I had an excellent experience at Ora. I was able to do all of the paperwork digitally, prior to my appointment! Jordan, my hygienist was very kind and gentle when cleaning/flossing. I'm happy to have a great Dental Office nearby! They also gave me a gift bag with a toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss on my way out! read more

Don't be enamored by their fancy new office. Terrible customer experience. My wife got Invisalign and they screwed up the billing. Took almost a year of constant back and forth to be reimbursed properly. I've had back-to-back terrible hygienist experiences. Used to be amazing, but ever since the move to the new office, they upsell you on services outside of insurance coverage and charge you more the next time. Stay far away. read more

They always call to cancel and reschedule my appointments, dirty space and my hygienist just broke a piece of floss in my mouth and wouldn't remove it. Doctor took 20 minutes to come in and see me after my polishing. I have been here for cleanings three times and tried to give them another chance since I live across the street. I won't be going back. Positives: location and nice front desk staff. Negatives: have had a sub par/bad experience each visit read more

My treatment and customer service experience were consistently despicable. I received three different versions of a bite splint, all three were radically incorrect. Ora reluctantly refunded me for the first two and refused to refund the third. I spoke with Invisalign, the company that produced the 3rd device and was told by their customer support that the product sold to me is not intended for bruxism(clenching) and that they spoke with Ora Dental--and that I should follow up with the office manager there. When I did so, I was told: "Unfortunately there is nothing more we can do for you at this time". Yes, Ora Dental can definitely see you and produce a bite guard but they can not be relied upon to do it correctly. I now own a box of Invisalign dental retainers which are utterly useless for my condition. Fortunately, this horrible experience led me to an experienced dentist who competently diagnosed my issue and fit me for the appropriate bite splint with one visit--a radical departure from my multi-month journey of incompetency at Ora Dental River North. My dentist was Matthew Feigenbaum DDS, and I do want to say that he is a very nice guy but he simply lacks experience, and it shows. read more

Been going there for a year for 4-5 appointments; every time i got rescheduled, scheduled for something else that i dont need or cancelled (doctors not showing up, leaking, no power - all different reasons they can say). the management of this studio is beyond horrible and not sure how this stays in business. Would not recommend wasting your time there. read more

This is everything you want your modern dental office to be! From Dr. Fakhoury, the hygienists, front desk staff, facilities, and ease of scheduling - all top notch! Dr. Fakhoury is a personable and highly skilled dentist that really listens to his patients. Before going to see Dr. Fakhoury, I hadn't been getting regular dental care for a few years and this resulted in my dental health not being in peak form. After thorough assessments, I required several fillings and crowns to repair the damage done due to grinding my teeth and drinking way too many carbonated beverages. I was extremely nervous getting so much work done, but Dr. Fakhoury made himself available countless times to answer the many questions I've had. I've also had the pleasure of getting Invisalign aligners under the care of Dr. Fakhoury. His knowledge and skill in arranging the most efficient Invisalign course is second to none! This office also has begun to provide Botox treatments which have been helpful for masseter muscle relaxation (for tooth grinding) as well as cosmetic treatments. I've had the benefit of both and have been thoroughly impressed with the results thus far! I've gotten several cleanings by Jordan as well, and she is the sweetest! She makes getting your teeth cleaned an enjoyable experience, which I didn't think was possible. Also, she is very knowledgable. There are so many home cleaning devices on the market and she was able to explain the benefits of each one and which ones you could probably do without. As someone who has worked with nearly every member of the staff for my dental needs, I'd highly recommend Ora River North! read more

I had a great experience with Dr. F and the dental hygienist that did my cleaning. Appointment check in and forms were a smooth process, the appointment started on time, and the hygienist did a great job explaining what she was doing as she went. Clean environment. Would recommend. read more

Clean quick professional. Very updated new technology with awesome staff. All you could ask for in a dentist.

Beautiful office (which incidentally smells amazing) and caring staff. Dr. Fakhoury is so easy going and friendly. I have been to lots of top tier dentists throughout the years and this one by far is the best. I have never seen so many advanced technologies and equipment! Hoping to be able to continue with this practice in the future. read more

I recently got my cleaning done from this dental office and I have to say that Leah the dental hygienist is one of the most professional people I know. Throughout the whole process of my dental cleaning I felt at ease, as Leah made me feel comfortable and relaxed while cleaning my teeth. Needless to say, I'd say she's a fabulous dental hygienist with how I was treated today and I will definitely be back to see her especially for all my dental cleanings from now on. Thanks again Leah!! read more

Overall an excellent experience at ORA Dental Studio - River North. The space is beautiful, super clean, and has a nice upscale vibe. The staff were friendly and helpful from start to finish. Highly recommend Dr Fakhoury and the team at the River North office. read more

If I ever move from Chicago, I'm taking this entire office, staff included, with me! The e-forms (paperless) are so easy to manage. The staff, from the minute you arrive to the minute you leave, the care from Dr. Fakhoury, the hygienists, the sunglasses, the music. Stop looking around for great care. Do yourself a favor and head to this office. You will not want to leave. Only downside to their IMPECCABLE COVID protocols... I can't hug them! They're so so so lovely! read more

I just switched to this dentist and I am very happy with my decision. The office is clean and the staff is kind. Very happy with my choice to switch and would highly recommend this practice. read more

I love Dr. Patel. First off I have a small jaw & she has tiny hands = win. The office is beautiful and well taken care of. The staff is always super friendly. I've had work done and Dr. Patel always explains everything. She seems passionate about what she does. She's even taken time to answer questions by my honey who has a different dentist and she told him to tell his dentist what she said. How super cool of her. I opted to go with invisaliners to correct some crookedness and 17 weeks later close to perfection. I wasn't super happy with 2 teeth and no problem. Dr. Patel rescanned my teeth to do more correcting. Whats a few more weeks for perfection? I also really like the hygienist Leah, besides having an awesome name (grin) she is very detailed which appeals to my pickiness. read more

