My solar project started with Elevation earlier in 2022. It seemed to be going ok until everything was finished. It gets submitted to Tucson Electric Power and then 10 days later comes back with needs corrections. This is the 4th or 5th time it has come back that TEP needs pictures. Each time it is the same thing. On the third time, early Nov 2022 I sent my own pictures and it was re-submitted. I contacted Elevation at that time and told them to send someone back out for new pictures. I am inquiring with TEP to see if they just resubmit the same things. I'm waiting to hear back. Early Nov 2022 I called Elevation and told them I wasn't happy paying my payment as well as my electrical service and couldn't afford to keep doing that especially in the summer when it runs almost $300 and if they didn't do something I would be putting in complaints everywhere I could. They sent me two payments and I appreciate that, but I NEED MY SYSTEM WORKING. Well here we are again. It came back as needs corrections again. So guess what, I'm complaining everywhere. read more

Installed solar panel was interfering with and pressing up against a vent. I/homeowner noticed this months later. The force on the vent likely caused the sealant which sealed the vent flashing to the shingles to separate, creating a water leak hazard. After multiple inquiries, they came out roughly two weeks following initial notification and patched it with roof patch, and the solar panel is still interfering with the vent. Poor worksmanship and customer service. read more

I would not recommend Elevation. I started in Aug 2019 for a 10kw battery-ready inverter and 16 330-watt panels, my plan was to expand in the future. When the plans were dropped off, I looked them over and it was downgraded to a 5Kw inverter and not battery ready. I contacted Elevation and they stated that I had been sent a revised quote with the 5Kw inverter (amazingly at the same price point) and that I had agreed to it. After the ensuing argument, I was told if I wanted the 10Kw inverter*, I would be charged an additional $700 to $1000, but if I was willing to do the 7Kw* inverter, she could do that without additional charge. I reluctantly agreed. I probably should not have. Four weeks later the tech comes out to install the inverter and it is not battery ready. Another argument ensues and I had to send the email where the sales agent had stated it was "absolutely battery ready." After another delay, the correct inverter and related equipment were installed and my approval process is started with the utility. Commissioning is Nov 27, 2019, after delays and attempts to give me lower equipment. It failed as the plans were not correct. I called Elevation and they said they would send out a tech. After two more weeks, I emailed and called several times and they told me a tech had come out and everything was fine, no changes had to be made. I tried to call Elevation back over the next week to no avail. That is when I contacted a resolution manager and together, we figured out the duplicate plans were the problem and had to order a new commissioning date as the original agent had dropped the ball. Jan 6, 2020 - The tech shows up and cannot get the system on, so my utility company fails my commissioning again. I contact Elevation and they advise they are ordering a new inverter. Two weeks later, the tech installs a different inverter and all is supposedly done. I researched online and found that the new inverter is not battery-ready, and lists at half of the price as the one I was promised.* I called the resolution manager. He called me back a day later and stated they had installed the wrong inverter and they would be out in a week to put the correct one in. The tech came out and did not have the parts for the installation, so they rescheduled to install it. During this time, the resolution manager called me to let me know two of the panels were not reporting and he would have someone out to look at that. Once the new inverter was installed, and the panels looked, I was told it was all ready to go. However, after the tech left, I saw a different panel was not reporting. I contacted Elevation and was sent to a different resolution manager, so I had to start the conversation all over to make sure she was aware of all the issues. She sent out a Quality Control tech who went over everything and then scheduled another tech appointment (two weeks out) to fix issues he had found as well as the non-reporting panel. When this tech arrived, he had no idea I still had a panel that was not reporting and was only there to paint the conduit to match the house. After replacing an optimizer and getting the panel to report correctly, they left and I received an email letting me know everything was done and my set up was completed. Sales vs. Installation: The completed quote was for a 10kw* inverter that was battery ready. The attempt to install a 5kw inverter, and the attempt to replace the non-functioning inverter with a different model that was not battery-ready at a later point in the process just seemed off. I am not a solar expert and had I not reviewed the plans and the specs of these inverters, I would have never known what was being done. The original quote total price was NEVER adjusted, as I am sure the 7kw inverter is less expensive than the 10kw* inverter. Full Disclosure: The resolution team has sent me a check for about $50.00 to make up for lost production, and a $100.00 Amazon gift card. I doubt this accounts for all the lost production, and the difference in cost of the 10kw inverter and the 7kw* inverter I ended up with. Follow-up: Clayton Andersen (Elevation CEO) called me concerning the above review. He apologized for all of the mis-steps and we also talked about mitigation efforts that have been added to the operations of the company to avoid these issues. *In the interest of fairness, I wanted to qualify my statements concerning the inverter costs and how the sales team may have mis-quoted from the start. The CEO pointed out that the sales rep may have quoted the 10Kw inverter (not battery-ready), which is less expensive that the 7kw inverter I now have that is battery ready, so the initial total price may have been very close to accurate based on the system that was finally completed. This still leaves the question of why, after being quoted the 10Kw inverter (regardless of being battery-ready), the actual install initially had a 5Kw inverter on the plans. read more

