However, the rest has been a mess…read more When I arrived for my first appointment, I was greeted and soon enough shown to where I'd be getting my cleaning done. The gentleman they assigned to me spent a lot of time fumbling around while trying to finish my x-rays. Then he said he used to be a dentist abroad (that actually gives me a lot of confidence so I was excited hear that) and he is either getting licensed or something here in the states. Eventually, he goes to get help from one of their more experience hygienists. She comes in and tells me that he actually wasn't supposed to be doing x-rays on me. I don't know the details nor doesn't matter. But it ended up taking a lot of extra time for her to discover this so that way I could get my x-rays finished and have the cleaning done. I think they were already behind schedule well over 30 minutes on my cleaning which might be what had triggered her to check in and see what was going on. I've always loved going to the dentist but between the x-rays and a number of other issues I felt uneasy when I left. Later on, I had a conversation with somebody from their office and I was very turned off and didn't want to proceed. So I wanted to cancel the appointments. I distinctly remember saying let's not do this appointment. Please cancel it. A while later, I get a recon confirmation email so I wrote back with simply one word, "cancel." Then I get another response asking when I'd like to reschedule. Remember: I've talked to them on the phone months in advance of this appointment and they did still did not remove me from the schedule as I had explicitly requested. So my response wasn't as friendly as I tend to be. But my patience was gone, and when I started typing, my mother came out lol. Additionally, today on January 13, 2025 I received a phone call and then a text message from them because they wanted to schedule. Now this is after I received the final email from Vohla where she expressed her anger at me responding to them reiterating that I want to cancel. You'd think they would add me to a do not call list but nope: they didn't do that either. I guess not respecting their patient's explicit requests is their brand. All I want is for them to leave me alone. I've chosen another provider and it's been great with them. However this office will not leave me along. It's like a clingy ex who doesn't have the wherewithal to understand the relationship is over. Ew.

And that it was small enough to treat with the cavity paste! This practice desperately wants your money. Do not trust them. The office is nice. Booked a cleaning but instead it took almost two hours to do a consultation and was told I had to book another appointment to actually do the cleaning! Maybe it was a misunderstanding on my part but it was frustrating.

They performed a deep cleaning, which was incredibly painful, and then put fillings in two of my teeth. Both of those fillings fell out within six months. I stopped visiting the clinic after that. I went to a different dentist, who told me that my teeth did not actually need crowns, and that the process of putting them in would have destroyed my teeth. Now, suddenly a year later, Dentologie has sent me an additional invoice for 136 dollars without any further explanation. I am really not sure what they are up to. I am really not sure what Dentologie is upto. But I always tell people to be aware of this "business".

During the conversation, she expressed that she was tired of speaking with us and asked what we hoped to gain from the conversation, which made me feel dismissed and devalued as a patient. At one point, it also felt as though she was attempting to end or hang up on the conversation rather than help find a resolution. Please do not perceive like there was an attempt to resolve the situation on Google reviews by asking me to call the office. Because of the negative interaction with El, I would prefer for a different staff member or member of management to contact me moving forward, as I have already made the effort to call the office myself in hopes of resolving this matter respectfully. As of this review 5/29, it has been 24 hours since this unfortunate and distressing situation occurred at ORA Dental Studio Gold Coast, and no one from the office has attempted to reach out to resolve the matter, despite the fact that I made the initial phone call after the interaction in an effort to address the issue with their front office team professionally and respectfully. As a healthcare provider, it is in the best interest of any practice to value, retain, and care for its patients. Unfortunately, this experience reinforced my belief that this business operates more transactionally than relationally. Their poor communication affected not only one patient, but two, and at no point was there accountability taken for the clear miscommunication. What was most disappointing was being met with a lack of respect, empathy, humility, professionalism, and compassion throughout the situation. Long-term loyalty no longer appears to matter to this office, despite years of support and trust placed in their care. To further add to the frustration, I even requested copies of my dental X-rays yesterday and still have not received a response from the office staff. The continued lack of communication and follow-through has only added to the disappointment surrounding this entire experience. Patients deserve compassion, communication, professionalism, grace, and understanding -- especially long-term loyal patients. Employees should never be placed in positions where they stop viewing their work as a calling to serve others and begin seeing it only as a paycheck. First: The office is amazing! Clean, stylish and tailored around the ultimate patient experience. The dental suites have massage chairs, Netflix and just overall esthetically pleasing. Second: The front desk staff are stupid kind and beyond professional! They work extremely hard to ensure the patient experience is spot on. From making the appointment to explaining billing and overall ensuring your comfort; from entering to exiting the facility. Lastly: The actually dental procedures are amazing (if one can even say that about oral healthcare). The dental assistants are phenomenal. They are friendly, engaging and serious about their craft. They make sure you are comfortable, understand what is happening and keep you informed of the next steps. Now, for Dr.Grason, the women of the hour, she is hands down the best dentist I have ever had. Her tiny hands preform oral miracles; painlessly and effortlessly. Before the appointment, Seida repeatedly assured me the office would submit a pre-estimate to insurance and only charge me my patient responsibility amount. After multiple calls with my insurance company, it was discovered Brighter Dental had been faxing the paperwork to the wrong number. The issue was finally corrected during a conference call with insurance and the office. Despite the pre-estimate being approved before my appointment, I was told by Seida and Luca that I had to pay the full amount upfront or they would not proceed. Seida claimed no memory of the aforementioned conference call, and I had no choice but to pay or remain untreated and in pain. At my follow-up appointment, insurance had already paid the claim electronically, but the office delayed reimbursing the overpayment and gave conflicting timelines for a refund. They also refused to refund the original credit card and insisted on mailing a check instead. After repeated vague promises and no reimbursement, I was forced to dispute the charge with my credit card company. Due to their refusal to honor the insurance allowed amounts, I overpaid by several hundred dollars. I later received a threatening letter accusing me of fraud because of the charge dispute, even though the office had still not refunded the overpayment at the time of the dispute. This was a disturbing experience.
