The instructor clearly knows what he's talking about and is more than happy to facilitate actual learning instead of just talking at you for two weeks. That said, the place lacks A LOT of polish you'd expect to get for the $400ish price tag. Only one of the sinks in the school actually works and the handles run into the bottom of the bar when you try to turn the water on. Bottles and other resources are often not filled or prepared before students arrive, meaning the materials needed to practice are often low or not available as students actually find themselves in need of them. The practice sour mix was made with pinesol, which was just revolting to work with, and it's in a lot of the drinks you'll learn. The textbook has spelling and formatting issues on just about every other page & the instructor has you correcting recipes at the back of the book by hand every single class period, and the "job placement service" is just a private Instagram where he takes screen captures from bars and restaurants around the Baltimore area and re-posts them. Marcus couldn't even print the certificates of completion for my class without there being a noticeable skew to the text. Everything just smacks of not really caring about presentation, which is ironic given the kind of work it's supposed to be preparing you for. I've got an interview later this week for a bar tending position, so we'll see if this actually helps, but in my opinion, this program walks the line between being a scam and not. I took a class like this before when I was living out of state, and I have friends that took the MD bar tending academy class when it was still in business, so I have some experience with what this sort of program should be offering. This isn't bad, but it's just a far cry from what it could, and arguably should, be. Also, Marcus desperately needs to brush his teeth, drink more water, and maybe pop a couple of altoids.

This year I didn't want to deal with running out of things, bringing ice, etc. I will say we had a BIT of a responsiveness issue in the beginning trying to engage with them, but once we got Mimi on the phone, she was just fantastic. I LOVED the staff that was sent to run our event. All three were fun, professional, hardworking and made some great drinks! We did run out of wine with about an hour left to the event (and we only had beer and wine and two signature cocktails) which was super disappointing, but we made the best of it. I would 100% hire them again, especially if we got the same bartenders and they brought extra wine! The signature cocktails and mocktails they put together were fantastic. Mimi won't let you down!

We started throwing in leagues here at end of 2022 and have been enjoying it since. There's bowling football (kinda), darts, and occasionally corn hole. In the summer, there's food trucks and a restaurant has opened at the end of the parking lot. The drink variety is pretty great with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages along with snacks. You get coaching when you go in for a group to help you learn how to throw and get to play a variety of games. If you have enough time, you can try throwing the big axe. What I like most about Urban is that the employees are super welcoming and the axe community is too if you decide to join a league. You can learn to tweak your throw from a variety of different people and hone in on your technique. You don't feel bad when you're first not great at throwing since so many people want to help. There are various groups that host fundraising events and charities that collaborate like BARCS and Baltimore Humane Society. Give Urban a try!

It is not an exaggeration to say that Drinks By DELANO is among the most impressive firms in this space that I've have ever had the pleasure of hiring for any event - large or small. Their detailed and customer-focused approach to every aspect of your event , from pre-planning to final execution, was simply superb and far beyond anything I've experienced to date. DELANO, the CEO, for example, even went so far as to inquire as to the various nationalities of our guests as the spanned several European Countries, so that he could offer traditional drink specialties. Upon the conclusion of the event, not only did they leave the venue spotless, they even assisted the cleaning crew that we retained! Just simply amazing service. Most importantly, our guests absolutely raved about the taste, quality, and speed of service for the cocktails, beer and wine. My Line Sisters and I wanted to come up with a unique way to celebrate our anniversary. We had done the usual dinner and movie, sip & paint, wine tastings, and restaurant hopping. To commemorate this year, we decided to go with TMMC and it was the best choice we could have made. We booked a private event with them. We had the opportunity to select our mystery based on the number of participants. We opted to do a one actor mystery centering around a masquerade ball. The actor arrived early to our private venue with such a fun and positive attitude. He took the time to understand our dynamics which was helpful in designating who would play which roles. We were provided props that included costumes and information about the role we were chosen to play. Please note, we are a chatty, free spirited group of ladies that love to fellowship. The actor managed to go with the flow and keep us somewhat focused and on mission...which was to solve the murder. We had a five-star good time. We all left with plans to do it again. If you want to do something outside the box with a get together of friends, colleagues, or family, I highly recommend TMMC. I wish I could show pics of the fun we had. Happy murder solving!
