If you're looking for a bartending company that truly handles everything from start to finish, I cannot recommend BAR RO'D enough! We hired Ro, Cara, and Devo for our Halloween party last year, and they completely exceeded our expectations!!From the very beginning, they took the time to understand our guest count, helped determine exactly how much beer, wine, liquor, mixers, and supplies we would need, and even created a custom cocktail menu for the event. They thoughtfully included delicious mocktail options for our pregnant guests, which was such a wonderful touch. They arrived with absolutely everything--bar setup, cups, napkins, supplies, garnishes, and all the details I would have otherwise spent countless hours coordinating. Their organization and preparation were impeccable. Drinks flowed all night, guests were happy, and they never ran out of anything. They were constantly one step ahead. Beyond their professionalism, Ro, Cara, and Devo are genuinely wonderful people. They are friendly, funny, engaging, and have the kind of personalities that instantly put guests at ease. They helped keep the energy up, interacted with everyone, and even assisted with cleanup. It felt like having trusted friends who also happened to be incredible event professionals. They took so much stress off my plate and allowed me to actually enjoy my own party. That's priceless. We are already looking forward to having them back for our Halloween party again this year. Thank you, Ro, Cara, and Devo, for making our event such a success. You are truly amazing, and we can't wait to work with you again! read more

We hired Bar Ro'd for my daughter's beach wedding and we're so glad we did! It was so easy to make arrangements. They designed signature cocktails based on our theme and the happy couple's preferences, created a beautiful custom lighted sign for their bar, and provided exceptional service at a cocktail hour and reception in two different locations. Devo, Debrah and Ro were very professional and served everyone with a smile. When the time came, cleanup and packout happened quickly and efficiently. We can't recommend them highly enough. read more

Excellent! Ro and Devo created a wonderful experience for my birthday party. This was our first time hiring bartenders for a party, and Ro expertly walked me through all of the considerations and offered helpful suggestions. Ultimately, we decided to hire Bar Ro'd since they would take care of nearly everything and enable me and my guests to enjoy the evening. Highly recommend this fantastic team. read more

Ro and Devo were an outstanding add to our party at our home. They over delivered and everyone at the party wanted to take their card to use them for their next event. I would highly recommend them to anyone. read more

Bar Ro'd is the absolute best! Ro was amazing at communicating in a timely manner. Everything went smoothly at the event and their service as well as their personality made the event a success. Highly recommend! read more

I contacted this company to provide bartending services for a birthday party. Not only were they responsive and easy to work with, they offered unique touches (like an option for a custom bar insert) that took the event to the next level! They provided everything needed to take the thought of drinks all kinds (alcoholic and non alcoholic) off of my mind. I would choose to work with them again and again! read more

What can I say but WOW! Ro and each and every member her team (including Devo, Adam, Alison, and Debrah) truly went above and beyond for our event this past weekend, in more ways than one. Everyone was so wonderful and easy to work with, super friendly and gregarious (just exactly the sort of fun and positive energy you want at an event!), executed everything we asked of them to a tee (including a list of five pretty complicated specialty cocktails)... and even beyond that, throughout the night they often proactively asked about and worked on things that we honestly wouldn't have even thought of ourselves, but that ended up being SO helpful. They were seriously so incredible, my husband and I couldn't stop talking about how great they were. I feel like they took our event from an 8 to 10! My husband and I hired Bar Ro'd for bartending and food service for our formal anniversary party/vow renewal with approximately 70 guests. We coordinated the event ourselves with no planner or coordinator or caterer. We cooked ourselves, had family members cook, and got items from several different restaurants--putting all of it together ourselves--and to be honest, we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into doing it this way. Up until the moment Bar Ro'd arrived, it was looking like things might be headed for disaster... but Bar Ro'd totally saved the day. They helped with EVERYTHING, well beyond what we had imagined when hiring them, and the dinner (passed hors d'oeuvres then a buffet) ended up going *perfectly.* I feel like I haven't focused enough on the "bar" part yet, given that's their specialty--the bar was amazing. My husband and I wanted the drink menu for this event to have all of our favorite cocktails: a pomegranate mojito, a Moscow mule, a boulevardier, a strawberry margarita, and a gin fizz with fresh rosemary and egg white. Bar Ro'd was totally game for this menu from the start, provided everything we needed, and made each of the cocktails beautifully throughout the night. The bar was a HIT! The actual physical bar itself, actually, was also a hit -- the custom bar front panel looked amazing, and even more so when the sun set and it lit up! All in all, hiring Bar Ro'd was one of the absolute best decisions we made for this event. And, like, we made a lot of great decisions--it was a really cool event ;) But seriously, Bar Ro'd took it to another level. I would hire them again in a heartbeat, and I will be recommending them to anyone and everyone looking for bar services (or event staffing in general). Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU, Ro, Devo, Adam, Alison, and Debrah -- you were all amazing, my husband and I are incredibly grateful! read more

