Good coffee and conveniently located right at the base of the mountain. Only complaint is that it closes early. I like the mocha!

Great espresso! Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. I didn't get to try their pastries but they seemed fresh.

There aren't a lot of coffee shops in Red River, so options are limited, but we stopped here on our last day in town. The shop is located in a repurposed train car, which is super cool! Not a ton of seating, but we grabbed a seat by the window and watched the snow fall while we waited for our drinks. We ordered the churro latte (flavored with cinnamon bun and mocha) and the Berry White (raspberry and white mocha). My husband really likes fruit flavors, so he really enjoyed the berry white, though it was a little too sweet for me. The churro latte was not as sweet, and wasn't too strongly flavored of cinnamon, so it was really good. We would come back next time we're in town. read more

As someone who has worked in F&B & retail, I try to always be very kind & patient. I've never in my life lost my cool with service workers but it happened here. The bad attitude of the workers was something I've never experienced. To start, when I first walked in the guy behind the counter (Jan. 2022) had a terrible attitude before I even ordered. I ended up getting accused of taking a drink that wasn't mine when I had purchased 2 drinks. Was then told to drop my attitude after defending myself lol..... It was humiliating & literally happened 10 minutes after I ordered the drink. Like how do you forget what I ordered in 10 minutes?? Will never be back here. The place itself & the coffee was great. Cute and only coffee shop that was open during October & COVID ! It's a cute little stop to grab your coffee fuel and they even carry few limited breakfast items like muffins & burritos! Nice decor inside as well as a beautiful patio overlooking mountains to enjoy while sipping your drink ! The service is a bit slow , but the ladies are welcoming and great . The coffee is amazing, I was pleasantly surprised at how they recreated my hometown favorite coffee: royal breve. Tasted amazing, were very eager to make it just right. Cute location that looks like a renovated rail car (this the name "steam?"). There's a wood burning stove in the dining area - very cool. We came in early on a Saturday and ordered a pour over and a mocha. The "pour over" looked to be a batch brew or pre-brewed (maybe?) but it was good - not the top of the line, but definitely better than the other options. My wife's mocha was exactly what she was looking for and very chocolate-forward. It looks like they sell grab and go savory items similar to T-bucks down the street. Reading other reviews, I was a bit concerned about the customer service, and although there was one team member sitting in the dining area when I walked in, she was quick to attend to guests. The gentleman behind the counter was friendly and helpful. No complaints here. Give steam a try! read more

We were so excited that the vape place that previously occupied this little caboose was gone and a coffee place replaced it. We've had a cabin in Red River for over fifty years and always try to support local business. They have redecorated and it's really cute. They have some yummy looking food too. It's too bad that the people working there were so unbelievably rude that we couldn't even bring ourselves to order coffee. They would barely speak to us and they weren't wearing masks or gloves. I love the coffee from here and I really love their amazing cinnamon rolls. The little barista, I think her name was Emily, was so sweet. We have been in Red River for over 30 years and we have seen MANY businesses come and go in this little town. Customer service is KEY!!! And this little new establishment did not make the cut. It's a cute little building. Really cute. But the workers need a course in personal service. As we walked in, we passed two teens (or there abouts) sitting in the only chairs inside. Obviously they were on a break. Both were scrolling through their iPhones and one had in ear pods. I don't mind anyone taking a break - but we waited for almost 15 minutes while one worker waited on two people in front of us. 15 minutes!!!! Not once did either sitting person pretend to even comprehend that they should help with getting orders completed or take new ones. The menu is not complicated, but the items are - they require mixing and measuring - so it takes awhile for each order. The girl behind the counter was doing a pretty good job, but was not friendly at all. As we waited for our drinks - 2 smoothies and a frappe - more people came in and waited. One of the "phone" people finally got up and looked as if she might actually help with taking and making orders. Nope - she came over to the counter and talked with the girl making everything and discussed the music that was playing throughout the little building. (By the way - the song playing was awesome - NOT - it was something about being a teenage dirtbag!!!!!). Not only did she not begin to help, she actually went right behind the cash register while a lady was waiting to place and order and play with the music system!!!! Really?????? And to top it off - the smoothies were not good - and neither was the frappe. Unless they change just about everything in this business, they will not be here long. It is your return customers and word of mouth that help keep a business running - and this one won't last unless the teenagers running it are taught and expected to provide better customer service. And with Major Bean gone - this business could do really well. People love coffees and smoothies. Come on - be nice!!! You're in a beautiful town with amazing scenery - act like it!!! read more
