    5 pepper chicken - yummy!
    Hugo P.

Fantastic food! Southeast asian food, with a rich mix of dishes and flavours! The sweet chilli sauce that came with the crackers was just irresistible. The 5 spice chicken was amazing - do order the mega combo dish that will be enough for 2 with nice started. We had the spring rolls that come with instructions - funny and yummy! This banana tree only doesn't get 5 stars because the service was not perfect. It was good though, but not perfect... Amazing food and we will be back soon!!!

Great place for Thai food which to me is on a par with the much more expensive Busaba Eathai. It was busy when I got there 7.30 on a Wednesday night but we didn't have to wait long for a table. Food is served quickly and is excellent value for money. I had a delicious fish dish with basil leaves and was very surprised at the generous portions of deep fried fish. It's only a five minute walk away from Clapham Junction station and as others have said, beats Wagamama big time

Fast service and delicious food. Definitely pleased with the quality of the food. Nice atmosphere and menu as well!

Egg fried rice and beef pad thai. So so tasty!

A definite favourite. I have been here 3 times in the last year and I am sure to return many times in the future! This staff are friendly, the service is good and most importantly the food is delicious. Great for me as it is halal so I am normally spoilt for choice whenever I look at the menu. The beef pad Thai is my favourite dish. The most recent time I went I tried the sautéed beef and dark soya noodles to try something different. It was very nice but the beef was saltier than expected and mixed better with the egg fried rice my friend ordered (we shared most of the food we bought). Overall a great place that also offers lovely fresh juices that are perfect to wash down the meal with. Also highly recommend the sticky wings and chicken dumplings from the starter section. Very tasty!

Found Zheng Chelsea within a short 5-10 min walking distance of our hotel via yelp It looked modern and upscale from pics online and a bit fusion in the style of Malaysian dishes, so we didn't expect too much, gauging from the majority of the customers being non-Asian (sorry but it's usually a pretty accurate measure when evaluating authenticity/flavors of dishes). BUT...we ended up loving every dish we ordered, and while we're far from being an expert in Southeast Asian/Malaysian cuisine, we found every dish to be tasty and perfectly cooked. The crispy beef had a nice light crisp batter but the beef inside was still tender and tasty...often times, this dish results in chewy/tough beef with way too much batter and is mushy instead of nicely crisped. Soya Sauce chicken was with all dark meat chicken (cut up thighs with bones) and we definitely always appreciate restaurants with dark meat chicken in their chicken dishes since we much much much prefer dark meat to white breast meat pieces! Even the Gai lan veggies with oyster sauce was tasty and the stems were not too thick/chewy and tough like many other times when we've had gai lan elsewhere...my fiancé isn't even a huge fan of gai lan but he loves this preparation of it at Zheng Chelsea Ohhh and definitely get the coconut rice, it's quite flavorful and complements most of the dishes on the menu quite well! The decor inside was spotless, nice comfy velvet chairs/booths and it was nice and quiet downstairs vs the much more lively (but also loud) upstairs part. And service was quite good and definitely way above average if compared to the usual Chinese restaurants

For the more leisurely visit, start with sea bream ceviche or go the vegan route Vegetable Lumpia (has nuts). As it was lunch for me, I began with an Ube Latte to drink which was tasty, but you could go for weeks trying various teas: Lemon Verbena, Turmeric Chai, Paradise Punch. And that's only a launching point to the World Beers and Handcrafted Cocktails portion of the menu. The more adventurous will try Batangas Bad Boy (10 year Talisker) or Boracay Dreams (rum, Malibu, coconut cream). But I needed to have a productive second-half of the day, so next time for those. On to the main course. I normally would be all over the "all-time favorite" Pork Hock, but as it was later in the travel week I opted for sea bass. It was a solid choice. The pandan leaf wrap locked in the moisture and flavor, and the soy lime dressing was definitely not for the faint of spicy-heart without adding rice. The noodles looked excellent at the table nearby, picking between chicken, shrimp, vegan, even sardines. Since I needed to be awake for some meetings, dessert wasn't an option this time, but the Banana Turon fritters would fit the bill nicely. Service was friendly and prompt, while still allowing time to dwell and savor. I'll schedule a return on a Friday to enjoy tapas "journey of Filipino flavours".

