First and foremost, this is the weirdest shadiest seeming dry cleaners I have ever been to. I turned in my curtains on a Monday was told they'd be ready by Friday, staff seemed friendly. I went on Friday at 12:30, was told my items wouldn't be ready until 2, fine, I went on Monday at 4pm to pickup, was told oh sorry they won't be ready until tomorrow, fine again, weird but what can I do. Went Tuesday morning, was told oh they wont be ready until after 12, like now, wtf, I was visibly annoyed at that time, what happened to my order being ready on Friday after 2?? But whatever, i go at 1 on Tuesday, i pick up my curtains. I go to hang them and I don't know how they did it but they ruined my curtains. My panels were 108" and touched the floor, they shrunk by over 6 inches......is that why my curtains were never "ready" when I came to pickup because they knew they messed up?? I have no words this place and yet so many words at the same time. I want to give 0 stars because on top of everything I paid for this service and now my curtains are ruined and need to be replaced. read more

Absolutely terrible service! I went in about three weeks ago to have a shirt tailored only to come back to tell me that the worker is out of state and they will not be able to do it. They had originally told me it would only take about a week now I'm leaving out of state and I don't have a shirt that I want to wear. I will never be going back to this place. However, over the last several months, the service has deteriorated to the point where I will not be going back. At first things were just late, nothing was ready when promised. Then the store was randomly closed during their posted business hours. The last straw, was them damaging a skirt. The skirt was dropped off a month ago. After 3 attempts to pick up my clothes, where I was told that it was not ready, I demand my clothes back whether they were ready or not. Turns out that my black and white skirt was now rose pink and black. They did comp the other 2 pieces that they cleaned, however, that doesn't replace the skirt nor the cost to replace it. read more

My usual dry cleaners often failed to remove stains on our jackets and slacks, would say they can't be removed. Then one evening I see the cleaner loading sacks of clothes into a van from a company that actually cleans the clothes, my local cleaner used a third party to clean. Wasn't happy about this and found Elite Cleaners, they do their own cleaning in-house and I could see their equipment in the back of the store. Just like other negative reviews here, I requested suit and a dress to be drycleaned for special occasion, and they ALL came with strong chemical/Indian food scent. I tried to use Febreeze and lit a candle in my closet but didn't work and now my entire closet smells like chemical substance or Indian food. Cost of dry cleaning isn't that cheap either at this place. So, go to another local cleaner if you have one. read more

Gave them two suits, two blazers and a pair of slacks for dry cleaning. They gave them back on time, but all the clothes had a strong pungent smell of chemical. I couldn't wear the clothes anywhere. Had to wear something else for an occasion. Gave them the clothes back and told them that I can't wear the clothes because of the smell. They took all the clothes back and promised that they will fix the smell issue. After 4 days I got my clothes back and the smell hasn't gone. I was supposed to wear my suits at two different occasions, but couldn't. Also, the dry cleaning here is not really cheap. I wasted my money as I had to give all my clothes somewhere else for dry cleaning. Poor job! read more

I went back with the shirts I was not satisfied for. 2 of them where ironed with some wrinkles on, one was dirty with some machine oil. at the beginning he wanted me to pay again to clean the machine oil, then I expressed my disappointment and he agreed to clean it at no charge.the two shirts got ironed ok, while the blue shirt with machine oil got cleaned but showed fading color in some extended areas,see pict... Dry cleaned a cashmere sweater here and it came back smelling like strong INDIAN CURRY (I did not know that this is possible - absolutely outrageous). Took it to another cleaner to have it dry cleaned two more times and the strong smell did not come off. I had to hand wash the sweater to get rid of the smell. Basically a $200 cashmere sweater ruined. The other cleaner re-dry-cleaned the affected sweater with a couple of my other sweaters and now everything smells like indian curry. Do yourself a favor and don't take yours clothes here for dry cleaning. My husband takes his dress shirts here for (wet) wash & dry, which works out for him - no curry or other funny smell. read more

Went here to get a dress cleaned, I told him I needed it by Thursday and the told me it was no problem. When I went to go pick up my dress they couldn't find it!!!!! He typed my name wrong in the system even though I had spelled it for him 3 times. I had discovered Elite Cleaners by total accident during this Summer. I was searching for Dry Cleaners in general via Yelp and I actually mistaken Elite Cleaners with the one supposedly next to Lucky's Supermarkets, but because I couldn't find the other one, I remember seeing the sign for this place with the glowing blue light that read, "Open" in reddish/pinkish glow from the intersection between W Las Positas Blvd and Dorman Rd. Elite Cleaners is right behind the Shell Gas Station on Hopyard/W Las Positas, but, from the small parking lot where Elite Cleaners is located, the building sits right across from the DMV lot. I'm glad I made that error by not finding the other place because after today, my husband and I are very pleased with Elite Cleaners and the guy who owns the place totally rocks, friendly, he dry cleaned my husband's shirts just perfectly both times and this time, I requested to have one of the buttons sewed on. And, originally, I was asked to come back Friday at 6pm, but my husband has a very important day on Thursday therefore the owner was able to work with me to where I had gone back 6pm today to pick up after dropping the shirts off yesterday (Tuesday) and very short notice, which I apologize for. Jorge is capable, dependable & reasonably priced! I'd tried other dry cleaners in the Tri-Valley but they were too far, too expensive or too cheap (lost or damaged garments). Since then I've been going to Elite Cleaners and have had consistently good experiences. Their operating hours allow me to swing by before or after work and on Saturdays too. Jorge has also done some repairs, alterations and non-standard dry cleaning (large blankets) for me. Lastly, my clothes have always been ready when promised.
