Bearly awake, the coffee shop you end up at when you're limited on options to choose from. As soon as I entered the shop, I loved how cozy it looked inside and that there was a mini gift shop area to browse in meanwhile you're waiting for your order to be called. Now, that I got the details in from the place, I ended up ordering an iced pumpkin spice latte with oat milk (and it is one size which is 16 oz). I would say it was decently good, but maybe I could've asked for less ice, because it wasn't sweet to me compared to my family members Mexican mocha and caramel macchiato (which they asked for regular milk but what can I say I love oat milk). So for those who are sweet tooth ask for less ice! Overall I really enjoyed the taste, it tasted different.. almost chai like compared to your standard ice pumpkin spice, but I personally liked it that way. My family did enjoy their drinks and rated it a good 7/10! If I were to come to Red River again, I would definitely return to the shop for a Mexican mocha :) read more

You order your food at the register and pick it up when your name is called, but the workers are pleasant and eager to answer questions. The espresso is some of the best and blends smoothly w just milk, or mocha, or vanilla. They also have the "fall flavors". I even got an espresso bag to bring home. We were there in Sept to do some fishing and Bearly Awake filled my thermos most mornings. Cool area to sit and hang out inside or on the front porch. They sell logo merch, soaps, cards, local candies, muffins, chocolate croissants, etc. Gotta say that the three different employees I met were all attentive, friendly and helpful. Stopped by Bearly Awake twice this trip. Once for frozen yogurt which didn't have the biggest selection of yogurt but has what I wanted. Good selection of toppings to go on top. Second visit was for coffee and breakfast sandwiches on way out of town to head home. Coffee was fresh and hot as were the egg, bacon, Gouda biscuit sandwiches. Will stop by here next trip to town. They also have a nice area out front to sit and enjoy your meal if choose to do so. read more

If you want something fast, go to McDonalds. This place takes a few minutes to make you a wonderful drink. I don't drink coffee but my wife says it is great too but their shakes!!!! If you're Bearly Awake when you enter this fine establishment, you most certainly won't be upon your departure. Bearly Awake offers a fantastic array of caffeinated beverages to suit everybody's tastes ~ from their coffees to their teas, and even more eclectic offerings like their refreshers. This is not a Starbucks... They do not serve coffee and espresso made from massively over-roasted beans. The coffee is simply spot-on for deliciousness. Oh, and I would be daft to fail to mention their syrups... I have *never* seen a coffee shop with as many offerings as Bearly Awake, boasting flavors from the standards such as vanilla and mocha (I highly recommend trying their Mexican Mocha), to the exotic such as passionfruit and watermelon. They also have a great array of plant-based milks for those whom try to avoid dairy. Apart from their drinks, Bearly Awake also offers a great assortment of baked goods (their kolaches are out-of-this-world, and failing to try them at least once would be a disservice to one's self), and other delicious treats such as artisan candies and more delectable pastries. The shop also has a fantastic selection of clothing, coffee accessories, art, and sealed food items to aid your adventures in cooking such as their hot sauce selection. Definitely give the store a browse while waiting for your drink (be warned however, they know what they are doing, so you won't have much time to browse before it's ready for you! ) The environment is bright, happy, and overall just very welcoming ~ they even keep pads and markers out so that your munchkin(s) can color and draw while you caffeinate your brain for the day ahead. The staff is always cheery and smiling, so you can allow yourself a day initiated with some positivity. My husband and I wandered over to Bearly Awake to pick up some pastries for the next morning. They had just made some kielbasa kolaches so we picked up some of those, a doughnut, a chocolate croissant, and an apple turnover. They were all delicious.
