work that was never done. Then they said no county permit unless I paid balance in full for incomplete work, which we did, but still no county permit approval. I hired them based on good reviews, but I got bad service. I feel very taken advantage of.

I went to Truss Systems Hawaii's in-person site, and was able to check out a storage shed and talk about customizing one to fit my needs. Once I settled on the size and hardware (door style, windows), and scheduled the delivery day, it took two half days to build. Please note I chose the unpainted version (see photo). The guys setting up were very efficient. I got into a bit of a pickle when my wife saw the finished shed. Now she wants one for a she-shed. Great experience and an awesome product!
