Here's why: I purchased a robotics party from this company for my son's birthday in Living Social in February. I confirmed the appointment for the August party with them on March 14. On June 18--three months later, they wrote to inform me that they could not lead the event at our house because their "standard review" revealed that there was too much crime in our neighborhood. (This is Takoma, DC, where the neighborhood kids play outside every day in summer, well into the evening.) They wanted us to rent a DC rec center for the party--rec centers, that is, that have no security at all and very questionable safety. Example: I've observed drug deals and heavy pot smell at one DC rec center and decided that our kids were SAFER not visiting it. There is no mention of this safety policy or practice in the company's Living Social deal or in their website. So beware: Unless you live in a totally safe neighborhood (is there one?), you may be in for additional, unadvertised expenses, if you book a party with them.

I attended a bridal expo for inspiration and potential vendors. Something stood out to me, a…read morebeautiful flower display. As I got closer, I realized it was a lovely floral display of a rose tree and 2 white cherry blossom trees. I fell in love instantly! I spoke to the representative from Dalissa and found out they rent and deliver all types of items for weddings, parties, or any type of function. I checked out their website and saw they had everything from fancy chairs and tables to floral arches and special event items. I made contact and decided to rent the rose bush and cherry blossom trees. The delivery went seamlessly and so did the pick-up. My guests were blown away at the look and feel it gave the room. I'm extremely happy that I decided to rent these items, they went with my theme and they looked so real and elegant. I initially thought about making my own arch, but this was so cost effective and it was taken back afterwards, so I didn't need to figure out what I was going to do with it after. Plus, who can beat a set-up, delivery, and pick-up without me having to lift a finger. I will absolutely use this company in the future for any party rentals I may require.

So last minute I was running around trying to find a chair for the mother to be to sit in for the…read moreshower. I found this place and they had a very reasonable price for a peacock chair, it was perfect. So I was able to get a friend with a SUV to come with me to this party rental place (they do not deliver items to your destination you are responsible for everything). At first no one was answering the phone at the rental but I kept calling because it was the day of the baby shower and I had no other choice. We get there and was talking to the owner Jeremy and the manager. Jeremy offered us Dunkin' Donuts while he was assisting another customer. We asked to see the chair because I was mainly afraid it wouldn't fit inside the SUV. So the manager told us it wouldn't fit and if it did he would give us a dollar each because he has done this before. So we knew we had to try since this was my last chance. He grabbed the chair and Jeremy, my friend and I watched as the chair fit like a glove right in the car. It was perfect! We were obviously happy! We also got our dollar each, lol which was actually funny! Jeremey processed our payment and of course yelp came through and offered 5% off for our first rental! It was great & worked out perfectly!! The chair was great and the mother-to-be loved it. The chair did not come with the cushion so we had to improvise and had our own, but it was perfect and made the room look even better!! At some points it felt like they were a part of our party which i loved. The were on time and quickly set up. Unfortunately it rained before we could watch our outdoor movie.