Where do I even begin?! Ro and Devo are phenomenal! I hired Bar RO'D as a surprise to my husband for his graduation celebration this past weekend. Prior to the party, it was super easy to communicate all the details with them. I provided my own alcohol and they let me know that it was not a problem. I also requested signature drinks, which they made to perfection! This is my second time working with Bar RO'D and and I am just as pleased with the service as I was nearly 4 years ago when they did our wedding reception. I encourage anyone reading this to hire them if you would like that "WOW" factor at your event. They are definitely worth it and they truly roll out the red carpet for you! P.S. Our guests are still raving about the bar! LOL read more

Ro and Devo are nothing short of spectacular. They will customize everything to you and your guest. They don't push services that you don't need and put all the control in the customer's hands - guiding you along the way. It was a pleasure to work with them. From the contract to the clean-up, top-notch. Both Rol and Devo are warm, friendly, outgoing and make all of your guest feel like they've known them forever. My guest loved interacting with them. I can't say enough about Bar Ro'd and very much look forward to using them again. They are worth every dime!!! read more

I am a little embarrassed to say that I very often read reviews online before I buy anything but I hardly ever take the time to write one! However, this time, I thought it was really important to highlight how great and above and beyond the service was that Ro and Devo provided for my event on April 6, 2024, which was a memorial service for my wife, who passed away at a young age from pancreatic cancer. The event was incredibly important to me because I wanted to honor my wife's memory with a special service. I planned to serve light refreshments after the service and also had an idea for serving a specific cocktail, but I wasn't quite sure how to execute on it. After looking around at different places, I came across BAR RO'D and filled out the form for a phone call consultation. From the beginning of that phone call to the eventual clean up after the event, I can honestly say that Ro and Devo delivered on what they promised and were the pinnacle example of professionalism. I was initially worried about serving a cocktail before noon, since it was a memorial service and I didn't want it to be boozy, but they were confident that they could make it classy and they absolutely did. They were caring and considerate and went out of their way to help me achieve the special event that I envisioned. They helped make such a beautiful memory for me and my kids and our friends and our family and I am extremely grateful. And of course, it would not be a complete review without saying that the special spiced pineapple cocktail that Ro and Devo created was absolutely delicious! And they went above and beyond with making a special printout detailing my wife's story behind the drink. They were also thoughtful in the planning stages to suggest and include other beverages like soda, juice boxes, and water for kids and those that did not or could not partake in the pre-noon alcohol. Everyone that I spoke to at the event was extremely complimentary about everything and I would highly recommend the BAR RO'D services to anyone for any special occasion. read more

I absolutely loved Ro! From the time I contacted her about my wedding to the day of..such a pleasant experience! This was my favorite part when it came to planning! My wedding was amazing! Debo, Adam and Allison were awesome! My guest said the bar was awesome and in point! This was da best!!! You won't go wrong with Ro! read more

Simply outstanding!!! Very responsive, timely and fun. Ro and Devo were great to work with, super nice and TRUE professionals. I used Bar Ro'd for a Halloween party in my back yard, the set up was gorgeous and Marisa and Adam did a smashing job! Fun was had by all. The mocktails and signature Halloween drink was created by Adam and those guys truly made sure everyone was taken care of, especially me. They even dressed up in costumes! These guys are my guys going forward and I really look forward to working with them next year!!!! I have absolutely no hesitation at all hiring Bar Ro'd again and again and again, neither should anyone needing their services. read more

We hired Bar Ro'd for our wedding party with 120 guests, on the 2nd floor of a gorgeous old home in DC (read: no service elevator), and we would GLADLY recommend them to anyone. Ro has this stuff down to a science. We felt like she was personally invested in making our day special and seamless. The service was excellent, punctual, friendly. She was even willing to bend over backward AND refund our payment when we had a unique challenge with the venue--something most companies wouldn't even consider doing. Eventually, the issue was ironed out, and everything proceeded without a hitch. It just showed us that we made the right choice in hiring Bar Ro'd. Bar Ro'd is quality. Don't pass them up. read more

