We hired Ro, Cara, and Devo for our Halloween party last year, and they completely exceeded our expectations!!From the very beginning, they took the time to understand our guest count, helped determine exactly how much beer, wine, liquor, mixers, and supplies we would need, and even created a custom cocktail menu for the event. They thoughtfully included delicious mocktail options for our pregnant guests, which was such a wonderful touch. They arrived with absolutely everything--bar setup, cups, napkins, supplies, garnishes, and all the details I would have otherwise spent countless hours coordinating. Their organization and preparation were impeccable. Drinks flowed all night, guests were happy, and they never ran out of anything. They were constantly one step ahead. Beyond their professionalism, Ro, Cara, and Devo are genuinely wonderful people. They are friendly, funny, engaging, and have the kind of personalities that instantly put guests at ease. They helped keep the energy up, interacted with everyone, and even assisted with cleanup. It felt like having trusted friends who also happened to be incredible event professionals. They took so much stress off my plate and allowed me to actually enjoy my own party. That's priceless. We are already looking forward to having them back for our Halloween party again this year. Thank you, Ro, Cara, and Devo, for making our event such a success. You are truly amazing, and we can't wait to work with you again!

Corcoran handled both our catering and all of our rentals--and absolutely nailed it. The food was exceptional. We're still getting texts from guests saying it was the best wedding food they've ever had--some even said it was the best event food, period! We got compliments on everything from the starter salad to the passed hors d'oeuvres. I wasn't initially excited about the beer corn fritter, but it ended up being my favorite bite of the night. But what truly set our experience apart was working with Jordan. I honestly can't say enough positive things about her. She became like a second planner for us--offering expert guidance, always responding quickly and thoroughly, and saying yes to every single request with grace and positivity. I had so much trust in her judgment, and she never steered us wrong. One week before the wedding, in a moment of pre-wedding panic, I decided I wanted to change our napkin fold. Jordan didn't just talk me through options--she went to the showroom, set up our exact table settings, tested multiple options, photoshopped in our decor, and sent over a mini lookbook... only for me to choose the original one. That's the level of above-and-beyond care she provided. On the day of the wedding, I shared a special moment with Jordan about my grandmother, who had passed before the wedding. She held my hand, we shed a tear together, and I felt so supported and comforted by her presence. It meant the world to me. We will absolutely be recommending Corcoran--and specifically Jordan--to all of our friends getting married, as well as to colleagues planning corporate events at 101 Constitution, where we got married. If you're looking for a caterer and rental partner who will care deeply about your event and help bring your vision to life, choose Corcoran. And request Jordan!

As a person who has experience with event planning, I knew I just needed someone who wasn't me or my spouse to coordinate some of those last minute details and to keep track of all of the pieces that go into a event (it also helped to have a professional to talk my wedding crazed spouse through stuff and stop bothering me about it). I am NOT one of those women who have been planning their wedding day since I was a little girl, so it was refreshing to talk mostly logistics and best practices without feeling like a bridezilla (I'm looking at you, Macy's registry who kept trying to register me for frilly plates that I didn't want). Sarah met with me for coffee to walk me through the range of day of coordinator versus full wedding planning packages, and I felt instantly comfortable with her. Since we were approximately six weeks out from the wedding, we did end up going with day-of coordination. Sam was my day of coordinator (with an assist from Kate), and they did such an excellent job. Prior to the event, Sam definitely talked me through one of my freakout moments when the venue "unapproved" our seating chart the day before and wanted to exile a table to 150 feet away from everyone else. Sam ensured that we stayed on schedule and that I had food, and remained professional and calm throughout the whole event. Seriously, I cannot recommend Pollyanna Events highly enough! Note: Pollyanna Events explicitly states that they're feminist on their yelp business description, and their literature with their package pricing was literally one of the first wedding industry items where I saw LGBT couples, interracial couples, and older couples. I was also determined to try to direct my wedding business to women owned or minority owned businesses, and I'm so happy I found such an excellent one.

She interfaced with the caterer, handled audio/visual for our reception program, and the whole time made sure we and our guests enjoyed ourselves. I interviewed two planners, and I knew I wanted Vicky right away because I was confident that she could get the job done. She didn't want to be my best friend--she wanted to help us achieve the wedding of our dreams while staying under budget. When we were deciding on what services we wanted her to take care of, she showed us this very detailed list of services, kind of like an a la carte menu. We wanted to keep our wedding planner services at $3000 I think, and so we basically picked and chose which things we wanted her to do. SO SIMPLE. No negotiating necessary. After that, she made it feel like our wedding was the only wedding she was working on. Such attention to detail, with a balance of her suggestions and getting our input so that it would still be our wedding. She was honest and straightforward about what she thought were bad ideas, which made us trust in the things that she was excited about and thought were great ideas. Vicky just has so much experience that--really--every little tiny detail was taken care of, so that on the day of our wedding, all we had to do was get our hair and makeup done and show up at the wedding. (My husband and the groomsmen were actually bored the day of our wedding!) The weeks before the wedding, my friends--who know that I get stressed out managing dinner reservations--were amazed to see me so stress-free! Lastly, and maybe I should've opened with this, as soon as we booked all of our vendors, I knew that the cost of having Vicky as our wedding planner paid for itself. The money and time we saved using Vicky's contacts (especially DJ, caterer and florist) was significant. SIGNIFICANT. Please consider Vicky for your event planning services! She is amazing!

I just needed someone to help me execute the day of and to coordinate with all my vendors. I found Yosira via Instagram using the hashtag (I think - #dmvweddingdayofcoordinator or something like that). To provide some color, my wedding was scheduled for October 5th, 2019 and I started searching for a day of coordinator around middle of August 2019. I did not have the luxury of time and I really appreciated Yosira's quick response. I reached out to her using her website. I received a response from her within 24 hours and she scheduled a call to discuss within a few days. After our call, I received an invoice. So, between the day I reached out and getting an invoice was probably 5 - 7 days max. It was very efficient process, which I really appreciated. Working with Yosira was a breeze! She was amazing to work with. She was very thorough, understood my vision and executed on my vision impeccably. She has a great eye for detail. She asked really great questions and thought about things I didn't even remember / consider. She helped me with finding food and drink vendors. The wedding was perfectly time managed. All my vendors knew where to be and what time to show up. She had a very structured timeline that she shared with me and communicated to the vendors. She went above and beyond on my expectations and I highly recommend her!
