Top tier tea. VERY GOOD!!! Was very impressed with their tea when it was served at Ojo Caliente. Visited their shop in Taos and was floored by the selection, quality and friendly service. The store is really charming inside and it's on a beautiful street, conveniently located.

    Me and my tea!

I always always stop here when in Taos and order online when I am not. Their Bisco Tea Cho (a delightful blend of matcha and cinnamon that makes a fantastic latté) and desert sage (an herbal delight with a touch of lavender that soothes you whether you need to relax for sleep or unwind from a long day) are my two absolute favorites, but truly, you cannot go wrong with any choice. High quality, knowledgeable staff, adorable shop with ceramic mugs and more... also, samples! Try whatever sounds good to you and then take some home. If you love tea, this should be a definite stop for you. Located in the plaza and also at the farmers market.

I ended up with a sipping cream tea, a blooming tea to go and an orange creamsicle variety (that I sampled in store).

Adorable (well, everything is adorable in Taos; it's the southwestern charm for sure!) but it's more than what its appearance says it all. You have to try their products and see for yourself. What I got me were a few bon bons and a chocolate torte (the whiskey kind). -Miso Caramel: is shaped like a mushroom. Even if you might not be a fan of miso based (everything), you should try these bon bons anyway as they don't taste like miso at all. I was quite shocked with this myself (well, I like miso soup; miso taste doesn't bother me at all. Even so, Miso chocolate candy was something I didn't know what to expect out of. That is why I am saying that I was surprised by it.) -New Mexico , Spicy: was also surprising. The kick in these tiny pieces was quite mighty and yet it was tolerable. -Whisky Torte: All sorts of organic ingredients are used to make these delightful tortes. Tortes tend to be a lot heavier than traditional cakes as their texture is that of fudge. And yet, that shouldn't be a reason for you to steer clear from it as this chocolatier perfected the torte in a way that it will not be too rich or heavy for your taste or stomach. At least that is what I thought when I tasted it. Another must-try item on their menu offerings. For its interior, it's mostly and simply grey on walls but this emits the "chicness" that doesn't overshadow the theme of its business. You should also pay attention to the ceilings and the floors. A careful attention to entertain the guests' eyes is seen throughout. Service was good. I first went here late in the afternoon (close to its closing time). I quickly glanced at each section of the store inside. The kind gentleman upfront wanted to assist me but after asking him if it was open tomorrow (it would be Sunday), he said yes to which I gave him my promise that I would be back tomorrow. The same man assisted me when I was back the very next day to make a purchase. Not sure if he remembered me or not. It's not chocolate bon bons or tortes you can enjoy at this store. The café offers tasting trios, mocha, chocolate mouse, ice cream, affogato, hot chocolate, and espresso and so on. This is a haven for chocolate fanatics.

They have an explanation of the bean to bar process of the cacao on the wall. They also have drawings on the ceiling of the cacao pods. They offer lots of chocolate bars, mousse, cakes, coffee, etc. I opted for their flourless cake. It was so good that I want to come back and get more and also try their other items. The staff were efficient so you didn't have to wait too long. I highly recommend this place.

Something you have to experience at least once…read more The spirit of Taos, the smells, the kind people, the music and farming culture all come together for this spirited (socially distanced & masked in 2020) party in the square which is: Taos Farmers Market. It's hard to pick my most favorite part of the market. -I simply adored the robust smell of ROASTING HATCH CHILIS in the cool fall air as we made our way through the market. -WILD LEAVEN BAKERY BREADS are flavor bombs which are in-sanely delicious. Make no mistake, toasted with butter it takes you to heaven. In hindsight I wish I had bought a few loaves and brought them home to freeze. Next time I will. They also had tasty hand pies which were awesome breakfast for that morning. -The family selling TAMALES were awesome, kind, and their food was delicious. -RODRIGUEZ S & J FARM was there selling their RAUL'S POSOLE. We had the unique luck of finding them at the Santa Fe Farmer's Market the weekend before. We cooked our first bag of Posole during the week and knew we wanted a few bags more to take home. So when we found them in Taos we were super excited. Also, their posole is a great gift to take home to family and friends who enjoy cooking. All and all, I liked the Taos Farmer's Market better than the Santa Fe Farmer's Market, which I didn't expect at all. The Santa Fe Market rocked and it was much larger. The Taos Farmer's Market was much smaller...more intimate. I think getting to experience the roasting of the hatch chilis really was really something special for me, which the weekend before we didn't get to see at the Santa Fe Farmer's Market. October 2020