Every party needs a hype team...and BAR RO'D is it! We have hired Ro, Devo, and team for two events and will definitely be using their services again in the future. From start to finish the professionalism and quality of service is stellar. Ro called before the event to review details and everything was perfectly executed. No detail was forgotten including a signature cocktail for us and mocktail for the kids. My guests were thoroughly impressed! Thank you BAR RO'D for another amazing experience! read more

Look no further, Ro and Devo are outstanding!! From my first inquiry throughout the entire planning process to the day of the event they are phenomenal to work with! They are accommodating and responsive so you never feel worried about anything. The package we created was everything and more to host the perfect bar setting for our party. Their actual set up is so professional looking it really ads to the decor and overall vibe of the event. All of our guests were very impressed! I am a bartender myself and was extremely happy with their service and cocktail making skills! After everything I felt like I just wanted them to stay and continue hanging out with us, they are so kind and so much fun! I will never use another service in this area and highly recommend them! Can't wait to have another event to see them again! read more

From start to finish I had the best experience with Bar RO'D! Ro was immediately responsive to my initial inquiry and set up a time to chat to get more details about my event - a 40th birthday party for my husband. She was so flexible and really ensured the event would be exactly what I was looking for. The day of the party everything was perfect- Ro and Devo arrived an hour early for set up, the bartenders made sure every guest was well taken care of with delicious drinks and went above and beyond with the clean up effort. I would recommend Bar RO'D to anyone looking for a professional bartending service to to take their event to the next level! read more

We recently had Bar RO'D as bartender for our wedding. They were the most responsive vendor we had. Every email we sent out get a responded within 24 hours, the complex requirement by our venue was satisfied immediately. All the drinks Bar RO'D selected for us was a huge hit to our guests. Ro is a very cheerful person and a pleasure to work with too. Highly recommend, especially if you want a vendor that provide great service and no stress for your big day. read more

Ro and Devo of Bar Ro'D were fantastic. As someone who works in business, you can tell that the owners care about good service and delivering a solid product. We were in a tough bind. My boss had called an audible and decided we needed an open bar at a party we were hosting. And the party was the day after tommorow. And it was already almost midnight. With no one else responding, Ro emailed me right away when I sent my request for a proposal and we spoke on the phone the very next morning. The whole thing gave me anxiety and Ro eased my mind with her professionalism, competence, and flexibility. Our event went great and was a HIT! Whenever I need a bartender or server for an event, I will ONLY Use Bar Ro'D!! read more

Don't look any further. Bar Ro'd is the only option to consider. Top Shelf. I've worked with Ro, Devo, & Team multiple times and it's always flawless. There is nothing to think about. They set up, provide an excellent evening for your guests, and clean up without a trace. They're responsive, professional, and enjoyable. I highly recommend that you hire them and sit back to enjoy your event as much as your guests do. Adam and Tom were the bartenders for my event. Highly recommend working with both of them. They were fantastic. 5 stars is all I am able to give, but they deserve 10. My event was a couple weeks ago and I am still having friends reach out to tell me what a great time they had. All thanks to Bar Ro'd. I didn't do anything! ;-) read more

We honestly could not ask for a more perfect vendor. After seeing Bar Ro'd in action at several pop-up venues, we decided to use them as the liquor vendor at our wedding. Not only did they underprice the venue's own liquor catering, but Ro made an effort to get to know us personally, helping us to craft a truly one-of-a-kind experience. Event details: gay wedding with 92 guests over a six-hour period of time which included pre-ceremony mingle, cocktail hour, seated dinner, and outdoor reception. Bar Ro'd provided us with a total of three bars. Their largest bar went outside, with a custom skin created just for our wedding using our styling/theme, and two smaller bars went inside on opposite sides of the dining area, to ensure no one had to walk too far to get a drink! Her bartenders were on point all night long, keeping an eye on our guests to make sure everyone had the perfect drink at the perfect time. From the first day of planning through the final cleanup, Ro magically seemed to know the right amount of engagement. She and her team listened effectively and was able to provide effective recommendations and explanations for things whenever we needed it--yet she made it seem like it was all our ideas! There were several things which my spouse and I hadn't thought of to discuss with Ro before the event, yet when situations arose, Ro and her staff intuitively reacted and effortlessly kept things moving without a hitch. Things which set Bar Ro'd apart: --The planning process was very personalized. Ro had just the right amount of pre-planned things to work off, yet we felt like everything the did was unique just for us. We didn't feel trapped by "Choose Package A, B, or C" --The entire relationship was collaborative, where Ro took our vision and elevated it --Painless. On the day of, when chaos is in full swing, Ro and her staff were completely self-sufficient and required no handholding. They are truly good at their craft, and professional in all ways We're already trying to think of the next event when we can work with Bar Ro'd! read more

