Thanks for saving my condo!…read more Juan is prompt, friendly, and does great work. As a vacation rental property owner, I often need help with small maintenance jobs since I don't live on Maui. He gave me peace of mind on very short notice when others were either unavailable or thought the job was too small. Here's what happened. I was having a new AC system installed over 3 days, and since my lanai is tiny, I also had to have a glass company temporarily remove a window and sliding glass door. Neither had the supplies to cover the resulting giant hole in the wall overnight. So I quickly scrambled to find a handyman on Yelp, requesting several quotes. Juan didn't just email me back--he called in less than an hour. He immediately understood what I needed and had the openings covered with plywood the same day AND was kind enough to wait until the AC crew was finished for the day. I will definitely be calling him for future projects.

So early next day I called several handyman and was able to talk to Juan and he did the job the same day. Great communication, Juan was able to run to Lowes to pick up a new window AC unit for the Condo that I pre-purchased online. Everything went smoothly from the time I called him till the time he finish the job. From the time I called him, it took less than one hour to get back to me. He got to Lowes to pick up the AC really quick and equally quick to the condo. The whole job took about 6 hours and he even took the old AC to the recycling center. Greatly recommended, and the next time I am in a jam, he will be the first for me to reach out to.

Spencer Scoffings just finished doing 9 varied repairs on our home in Maui over several days:…read morereplacing a wood-rotted side door on the garage, repairing a stuck pocket door, refinishing stained wood entry doors, repairing sliding glass door track and screens, building a door for the parcel delivery cutout by the front door, replacing a can light fixture, sanding and painting a rusted electricity panel box, etc. He did a very professional job on all these repairs and his personal conduct (on-time arrival, steady work, very clean, polite) was great. His fees were reasonable and he was able to source (or create) all the items needed to complete these repairs. Spencer knows carpentry, and has done whole house remodeling as well as the type of repair projects he did for us. We would (and will!) certainly hire him again. Best way to reach him is by calling or texting his cell phone: 808-269-5426. He will do projects on houses Upcountry, Central, Kihei, Waiiea-Makena, Lahaina.

Tom is extremely knowledgeable, his communication was exceptional, he was very reliable and showed up when he said he would, all work was performed with the utmost courtesy and care to our home, and the project was completed ahead of schedule. All additional required support (Trevor, James and Lysa) were coordinated flawlessly and they were equally as courteous, reliable, professional and the work they did was exceptional. We can't express enough how pleased we are with the result of the project and would highly recommend Tom and his crew to anyone looking for a high quality, competitive and professional project.

We have a tankless hot water system. They said we needed to expand our electric panel and we paid them to do this. However, the lights still flicker when we turn on the hot water. Additionally, they never got the permit approval from the county although we paid for it, so the work is not permitted. Also, if you check the state contractors license board, they are not a licensed contractor, so we have no recourse but honest reviews. I also paid them to fix light switches which still don't work. To their credit, they did put in a 220v outlet in the kitchen for my electric oven and induction cooktop, and that is working. But that is the only thing they did that works and we are out of a lot of money. We are kapuna living on fixed income, so thousands of dollars wasted to fix something and it's still broke is a big deal. Another thing - check your invoices. They quoted me time and materials, but then they just charged one amount and didn't invoice time OR materials, just one lump sum for work that was never done. Then they said no county permit unless I paid balance in full for incomplete work, which we did, but still no county permit approval. I hired them based on good reviews, but I got bad service.