We got a solar panel system installed in June of last year and it works great. I'm glad I got solar. I just wish now that I had used a different company. The installation crew broke my skylight and a roof tile during installation. They came to my house, charged me thousands of dollars for a product, and broke my stuff. You'd think they would want to make it right. Well, after months of calling, emailing, and getting the run around ("you're on the list"), I'm done. These guys stink. Everyone is great while you're signing up and getting the contract squared away. Once they get your money, poof, they're gone. They don't call, follow up, nothing. Looking to get a lawyer at this point. I'm on the hook with these guys for the next 25 years, and I'm dreading it. If they don't fix an install problem, why should I expect them to fix anything else that comes up? I see now how they take care of their customers and do business with people. It's just not worth it. There are dozens of solar companies out there. If you are going to contract with someone for decades of your life, pick someone you can trust. Pick anyone but Elevation. read more

They are mixed up and bold faced lied on their Docusign. They claim my installer was Greg Andersen when in fact he is the CEO and installer was an unlicensed man, Freddy Gonzalez who claimed also they are all NABCEP certified when they are not.Elevation Solar is not even listed on NABCEP's site. TDLR only lists Johnnie Edward Richardson as Master Electrician who never showed up. I hired someone else to check the work and I'll be hiring a roofer to verify there are no holes in my roof. IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING THIS COMPANY MOVE ON!!! What can I say about this company but that they care as much as they get your money. I have paid over $30,000 to have solar panels installed and was very happy with my service until it came time to actually install the panels and it has been a nightmare since then. I had the panels and the backup battery installed and it was to done haphazardly. They did not anticipate how much time it would take and did not budget the appropriate amount of time to do it correctly. On the first day, they came in the morning and were done by noon. The next day when it actually came to doing the wiring and connecting it to my fuse box they were here for 14 hours and still did not complete the project fully by leaving the conduit that was to be painted partially done and I also spent the next few days sweeping and cleaning up screws and nails around. I was told they would have a tech out to finish the job of painting the conduit and any other miscellaneous thing that needed to be done and it took close to a month of me calling multiple times to get someone out to take care. Finally, a tech did come out and I saw him standing outside looking at my home and then he left without out doing anything. Finally, after several more calls, a tech was scheduled to come out and did paint and take care of our existing issues which was the one positive interaction with the company. As far as getting city and SRP inspections I was told the city had had the plans submitted to them and we were waiting for approval. Several weeks went by and I emailed my concierge or company representative and did not receive a reply and found out that she had left the company without assigning me to someone else. (Since then I have had 3 different representatives.) I found out that the plans were submitted wrong to the city and that they had to restart the process. They would not have caught it if I had not called. I started calling the city myself to get updates so I am well aware that it was their failure. Finally, I had the city inspector come and approve with some minimal recommendations. However, today I had another tech come out and inform me that because of the wiring that was done and that my fuse box is too small he cannot complete the process and get my system to pass inspection with SRP. I have 2 days prior to the inspection and a wired fuse box that looks like a total fire hazard. They did not take the time to anticipate that I would need a bigger box for the electrical panel. Instead, they crammed the wires in and left it. What was the tech's solution? "I will make a note on the computer." So it has now been over 2 months since the panels were installed and today I was told by them that they did it incorrectly. I have no idea when or if the system will ever actually become functional! Bottom line is that you pay upfront for the installation and that once they place the solar panels on your roof they are done and really have no further obligation to you. In my case, the wiring was done incorrectly and my system can not even be turned on. Their staff is very polite on the phone and through email. Once they are off the phone you are easily forgotten and the staff moves on. Next time you call it will be the same thing over and over. They politely ignore you. read more