My friends ordered the Crispy Pata, Sea Bass, and Spring Chicken Adobo. Now, being the herbivore of the group I ordered the roasted butternut squash relleno - a healthy vegan masterpiece. To wrap up our flavor-filled escapade, we shared the calamarsi lime tart, and Maja Blanca. I didn't care for the Maja Blanca, but the calamansi tart was delish. Service was good, and the vibe was fabulous. Overall, I give it 5 stars.

In a related and very lovely gesture, the server brought me a complimentary mutton roll (with chilli ketchup) and said they usually send something on the house for solo diners :) The roll was delicious -- savoury mutton without a strong game-y flavour that went really nicely with the mildly spicy ketchup. I decided to have an order of the Lankan chicken kari paired with a hopper. I did not know what a hopper was before then (let alone seen one), so it was an interesting surprise when I was served this unevenly thick, bowl-shaped rice pancake. Fortunately, I did not go wrong with this choice, as the hopper was so delicious. The light rice-based flavour of the hopper paired so nicely with the rich, slightly spicy curry and the tender and savoury chicken, and I really liked the textural variety of the hopper itself (thicker, spongier base and thinner, crispier sides). The ratio of hopper to curry was not quite right, though, so I ended up ordering another roti to enjoy the remaining half of my curry and chicken. The roti was really delicious -- fluffy on the inside and perfectly crispy on the outside -- and similarly paired super well in carrying the curry flavour. All in all, price point was pretty solid for the quality and amount of food. I thought the hopper was pricier than expected, but conversely the curry was less so -- so overall it all seemed quite reasonable. I would love the chance to come visit again and try more of their deliciously fragrant curry options next time.

For 9 £, or under 12 bucks, one can get a whole lot more lunch than one would get, say from San Francisco. I also found the decor surprisingly pan Asia which is neat. This is one of the approachable places you could get by Westminster Abbey, and given how sad and limited the food choices are around here, I would give it a four star - simply it's within walking distance from work and it's what you'd expect from an Asian fusion restaurant.

So, we just decided to eat at places based on where we were at. Since we were around Westminster Abbey, I looked on Yelp and saw Firecracker. It was a few blocks down from where we were, but since I was planning on going to the Tesco Superstore later, it was actually on the way. We found the door to the restaurant and walked in. The restaurant was actually down the stairs. We walked downstairs and saw more than enough seating. The place was pretty clean, albeit a little darker than expected. Not good for the Yelper who likes to take pictures. LOL! We were greeted and seated promptly. They took our order and we waited for our food. While waiting for our food, we noticed there was a room next to us that had a karaoke party going on. Being the only Filipino on earth that doesn't do karaoke, this wasn't a big deal to me. I do, however, like watching people have fun doing karaoke and it looked like everyone was having a blast. They picked some really good karaoke songs (Living On A Prayer by Bon Jovi, anyone?). The food started coming out now. We started off with some Salt And Pepper Tofu. It came on a bed of veggies and was topped with fried garlic and slice peppers. We devoured everything. In fact, it might have been our favorite dish. For our main course, we essentially had a dim sum meal with some noodles throw in. We had Har Gau, Pork and Shrimp Siu Mai, Pork Belly Bao, Char Siu Bun, and Gyoza. We added a little bit more with noodles, corn soup, and Kai Lan with ginger sauce. The Pork Belly was super good and it probably wouldn't been better to order a few more. The other dim sum items were good, but living in the Bay Area, I've come accustomed to eating really good Chinese food. The noodles, soup, and Kai Lan were all good, too. The entire meal, as a whole, was extremely enjoyable. Service here is a great. We didn't have a regular waitress assigned to our table as a few people checked in on us. They were all great though. Being in London, of course they had an English accent. My daughter's loved it! They kept trying to copy them. I guess they channeled their inner Peppa Pig!
