And when this pandemic is over I can't wait to go back. My favorite beer on tap is the polka city pilsner--the website describes it as: crisp, clean, straw-colored lager, with a crisp bitter finish. brewed with slovenian hops. Since I don't love dark beers and am not a big drinker in general, I love having lighter options! The kleveland kölsch is also awesome--a traditional light German ale, characterized by its light malt body with a clean and crisp finish. The inside has a cool vibe. Its big and spacious with deep wood accents and a garage door that opens in the nice weather. They also do super cool events, like Galentine's Day yoga and a scrabble tournament (I swear to god). They even had a drag queen trivia night I regret not attending. I've never tried the food here, but everything looks delish that comes out. The other was too engrossed in his conversation with other patrons to notice us. We weren't greeted, asked if we had any questions about the menu, etc. Once we got our drink order in, we were interested in getting food as well. Getting the attention of the staff was truly a feat to boot. We finally got the food order in and ended up moving to a table because the first bartender kept staring at us with her hands on her hips. We got the food, expecting something like Bottlehouse/Masthead/HiHo for our meal, and it was Sysco food. The chicken sandwich was a Sysco chicken tender on a bun. For over $35.00 in food alone, we expected more. We both work in the service industry and understand that things happen, but being treated like an inconvenience for our entire experience is something I was not expecting from a brewery with such high ratings. The cherry on top: in the men's room, 1 of the 3 sinks and both of the urinals were out of order. Definitely will not be back.

Forest City Brewery is located in Duck Island (between Ohio City and Tremont) on the corner of Columbus Road and Freeman Avenue, with the actual entrance on the Freeman side. Inside you will find a series of different rooms, including a large Beer Hall, the main bar area and a great patio out back. The whole thing feels very real and industrial, funky, comfortable and truly Cleveland. Forest City has a nice concise menu of foods, in house beers along with a larger menu of beers and drinks. You order and pay at the bar, get your beers and a number that allows them to find you with the food. The patio is a large open space with trees and plenty of assorted tables and chairs and is very dog friendly. I enjoyed the house brewed beers; I prefer darker and more full bodied beers. All of the beers were very drinkable, smooth and nice finishes. The flavors are subtle and nicely balanced; these are great beers to enjoy and there is a definite personality that Forest City beers have. I was lucky enough to get tickets to the Comedy Festival late show on Friday. The show was in the main beer hall, a large room with a low stage on one side. The show was set up with seven comedians each doing about 7 minute sets and the headliner doing about 45 minutes. Overall an great show, a bunch of different styles and approaches. The headliner Elijah Nevels was excellent; a Cleveland local who tells great stories and hilarious jokes he had the crowd going for his whole set. I really enjoyed Forest City Brewery great beer, really well made food with traditional flavors and a really unique setting. I would highly recommend checking them out. Forest City provides a unique venue to host events; if you are a comedy fan you should look forward to next years Cleveland Comedy Festival.

We opted for the latter, and got lucky with a table to enjoy your glowingly beautiful beers accompanied by the sunset. On our visit, it was bingo night and clearly a SUPER popular place to be. The lines were long, servers rushing around, but still the bartenders were friendly and happy to serve in a calm manner. Their beers are excellent quality as well, and reasonably priced. Restrooms are in the basement. The only negative is accessibility for people and even strollers, so you may want to check on that before coming. This was definitely a highlight of the day, and I look forward to returning.

For my 900th Yelp review, the honour goes to Two Friends Brewing!…read more I first visited for a private Yelp event on Thursday, November 13th 2025 then I came again for my friend's (Leslie) husband's 40th birthday party on Saturday, January 10th 2026. The private birthday party was in their back room. This bar appears to be a favourite amongst locals. Service has always been attentive and friendly the both times that I've been here. FOOD/DRINKS -- I don't drink alcohol but they have a lot of options to offer such as beer (obviously) and I think wine too. The food appears to be standard/average from what I've seen. For my friend's husband birthday party in January 2026, we had pizza which I believe was from another business so it's nice that this establishment allows you to order your own food for a private party. I ordered a sparkling water during my first visit which came in a can. I actually don't like sparking water that much but I had limited options for drinks since I don't drink alcohol and I didn't want a sugary drink. GAMES -- The back room has games to play which is fun. They have pool, football (called "foosball" I think), etc. For both times that I visited, I tried a game called Skee ball game where you throw a ball and try to land it on different levels and each level has points that you can earn. If you like beer and a good atmosphere, then give Two Friends Brewing a visit. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 59/250 total reviews in 2026 - 900 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 30 April 2026