Elevation solar is a company with excellent employees in the sales and concierge areas. I gave them a glowing review on my first review after installation on solar roof on Oct 14, 2020. However, after 2.5 months and 3 rains, I was given a notice from my HOA there were missing tiles. A letter left on my garage door by a concerned neighbor soon followed. After a brand new roof was installed, the solar panels were added, and many shingles were broken by the solar panel installers who were not careful. They left gaps of 3 or 4 missing tiles that were not replaced. The job was incomplete. In total, more than 30 roof tiles were missing!!! The people at Elevation have been good about trying to get someone out, but the subcontractors they used did not finish the job. The tech they sent out today is an electrician, and doing the best he can. I have contacted the roof installer, who is contacting Elevation to get this right. I went up on the roof today to see the job for the 1st time, and was appalled. I have notified Elevation I expect some remuneration for this hassle. There may be rain sitting on my drywall already and it is possible it will show up years later. I will have to pay the $1,000 deductible, after spending $11,000 for a new roof , plus the cost of the installation of solar panels. I have not been able to reach the vp or the owner of Elevation, and they would be embarrassed if they saw this shoddy workmanship. The mismatched tiles are leaving gaps in roof coverage, and the fact they left this without returning to finish the job is not acceptable, by any standards. read more

The sales rep and installation crew are wonderful. Dane was knowledgeable about the product and helped us make the best decision for our home and budget. Installation crew was quick, friendly and professional. Office management, personnel and overall organization needs a lot of work. Our service rep and the loan company didn't have good communication. I felt like I was managing our service rep and telling her she had to provide an invoice to the finance company for proof of down payment. At one point our installation was pushed back because there wasn't proof of funding and the gap was between the two parties. Mind you, this is a finance company that Elevation recommended and works with frequently. Elevation said several times they would do specific actions to rectify mistakes. Unfortunately, I still had to follow up several times to ensure our loan amount and "sign on bonus" was provided and accurate. Besides the office crew I was satisfied with Elevation and it's products it sold to us. read more

I am a general contractor they are not a good company i bought my $38,000 system from them since I can't put my hole personal experience in this post i will try to shorten it up. they maid alot of mistakes, they bolted the panels down through My flat foam roof salesman told me that it would be ballast system witch is what I wanted and the only reason I went with them now i have over 100 penetrations that will eventually leak This still makes me sick thinking about it. My inverter did not last a year because they installed one that wkias not rated for direct sunlight my inverter is in direct sunlight all day My system was off grid for a month before they could fix it. My demand controller was never hooked up so after hooking it up I found out that the range was hooked up to it instead of the AC. That I fixed. They don't monitor your system I had to call them every time something breaks. I have had a panel out for 3 weeks now i already called them a week ago and they said that they would get back to me still waiting very poor customer service. read more

Hello all, I signed up with this company about two months ago. They were great the salesman was helpful up front. I really wanted solar and see the benefits in it. Here is the problem. When I signed up, I was told that I could get an extra $1500 for entering the "referral" program by giving five names. So, I did and was told a check would come out to me. Again, two months later nothing. The salesman is giving a run around about how someone will call me. Mind you they have been blowing up my five referrals and probably lost them because they cannot do what they said. I have my panels installed but honestly after this treatment I can not trust anything that they say anymore. It really bothers me when you give someone your word and make a deal and they do not follow through. I wish I could look at other options, but I cannot. Maybe this will help someone else from going through the lies and deceit I have gone through. read more

The project is coming up on a year since it started with Elevation and they still can't seem to figure out how to install and/or turn on the system. Literally every time something was scheduled to be done at my home there was some kind of mistake made, mis-scheduling, or mis-communication. At this point I'm thinking of removing the panels myself and leaving them in the alley for them to deal with. Since they've upgraded my circuit box every time it rains we pop a fuse although I've told my point of contact no one has come out to check it. read more

Certainly the company was good during the installation, but the moment they were done their responses to email... none. The customer service and monitoring... extremely poor. Their $25,000 system is attached to my house, I have had it only 10 months and it has not generated power now for several weeks. SRP had to tell me it wasn't working as their monitoring department failed to say anything. I have to call them more than once for everything because they don't do what they tell me they will do. A 12 year warranty means nothing when they do not meet their commitments to fix anything. This terrible mistake is still not working. Buyer beware!! read more