We hired Bar Ro'd for our wedding and had a great time! Although we started with a few hiccups (miscommunication about the payment dates and arriving late to the venue) they addressed the issues and ensured that the actual event went without a hitch. I requested not to have the mobile bar since our venue provided two bars and we didn't want to take up more space. Bar Ro'd was very accommodating making sure that it fit their setup as well. They worked very quickly and diligently setting up and moving between two bars from the ceremony and reception. One of my DIY items got accidentally sent home with them, but they drove out to my house to drop it off! It's evident that they love their job and are very busy (expect a day or two between emails), giving you peace of mind that they'll do a great job. read more

Absolutely amazing! We hired Bar Ro'd to bartend and provide food service for my wife's 40th birthday party. Ro and her team were professional, fun and made our event special. We used this company recently for a backyard party for 40 people. The bartenders, Carlos and Adam, did a terrific job. They arrived on time and were ready to go before guests arrived. They were friendly and accommodating to guests, helped us set up because we were running late, and regularly walked around removing empty glasses and bottles so the tables continued to look nice. I will definitely use Bar Ro'd again. read more

Ro's service was absolutely amazing... not just one of the best vendors we used for our wedding, but probably the best value of any service of this scale I ever used. Not only was BAR RO'D Mobile Bartending affordable and easy to schedule, it flawlessly served our event. My guests enjoyed every drink they could think of, and for a fraction of the price I would have paid at other venues. Definitely try to figure out how to take advantage of the unique and exceptional service Ro and her team offer. Prior to the event, Ro asked me a few key questions to make sure I got what I wanted... I was doing a party in lieu of a rehearsal dinner, and she was able to figure out what I wanted very quickly. During a busy time, it was very convenient to have a vendor who "got it," and responded quickly and concisely. The day of, Ro showed up early, helped me fix a problem with the site's bar, and set up with time to spare. She even helped me with the wine selection! I can't recommend this service enough. read more

Ro, I don't know where to begin with the level of professionalism, service and care you put into planning our company event. We have worked with quite a few vendors and you definitely went above and beyond to make our event stand out. We received so many compliments on the presentation of the bar, the quality of liquor, and how delicious the drinks were. In addition, the mini menu you made, so all guests knew what was being offered, was a nice touch (especially with how you added our company colors). All in all, our event was a hit, and we owe you and Devo many thanks. We have already looked at dates through the end of the year so we can reserve your services. We look forward to seeing you in September for our next event and December for our Holiday party. Sincerely, Portia read more

Absolutely fabulous experience. Ro's team brought two bars for an engagement party at our home, and they were absolutely perfect. Visually attractive set-ups (one custom, one blank), great looking bar set-up with alcohol I provided, and the service was top-notch. All of our guests commented on how lovely Ro, Trang and Devo were, and how thoughtful. One guest wanted very weak drinks, and each bartender remembered that and kept the groom-to-be appropriately sober. Have gotten so many compliments on how Ro's team "elevated" our at-home party. Thanks! read more

I cannot say enough positive things about BAR RO'D. Our experience from start to finish was fantastic. BAR RO'D makes the experience personal and fun! We had so so many changes and stressful moments planning and then re-planning a wedding for our son and daughter-in-law during COVID. Ro and her staff were patient, flexible, calm, and flat out a blast to work with! They listened to every one of our needs, created a fantastic menu of drinks, provided everything we could have possibly needed before, during, and after the event, and went above and beyond when we really needed some support. We recently used Bar Ro'd for our 2016 New Year's Eve Party. Suffice it to say that I will only use Bar Ro'd in the future. Ro, Devo, and Carolina were OUTSTANDING! The service was bar-none (pardon the pun), their level of professionalism, knowledge, friendliness, and willingness to help out and make sure everything went without a hitch was truly admirable and greatly appreciated. Not only did I find them top-notch, many of my guests commented over and over again about their professionalism and how much fun they were to have at the party. We didn't want them to leave!
