We were visiting Tulsa for our first time and it was March madness so some locals told us that this was the place to go for watching games. It totally was the spot. Right across from the ball park it has a great open indoor atmosphere. We went straight into the bar 2 nights in a row and easily found a spot both nights. The kitchen closes at 10 and the bar is based on volume so we were there until almost 11 watching a very embarrassing Razorback sweet sixteen game. Thursdays you can drink their beer all day for 3.5 a pint which was great in this economy. The bar tenders were amazing talking without hovering and just pleasant. Everything the kitch made was great. I personally think the pretzels were incredible they were cooked to perfection and their cheese sauce was like the most perfect consistency for dipping. My husband said the wings were amazing (I don't eat wings) The hummus was great and paired with the most perfectly cooked grilled veggies. Great beer selection all around. We came back the next night just because it was such a great place. read more

Recently on a visit to Elgin Park I saw a sign to purchase a gift card and thought that would be a great idea for my company team Christmas dirty Santa gift. I placed the order online Dec 2nd thinking it would get to me before my party Dec 18th. On Dec 16th I had not received the card in the mail so I emailed McNellies. They had mailed the card on the 5th so they checked their PO Box and offered to issue me a virtual card and cancel the original card. They issued the virtual card on Dec 17th and of course the actual card was delivered that day. They took care of me with no issue or hassle. So glad I purchased local. This is a piece of the East Coast culture of cool cuisine and dining that is nested in our landlocked downtown area. If you really want to experience something truly inspired by institutional greatness paired with Oklahoma hospitality and niceness you've got that in Elgin Park. To start I'm more of a foodie than I am a drinker so the New Haven style pizza really speaks to me. Like a delicious best friend I don't mind not talking to again because well, I ate it. The crust I found is custom made and the in house chef spent 2 months developing it's one of kind flavor and crunch. An amazing combo for the type oven they have in back. The style if pizza also includes some amazing flavor combinations of toppings. Ibdont go into them all but dude, the pesto!!! I'll also have to mention the cauliflower wings. Just try them. Seriously you'll probably adopt a cat just to feed the leftovers you can't put down they are so good. Don't be afraid to try the plethora of sauces they have too!!! WOOT for VARIETY!! So the beer. They brew their own in house!!! I tried the IPA as it's my go to and it really quenched the thirst I had. I wanted a solid IPA and I got it. And for a value!!! You can even get growlers of their brew to go for 6 bucks! What the What!! So bring your whole posse, all 2 or 32 of them. They have room to accommodate. The service is on point and won't leave you left hanging. As a traveller who's had brew and pizza coast to coast it's easy for me to give them 5 stars and tell the masses how lucky we are to have these flavors in a cool venue in downtown Tulsa. read more

I am proud to say I am a regular at Elgin Park. How can I not be when they have Wingsday?! Every Wednesday, their wings are only 50 cents! 5PM to close. It's a weekly tradition at this point. Their hot buffalo chicken wings are SO good!!! Elgin Park is a great place to relax and have a good time while watching sports. They have a wonderful bar area with TVs all around so you won't miss anything. It is located right across from the ONEOK Baseball Field so even its location is highly appropriate. They also have their own brewery so it's cool to see it happen. They partner up with Marshall Brewing to develop recipes so their beer is amazing. Service is always super friendly as well. Was it really that bad this time? Yes. We began w/ rubbery, inedible, burnt clams. See pix plz. The garlic sauce had no garlic & the marinara is a warm. . . Nothing. We ordered 1/2 barbecue chicken & 1/ 2 pineapple and pepperoni, a family fav'. There was no sauce, not even a T. on the BBQ side. We agreed, all you could taste was garlic, garlic, garlic. And pineapple had escaped to the BBQ side as well. Hard, burnt (pretending to be wood-fired?) crust. Oh, and SALT. Maybe it was garlic SALT. We had a member of our party that wanted pizza so tried this a couple of days ago. The Truffle Shuffle pizza was a big disappointment. Three of us tried it and it was just not good. Too greasy and salty and very little flavor. Left a lingering bad taste in my mouth. My husband tried the Texas League salad. The chicken was so overcooked and dry it was inedible. The Philly Cheese Steak sandwich was good but not great. We knew it was a busy night for them since the Chiefs were playing and the place was packed. I never complain about food, I am a foodie. But, Wednesday night 5/8 we ordered wings that took an HOUR (not exaggerating) to get to our table, when we were the ONLY table with people inside the restaurant. Wings were disgusting. Tasted like rubber and looked undercooked. Sent those back and got pizza with cheese that tasted like rubber that also took half an hour to get to the table. Today 5/9 I woke up with HORRIBLE stomach pain. I cannot walk, sit, stand or anything without feeling ungodly uncomfortable due to my stomach pain. I ate only one wing and one slice of pizza. Will not be going back. Great server though, just horrible food especially for the amount of time we waited for it. So disappointing. read more

