Food For Thought is a cute little cafe on Willesden High Road (it's a 3 minute walk from Willesden Green tube station - not Dollis Hill as it says on the info at the top!) It was renovated fairly recently too, either last year or the year before, so it's really cozy and bright looking now.
The owner is super friendly and chatty and is in there serving customers himself every day. It's nice to pop in for a sarnie and be recognized and have a little chat!
Felix's review is wrong - it's not a veggie cafe and never has been!!!! :) I myself have eaten a yummy lemon chicken, avocado and rocket sandwich there before....Italian chicken salad...etc. They have chicken, bacon, tuna etc on the menu...
Things I have eaten there more than once that I would definitely recommend are the 'Nick's Feast' jacket potato (quite a cute idea that customers can come up with their own combinations of fillings for sarnies or potatoes and get it named after them on the menu) which has LOADS of hummous, rocket, olives, sundried tomatoes, grilled aubergine and and and...I can't remember what else is on it, but it's big, filling and yummy.
The salad boxes are a good deal - for £2 you get a box with a selection of salads - all the usual lettuce, tomato etc, then whatever else they have there, depending on the day - olives, grilled aubergine, sundried tomatoes, potato salad, pasta salad, hummous etc. For £3 you can also add chicken.
The make a decent cup of coffee - not the best in the world, but by no means bad.
The homemade lemon cake is also DELICIOUS and only £1 for a big chunk of a slice.
A cheap and cheerful, clean and friendly little place that is an asset to the neighbourhood.
They also do catering, here's their website for more info: www.food4thoughtlondon.co.uk read more