I wrote my reason for the change in number of stars as part of my lengthy original post. System stopped producing in March 1. Elevate notified and said it was SRP problem. Called SRP. They said it was Elevation problem and most likely an inverter problem. Called Elevation back and told them what SRP said. They claimed it was due to overcast days. Called back a week later. Still not producing. They said a tech could come out in about 2 weeks. Tech came on the 28 March and after tests agreed it was inverter problem and to check with office on Monday April 1. Called office and they claimed not to have the report yet from tech. System still not producing. Nothing resolved. Will keep rating low until issues are resolved. Someone did call on Tuesday and claimed to be working on problem/ ordered new inverter. As of 4/11. Still not resolved. Someone was to come on 4/12 to change inverter but even though the part was in stock and I had been told someone would come they never did. Now someone is to come this AM. .... still waiting. System has not been operational for almost 2 months. Their sales Dept is great but after installation needs major work!!!!! read more

Getting solar was something I always wanted to do in the past, and Elevation Solar helped make this a seamless and easy process. They answered all of my questions and never pressured me. The best part is that through Elevation Solar I don't have to pay any large up front costs, but get to see the long term benefits. The installation was done by professionals and they answered any questions I had about the system. I can honestly say our experience with Elevation Solar has been extremely negative and very disappointing. As a customer, if you are looking for non-skilled personnel to install or repair your SOLAR System with a company that has no communication within their office, or any type of customer satisfaction, this is the company for you. Their service is absolutely atrocious!!!!!! This is by far a company that is unreliable for solar. This company will take YOUR money, and if you are unfortunate enough to start having problems, you will have difficulty contacting anyone to help you including field supervisors, if by chance you are lucky enough to get their phone number. From day one the install was not done correctly. I had roof leaks, and panels went out due to obsolete wire connectors. I was never notified of panel outages through the company, which they were in fact suppose to be monitoring production for one year. This company drags their feet when there is a issue with your solar, to fix or repair the problems. When the company finally made arrangements for personal to come to do repairs, no one showed up. Not only did they not show but I did not receive an E-Mail or a phone call letting me know of the change in plans. This scheduling/no-show happened multiply times. When finally a person came to my home, they did not understand the scoop of the complaint due to the lack of communication in their office but upon inspection they could not fix the problems due to company's lack of material. At the present time I still have unresolved issues. If upper level management does not see to take pride in their work, the workers underneath them will do the same. I advise everyone before you decide to go with any SOLAR COMPANY go online go to the BBB, CUSTOMER AFFAIRS, and the company's web site. My solar was installed a little over a year ago. I noticed my electric bill had recently gone up so I emailed them letting them know there was a problem with no response. Finally they called me and came out only to find out the system was down. Tech told me it will be 7 to 10 days to get the part. Now it has been 17 days and no parts as they blame it on there supplier. If the system produces less than 90% of the previous year they will credit me the difference. (However I am still out the That's like leasing a car and having it in the shop for over a month. In the mean time I am paying a higher utility bill and I still have to pay for the lease. read more

Horrible! They came to the house trying to get us to sign up. After 30 min of some run around explanation I asked that they come back Friday when my husband was home, which he did. My husband asked if he had anything in writing we could look at so we weren't just going off of someone's word. We were ready to sign up but just wanted some kind of documentation. It is a little early in the process and I plan on updating after installation is complete. So far the sales process has gone very smoothly. Dane came to our home and was very knowledgeable. My wife and I had looked into solar previously but were not impressed with the the salesman. Many questions were not answered and due to our discomfort we did not proceed. Well our electric bills have continued to climb and we decided to revisit solar. Dane was able to answer our questions and the presentation was great. We stand to save a couple hundred dollars a month especially during the summer months here in Arizona. read more