It was Bedlam football night so the place was crazy packed. We decided to order our pizza to go because there weren't any tables and no one was leaving. They were all there to watch the game. The waitresses were amazing. They took our order quickly and brought us our beers really fast. Especially considering how busy they were. It only took about 30 minutes to get our pizza which was crazy fast. We assumed with that many people it would take at least an hour. We had ordered a large for 3 people. It was HUGE!!!. We were very surprised with how big it was. We walked it back to our room and ate. It was delicious and it was still warm even though the night was really cold. I give them lots of credit for a job well done on a crazy busy night. Next time I'm in Tulsa, I will definitely go back. It was so huge, we all had it for lunch the next day after the Route 66 half marathon. read more

Elgin Park is a fun place in a good location. We had pizza and salad at a group event. The pizza was interestingly sliced, as they had many people to serve, but overall it wasn't anything extraordinary. I would like to go back and try something more interesting that traditional cheese and/or meat toppings. The pizza was a bit chewy but I didn't necessarily dislike that. It wasn't expected though. The waiters weren't very attentive so I would have liked to see that. I can see this being a good place before or after one of the minor league games across the street. I'll start this review off by saying we go to Elgin Park a lot. It's the perfect place to watch a sporting event, and the patio is really great when the weather is nice. Their beer is pretty solid too. However, I've found that the service continues to get worse and worse, especially when you sit on the patio. The wait is extremely long, and on multiple occasions the wrong food or NO food has come out. Most recently, we went for dinner on Father's Day with some friends. We ordered multiple items including the deep dish clam chowder pizza. When it didn't come out about 15 min after the rest of our items, our waiter, was very friendly but so clearly VERY HIGH, told us it would be right out. Then about 15 minutes later he told us that the kitchen was out of clam chowder (clearly indicating the order had never been placed when we originally ordered it). He then told us he could get us a pepperoni pizza out in "five minutes." So we ordered it. Another 20 min later, no pizza. We finally told him we need the pizza in the next couple minutes or cancel the order. The pizza never came, and then our waiter brought us our bill WITH the pizza on the tab. It took another 15 min to get the bill sorted. The entire ordeal took a very long time, and we had a toddler who started losing her cool. It was quite a ridiculous situation, especially considering that we never even got the pizza - even to just take home to eat. I reiterate, the waiter was very polite and funny to the point of charming, but this was truly the worst service I've ever had at a restaurant, and it's not the first time service here has been really bad. We love Elgin Park and want to keep going there, but the service is getting comically bad. It needs to improve. Also, unrelated, but Elgin should bring back their sour beers they had a couple summers ago, they were delicious. read more

Came for a couple of beers on a late Friday afternoon. Very few customers (3 at the bar), probably because Elgin was blocked off with some big tents. We came down Detroit and saw a lot of parking right in front. Greeted immediately and we elected to sit at the bar. I had a couple of Lou Brown's. My wife had a cherry sour beer which she liked. My friends and I come here once or twice a week. One of our favorite events when we get here is watching the "Running of the Bulls". This is where the bartenders chug red bulls before they start.
