TL;DR Delicious, and very accomodating!…read more I went for my work's Christmas do. Food was from a set menu and waiters gave us several carafes of water, which were constantly refilled. There were also jugs of coke and lemonade which they would walk around and pour for us. All this was free, but we had to pay for alcohol. A few tried to set individual tabs for themselves However, there were roughly 20 of us and 8 individuals wanting individual tabs. That would have been a headache for the staff, so we all ended up paying for each drink of our own as we ordered it (Seemed fair to me). Heads up if you don't drink: They do a big enough range of mocktails for them to be listed on a page! They sounded good and I want to try one next time. We only had a set menu but it was all delicious (And even the stuff I personally wasn't keen on was good quality)! There was a good range of vegetarian and meaty stuff and it was all surprisingly filling. Also, I got to try some new stuff. One of the colleagues I sat next to is pregnant. She gave the food a good go, but a lot of it was too spicy for her although she said how lovely it all was. The waiter asked if she wanted some milk or yoghurt, and brought out poppadoms and mixed-veg bhajis for her ( as well as a big bowl of yoghurt) and gave her ice cream instead of the dessert we were given. She even asked for his name and a business card so she could recommend the place to her friends and family. The service was very attentive and kind. I had a Kingfisher (£3-4)and a margarita (£7). Good value for booze, I think. All in all, I'd happily suggest this place for a group do! Here's the set menu we had (In no real order and possibly excluding stuff I forgot about): Starter: Poppdoms with mango chutney; soy sauce with garlic and ginger; minty yoghurty stuff and a spicy thing. Chicken tikka (Possibly my favourite thing) Strips of some chunky fibrous vegetable in a mildly spicy coating (I believe it was potato) Firm paneer (A bit like tofu) in a sticky sweet coating with peppers Little poppadoms with chickpeas, tiny sprinkles of what looked like noodles and yoghurt and minty-yoghurty stuff and sweet sauce of some kind. They were an odd mixture of sweet and spicy. I found those a challenge to my tastebuds but they were well-made and well-presented Lamb rolls Plain naan White rice Coronas and Buds that came from nowhere (I discovered I'm not keen on Bud!) Veg manchuria A chicken curry A curry in a spicy green sauce Limoncello shots with a lime in (Which I thought were tequila shots) n An Asian dessert with a thin, sweet yellow custard and little balls that had the texture of soggy sponge but might have been paneer. Blimey! These Nandos chickens have been doing a good impression of rabbits and have been breeding…read morelike mad. Over 70 Nandos restaurants are listed on Yelp in and around the London area alone. The chain has blossomed thanks to a simple formula and fixed menu with easy cooking, limited staff service required and pitching itself as slightly more upmarket than regular fast food joints but keeping prices relatively low for a meal out. The main attraction is the chicken, which is offered at 4 'heat settings', ranging from no heat at all lemon and herb all the way to 'don't be stupid'. Being from Malaysia, I am used to chilli heat in my food and even the 2 chilli setting was making my eyes water. I have a new respect for the Portugese ability to eat hot food after visiting Nandos and getting a flavour of their peri peri sauce here. There are a few starters on the menu. Main courses are built around the chicken - pieces, burgers, liver with a choice of sides, that are generally filling but nothing special. The sweetcorn is disappointing and often undercooked to point of being unpleasant to chew through. The desserts look pre-made at a central site. You grab a table, note the number of the table and order at the till. The food then delivered to the table. Cutlery, serviettes and sauces are all self-service as are the soda drinks if you opt for those. I'm only awarding 3 stars as I find the chicken pieces not very generous in size, the sides and desserts being disappointing and the fact that my feet usually take me to the KFC nearby instead.

It's good to see them bring their brand of fresh, affordable Japanese good into the main shopping area of Wimbledon Broadway The menu is similar to that at Noodle Foodle, covering sushi, tempura, noodles and starters but with the addition of some Korean dishes. The prices are generally a pound or 2 more expensive than their counterparts at Noodle Foodle but still value for money My sister and were excited to try Oki out and we popped in for lunch after church. We were recognised by one of the regular staff at Noodle Foodle and we were the grateful recipients of one complimentary dish of fresh healthy wakame salad lent some nuttiness by sesame seeds We went with some old favourites. Dragon roll is topped with the richest, most unctuous unagi (eel) and is a mouthful of bliss. We also had some salmon sashimi and the plate had some lovely plump sweet moist salmon I like chicken karaage and it has been a notable absentee from Noodle Foodle's menu. So, it was a lovely surprise to see it available at Oki. Little cubes of thigh meat deep fried in well seasoned batter arrived, dressed with a piquant chilli sauce As Oki offered Korean food, we felt obliged to try some and ordered a beef dolsot bibimbap. This is a Korean all in one dish with rice, beef and vegetables served in a very hot stone bowl - you can hear the sizzle as it arrives at the table. A healthy dose of Korean chilli sauce and then you mix it all together and let it cook a little. It was a good bibimbap and I was scraping out every last bit of crackly, crispy rice from the bottom of the bowl This is a most worthy addition to the dining options in Wimbledon Broadway and they also do delivery. Definitely the best Japanese at this end of town. Oki is definitley okey dokey!

It sits in the middle of Wimbledon Broadway and has a lot of competition from fast food joints and chain restaurants right around it. The shop is certainly nicer than an average kebab takeaway with a seating area. You can see that the meat for the schwarma kebabs on the spit is made up of strips of proper meat and not just an amorphous lump of goodness knows what. The shish kebabs are also good. The kebabs are washed down with some nice fresh juices. The next time you're trawling round Wimbledon for some fast food, give Flame a try.
