Taos has some great coffee shops on this end of town is probably my favorite. One of the biggest issues with Taos right now is the traffic. And trying to get from one end of town to the other just for a cup of coffee is a little annoying so it's nice that each side of Taos has a really good coffee shop.

What an amazing experience this place was. All around great place. The location and parking is good. Off the beaten path. But yet really easy to find. Service was top notch. You can really tell customer service is their top priority next to cleanliness. They have you covered with their variety foods treats and drinks. This is a must stop the next you are in the Taos area. I know that my wife and i will be coming back. So skip all the big chain coffee shops and make this your go to. It's well worth the effort.

The best coffee shop in Taos! The coffee is always great, the food is delicious , and the gelatos is a must try. Not to mention the welcoming customer service especially as a new comer. Lastly the ambiance of the shop, it's warm, pretty, and lots greenery. A great spot to hang out with friends or coworkers.

Roasted: found Elevation while staying in El Prado. Cute coffee shop off the main road with good parking and seating. Overall the inside and decor I like - it's decorated with local art and plants but the chairs are uncomfortable and don't fit in with the decor. Very friendly baristas and we were greeted and thanked by both. Good selection of sugar free flavors including my favorite hazelnut. We were able to get our lattes for here (after asking for them in mugs) but still got to sit inside and enjoy our coffee. The latte was near perfect - just a bit too hot to drink right away. Taste, espresso, flavor all were right on and we got nice hearts as latte art! I would definitely come back for another latte here. Unroasted: the giant red coffee cup makes this place easy to spot from the road which is appreciated. 6 tables and plenty of seats inside with about the same outside. This place screams southwest and it's pretty amazing. This is one of those coffee shops I could sit and relax for awhile. Plenty to see and interesting people coming thru. The staff was very friendly and greeted upon entering! The vibe here is very chill and laid back. Love that they had sugar free flavors and ordered my usual. I did have to state I was drinking it here to get a mug but it was worth it. Latte art was ok point! I do wish it was not as hot as I got it. I would highly recommend this place if you cruising thru.

Great people and coffee! That after just a few days of hanging out in town remembered my order. Which was their great cold brew, by the way. Also, the internet is pretty fast at around 20 mbps down and 33 mbps up! I sure with the Yelp would add an internet speed question to their reviews. Lastly, they play good music!

(Coming from someone who's reviewed 57 coffee shops in 5+ states) We're calling it a Top 5 best cup of coffee. Last morning in town, and we wanted to try another spot, grateful (as always) to the yelp reviews that brought us here. Ordered the usual: decaf flat white with heavy cream. Appreciated that the staff spent a moment asking clarifying questions to ensure we were speaking the same coffee language. Waiting for our drinks, we peruse the shop- plenty to keep your eye busy and LOTS of personality to let you know THIS is the kind of place you want to your hard earned dollars to support. First sips of our drinks and it's robust and coffee forward. We LOVE when the coffee is strong enough to stand up to the heavy cream. I could tell within to sips that this would be the place I'll drop into, grab a flat white, and then head over to the library for a good quiet morning. The shop is just on the edge of the downtown plaza, minimal parking but more than enough space to grab your Joe and go. 5 stars, all the way!

Service was solid (the lady upfront was welcoming with a nice smile) and that might be of the most attractive aspect of this shop than what they offer such as coffees and food stuff. I had a doppio over ice. It somehow lacked the "kick" I wanted to taste in it (any/all espresso shots should have; overall though it wasn't bad.) I noticed some savory pastries at the counter; I got enticed by it but I refrained from getting it as I was on my way to a chocolatier nearby. After walking away from it (a few hundred yards) I realized that I had left my sunglasses in the shop. I immediately went back to get them where the same lady knew why I was back there. She kindly placed them in a secure place for me in the meantime from she pulled them out of. Small and yet a little kind gesture I noticed about her and the shop which I wanted to make a note. So in short, my experience with this place was good.

We were so excited to check this place out as we had heard many great things, and that was the first spot of the day kicking off our anniversary. The person at the counter taking orders was extremely rude and unprofessional when it was our turn. She was condescending on every question we asked since it was our first time in. We were curious what the signature latte was since it doesn't tell you on the menu "It's..rosemary?" and then rings up said latte and huffs and puffs like a child when we said we were gonna do two iced lattes "Ugh okay lemme take the signature latte off the order". We go to order breakfast sandwiches but there's a sign that says "No bagels" no big deal, we asked her what do they come on instead "Sourdough....." with the rudest tone and look on their face. My partner asked if she can get a side of tomato jam for her sandwich to a response of "Ya I don't know probably"..at this point I was ready to leave as I am in the industry myself and have been so for 20 years and I'm not gonna let anyone treat me like that. We stuck around though as it was our anniversary and this place was recommended by many others when we told them we were going to Taos for our celebration. Coffee took 20 minutes to make two iced lattes, food took another 30ish and they weren't that busy either. We waited so long that someone who worked there eventually came up and asked if we needed help with anything- we stated we were waiting on our order and they said it was gonna be another 10 minutes. All that waiting around for burnt sourdough, half melted cheese, and bland sausage. Kitchen seemed frazzled although it wasn't busy, felt like they threw our food together to start cleaning the kitchen to close, although we weren't there near closing time. The tab was also somehow $52 for two iced coffees and two mediocre breakfast sandwiches..talk about a ripoff. I haven't even had breakfast that expensive in Aspen or Jackson Hole. One star because the coffee was really good, and the bathroom was cool but that's about it. Everything else about the experience there was lackluster, and I will not recommend this place to anyone who visits Taos. This experience was so awful that I had to send in an email in hopes they respond/take my feedback and improve on things, but I will not go back next time I'm in town personally to see if these issues have changed. Mainly due to the woman at the counter but also the food was very underwhelming especially for the steep price.

Adorable (well, everything is adorable in Taos; it's the southwestern charm for sure!) but it's more than what its appearance says it all. You have to try their products and see for yourself. What I got me were a few bon bons and a chocolate torte (the whiskey kind). -Miso Caramel: is shaped like a mushroom. Even if you might not be a fan of miso based (everything), you should try these bon bons anyway as they don't taste like miso at all. I was quite shocked with this myself (well, I like miso soup; miso taste doesn't bother me at all. Even so, Miso chocolate candy was something I didn't know what to expect out of. That is why I am saying that I was surprised by it.) -New Mexico , Spicy: was also surprising. The kick in these tiny pieces was quite mighty and yet it was tolerable. -Whisky Torte: All sorts of organic ingredients are used to make these delightful tortes. Tortes tend to be a lot heavier than traditional cakes as their texture is that of fudge. And yet, that shouldn't be a reason for you to steer clear from it as this chocolatier perfected the torte in a way that it will not be too rich or heavy for your taste or stomach. At least that is what I thought when I tasted it. Another must-try item on their menu offerings. For its interior, it's mostly and simply grey on walls but this emits the "chicness" that doesn't overshadow the theme of its business. You should also pay attention to the ceilings and the floors. A careful attention to entertain the guests' eyes is seen throughout. Service was good. I first went here late in the afternoon (close to its closing time). I quickly glanced at each section of the store inside. The kind gentleman upfront wanted to assist me but after asking him if it was open tomorrow (it would be Sunday), he said yes to which I gave him my promise that I would be back tomorrow. The same man assisted me when I was back the very next day to make a purchase. Not sure if he remembered me or not. It's not chocolate bon bons or tortes you can enjoy at this store. The café offers tasting trios, mocha, chocolate mouse, ice cream, affogato, hot chocolate, and espresso and so on. This is a haven for chocolate fanatics.