Sales Process: They insisted on an in person sales meeting in the home which was not my original preference as they were just one of the many companies we had contacted, but Dane Thomas (their sales guy for us) was on time and did not insist on belaboring the sales pitch. I liked the products they were offering and the promptness of their replies. As I mentioned we were looking at several different companies and one of them offered a better total cost than Elevation for the same system, but Elevation was offering a better APR. So I sent the other company's offer over to them and they came down match their price but still with the lower APR. At the same time a third company was not giving up on the sale and was matching Elevation's APR and system but with a bigger inverter. I liked the reviews of Elevation better and wanted to go with them so I sent this third offer over to them and they matched it again. Overall I am very happy with the sales process with them. I'm in SATX and the sales guy that was in my area is incredibly forceful and rude. I have repeatedly told him "No, I can't install solar right now due to other factors beyond my control." And he will not listen. He's incredibly pushy and overbearing. If the sales guy shows up again I will call the authorities. I will be able to afford solar on my home in the next year or so, but I'm not going with Elevation Solar. I am incredibly disappointed in how this companies sales force treats potential customers and will spread the word. read more

I have not had a positive experience with Elevation Solar. The salesperson came out and was very knowledgeable and gave a "no pressure" presentation. Once the decision was made, the installation was done without my approval, when I was not home and without a phone call. I then waited 6 months before the switch was flipped. During this time, I had to continue to follow up with Elevation Solar. Sometimes, I received good customer service and sometimes my calls were not returned. I was told that my APS bill would drop to around $20-25 a month after the solar was turned on. I have had 2 months of APS bills over $100!! I called today to speak to someone about it and was told no one was available to speak to at 1:30 in the afternoon. I did not get a return phone call. For anyone looking to install solar, I would recommend a different company. Very dissatisfied customer. read more

Very poor service took 6 months to install and still not working, staff unable to turn unit on, they are always sorry, but never finish the job or do it half ass, failed inspection once and would of been twice but I asked the inspector to let it slide, Please try someone else!!! The rep was great, it is after that when things fall apart, installation was delayed as material did not show up and only one person showed up to try and do the install, for the first 9 hours, and it went down hill from their, Multiple calls to complete the work, with slow results, left piles of wire and garbage all over the ground and roof. good luck if you choose them to do your work. read more

I finally broke down and got solar panels. So far we have saved $80+ a month. So worth it!! Dealing with Elevation Solar has been a good experience. Jocelyn at Elevation is awesome. She was the one that would call and give us updates and if we he questions she would answer them or get us the answers. The other staff there whom I've encountered are all very pleasant people. The contractors they use were great guys. I actually get to use them/see them again do to hail damage. I like knowing it's the same people and not all new ones. I also appreciate getting the follow up calls and asking if everything is going well. My only complaint I've had was about our sales person but everyone else has been very pleasant to work with. read more

The representative, Manual Serrano, did not keep appointments, had the company bill me for three months when I had not had service for two months. The billing document sent after two months did not list the service dates on the month charged. The representative registered, posing for me, me online and charging my bank account for a month's service with no authorization. This company is not good, corrupt. Beware! read more

Everything was great through the purchasing portion. Once we signed the paperwork it all went downhill. It has been a year since signing and we still don't have fully functioning solar. Our inverter was bad which took them months to realize. Today was supposed to be a final walk through and the tech has been on my roof for quite some time working with power tools. I have asked MULTIPLE times for a supervisor to call me and still nothing. I was given a "refund" check for the lost solar but their "equation" was very fishy and the check took longer than it should have. I will not recommend this company to anyone, in fact I will make sure to do my best to turn them away. During the insulation install they contracted the installers got insulation all over our closet and clothes and didn't even make an attempt to clean it up. I was given a gift card to make up for that but still finding insulation in some clothes I don't wear as often. read more

3 months ago we bought a home from Offer Pad who also is an owner of Elevation Solar. They put solar on our house before we bought it and had to take on a 20 year lease. Funny thing is that we only had 14 panels and for our 2,600 sq ft house, we need 38 panels. We paid almost $400 between our electric bill and the $100 we were paying toward solar. Since Offer Pad were the owners (Brian Bair) of our home, when they put the solar on, they got the rebate. And we just got f!#@$*#. Well we called them out on it and told us they should have put 22 panels but could only fit 14. But thought it was ok to go ahead and put only 14 panels which leaves the owner with the 20 year lease losing money every month. And then they came and said Opps we were charging you too much a month. They have lied and lied and lied. They slipped and told us today that they could put a lot more panels on but don't do that on Offer Pad homes. Hmmmm! They removed our solar panels today and released us from the lease per our request but did a horrible job patching up their mess and told us, they didn't crack any tiles. When we requested walking the roof with them, we found 3 cracked tiles. read more
