This has been reflected in Wimbledon when the restaurant openings continue apace with Crepe Affaire, Chichimanga and Oki opening their doors in the last few months Oki is run by the same owners as my favourite local Japanese restaurant Noodle Foodle, located further down the Broadway. It's good to see them bring their brand of fresh, affordable Japanese good into the main shopping area of Wimbledon Broadway The menu is similar to that at Noodle Foodle, covering sushi, tempura, noodles and starters but with the addition of some Korean dishes. The prices are generally a pound or 2 more expensive than their counterparts at Noodle Foodle but still value for money My sister and were excited to try Oki out and we popped in for lunch after church. We were recognised by one of the regular staff at Noodle Foodle and we were the grateful recipients of one complimentary dish of fresh healthy wakame salad lent some nuttiness by sesame seeds We went with some old favourites. Dragon roll is topped with the richest, most unctuous unagi (eel) and is a mouthful of bliss. We also had some salmon sashimi and the plate had some lovely plump sweet moist salmon I like chicken karaage and it has been a notable absentee from Noodle Foodle's menu. So, it was a lovely surprise to see it available at Oki. Little cubes of thigh meat deep fried in well seasoned batter arrived, dressed with a piquant chilli sauce As Oki offered Korean food, we felt obliged to try some and ordered a beef dolsot bibimbap. This is a Korean all in one dish with rice, beef and vegetables served in a very hot stone bowl - you can hear the sizzle as it arrives at the table. A healthy dose of Korean chilli sauce and then you mix it all together and let it cook a little. It was a good bibimbap and I was scraping out every last bit of crackly, crispy rice from the bottom of the bowl This is a most worthy addition to the dining options in Wimbledon Broadway and they also do delivery. Definitely the best Japanese at this end of town. Oki is definitley okey dokey!

The average meal per person here including a cocktail, starter, mains + service charges can go anywhere between £40 - £80 (depending if you get the steak or not). It's not the cheapest place to have steaks. I've had better steaks else where, but I do enjoy the service and the restaurant as a whole. Today I am having the 200g Cheese Burger - £13.50, comes with chips. They forgot to ask how I wanted my beef cooked, so it came well done. They do serve decent food, I wouldn't say it's mind blowing but it's neither bad. Not much to complain about. I would bring friends and family, they have a huge dining area. Its kids friendly and they also serve a halal menu. There's also 5pm - 9pm happy hours on selected cocktails, but it's only available on the bottom floor/ bar area.

From this point on things went downhill VERY SLOWLY (I say slowly as that is how the rest of our order was brought out). We sat there for about 40 minutes after the starter tray was removed. During this time, another party of 5 people came in and sat right behind us, ordered, had their entire meal brought out, and our order was still not brought out. Mind you, we did not order anything special. The the manager walked by and asked me "Is everything ok?" I said NO our food was not there and our drink cups were both empty. I asked for a refill on my wife's Coke and my Water, he did have the drinks refilled and had the chops to actually ring out the refill on the coke BEFORE refilling the drink. He did nothing else to check on the other issues or even offer to see what the problem was. Our original server was totally missing in action. One other server cleared the starter plate and then another brought the meal when it finally came. Just terrible service! Near the end, our original server came back and brought the bill. I paid via my Amex and she asked if I wanted to add a tip. I said "No, not this time", to which she responded "I did kind of leave you stranded for a while". Mind you, I don't like not tipping. I know they make their living from the tips, but when the service was this terrible, I just could not bring myself to tip. This is the first time in my life I did not tip a server, so that should tell you how bad the service and management staff was. Then if all this was not enough, on my Amex I was billed twice for the meal. I would tell anyone that is looking for someplace in Westfield to eat, do NOT eat at The Meat Co.

My first visit was better (they had sliced mango then), but the second visit was good enough to warrant a third in the near future. Brazilian rodizio is--hands down--my favourite food, taking me to the pinnacle of meat-eating nirvana. I have been to more churrascaria joints than I can count on all my fingers and toes, carving and gnawing my way across the US and South America in pursuit of the perfect Picanha. Did I find it at Nabrasa? No, if I am honest. It wasn't perfect, but it was quite good--and impossible to find elsewhere as a halal option. Before I get into my experience here, I want to clarify something for anyone with complaints about the salt content. Salt and garlic are virtually the only ingredients in true rodizio seasoning. Not just salt, but coarse ROCK salt, encrusted across the meat and only lightly undusted with the sweep of a hand before putting the meat over coals. It is also blanketed in fat to keep the meat from drying out. This is where the halal factor sort of precariously balances on its knife tip. Nabrasa does a very good job of attempting to circumvent dryness and proportion the sodium against meat that is very hard to find in halal form, let alone graded for rodizio (and without the traditional method of draping fatty pork over cuts to keep them succulent). For this, I applaud them. Here's my breakdown: The good: The chicken, sausage, and Picanha (ask for the fatty bits) are amazing. In general, the beef dishes are winners, and the rodizio pineapple is perfect. From the salad bar: the olives, mushrooms, and cherry tomatoes are excellent. The not-so-good: The lamb is pretty heavy in the dry zone and sometimes it is evident that meat has been circulating and reheated multiple times. I stick with the beef and sausage, but my husband who doesn't eat either wasn't impressed with the lamb. Also, despite a heavy list of meats offered on the paper placemat, several weren't in circulation either time I visited. The bad: The removal of mango from the salad selection shouldn't have happened. There has to be a cool, fresh option to offset the sodium. If mango is too expensive for a buffet, at least put out some decent sliced oranges--anything. The mocktails are wildly overpriced. And lastly, have a Brazilian dipping sauce! Nabrasa is the first rodizio I have ever been to without a basic chimichuri sauce, which is, frankly, a staple and an absolute shame (tsk, tsk). As a halal venue I give Nabrassa 4 stars. In reality, if it was truly up against its non-halal counterparts, it would be in the 2.5 star range. But it is halal, so four stars it gets.

Food is amazing if you love meat. All you can eat. Do not go…read morethere if you think you like brazilian food but you do not have any idea what a rodizio is!