Couldn't have asked for a more pleasant experience! Dr. Andrew Fakhoury is one of the best and friendliest dentist I've have ever had. From the moment he entered the room, he made me feel comfortable with friendly conversation followed a educated explanation of any dental issues and the appropriate treatment plan. I would highly recommend scheduling a dental appointment with Dr. Andrew Fakhoury read more

Really friendly staff. Very reasonably priced and my teeth feel sparkly after leaving my appointment. The doctor is super super nice and knowledgeable. Ask for the hygienist Leah, she is by far the best here. Very detail oriented and very gentle. I wouldn't trust anyone else to clean my teeth besides her. Love this place! 25 of of 10! read more

Let's just say from the customer service to the dental hygienist Mark and the actual Doctor which was Dr. Fakhoury just AMAZING. My experience was great, very clean, attentive and understanding. With me getting anxiety with dental visits they was so nice and easy going. Ora Dental made my experience wonderful and this will be my dentist until I just loose all of my teeth lol. read more

I had a 3pm appointment at Ora and I waited in the lobby till 3.50 pm when I ran out of patience and I left. When I initially asked I was told by the person at the reception that there was a slight delay and it will be 10 more mins but I ended up waiting 50 mins! I told them that I have a baby at home and I cant wait for this long and that they should have called me to reschedule. The response was: "We have a lot going on and we could not have known about the delay beforehand"! I was reminded 3 times this week about the appointment and how they would charge me a 50 dollar cancellation fee/no show fee if I dont reach in time but it seemed ok to them for me to wait for 50 mins. Truly disappointing! read more

I'm currently getting additional reconstructive dental work done ($2k!) on the work they did less than a year ago. Mainly due to the mixing of materials in my old and their new fillings + their new restorations contained air bubbles. Aka: a breeding ground for bacteria! I wasn't in pain yet, but a quick look at how dark one tooth was getting along the restoration line after going to a new dentist made it very clear that I was close to being in a TON of pain if I hadn't gone in for a regular cleaning. I'm sure their work caused at least one additional cavity to form faster than needed. Everyone was nice that I worked with, but the work leaves a literal bad taste in my mouth. Just horribly sloppy work. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Patel since she was at the Ora south loop office and followed her to this office, which is brand new. I have had both cosmetic and medical work done by her and can attest that she does a great job. She has a wonderful bedside manner and will take time to explain and answer any questions about your care. I would recommend her to any of my friends and family. I just had my first visit at the new river north location and it was a great experience from beginning to end. First, the office is beautiful; its brand new with state of the art equipment, flat screen TVs, and refreshments. Second, everyone who works there is friendly, helpful, and committed to making sure you have a good experience. They're really great about working with your insurance plan to make sure you don't have to deal with any hassles. Although they offer cosmetic procedures they don't put any pressure whatsoever unless this is something you're interested in. They have flexible hours and Dr. Patel usually runs right on time so it's easy to fit visits into your busy schedule. Overall, coming here was a much different and better experience than I've had with dental offices in the past. You will receive great care in a friendly, comfortable setting. read more

Although the staff is very nice, I had a filling done a month ago and it was NOT a job well done. I have been in pain ever since I left and CAN'T CHEW ON THE LEFT SIDE OF MY MOUTH! So I called and tried to get an appointment and it is just nearly impossible to get back in there. You would think if they messed something up they would want to get you in RIGHT AWAY to make things right. Apparently not here. Here I am going on three weeks (Still not able to chew) trying to get in because they won't work around my schedule. I have to go back to get this fixed, but I will NOT be returning after and will tell everyone else throughout my friends and company not to use this dental company. read more

First off, any company that bothers their patients multiple times after an appointment to write a review is just wrong. The place is modern and they have great technology but that's it. It's a chain and I don't find the people very professional. When they cleaned my teeth they did it in 1/5 the time of any other dental practices I have visited. When I got a filling, it was painful! The dentist didn't leave the numbing gel on long enough and then she hit my nerve which felt like I had been electrocuted. When I was leaving the dentist responded by saying well at least you aren't leaving in pain. Well yes that is a good thing but why should there have been pain at all? The lady at the front desk also said well just be glad we aren't in the 1800s. Off to find a new dentist! read more

I've never liked going to the dentist but once I started going here I really look forward to my semi annual visits. Everyone makes you feel super comfortable and at home. It's a great experience from the second you walk in door. read more

I had my very first cavity and was honestly pretty worried about the whole process, but Dr. Andrew Fakhoury and my hygienist Jordan were so friendly and reassuring. When I had my cavity filled (shoutout to my assistant Erika), I felt literally nothing. I didn't even know they were using a needle for the local anesthetic - I just assumed it was a spray or gel! I was so impressed with Dr. Fakhoury and his staff that I have decided to switch over my Botox (forehead, smile lines) to here. read more

Dr. Patel and her staff are seriously amazing! This is probably the best, most comfortable experience I have ever had with a dentist and dental office. I have periodontal disease and needed to get a series of deep cleanings done (which can be both stressful and expensive) and Dr. Patel and her office worked with me to schedule cleanings around my work schedule- and their very busy schedule- as well as did a great job of explaining the payments and process to me. I think my teeth are going to be doing much better and I will be coming here forever! Thank you ladies :) read more

I love this place. I came here on a recommendation from a coworker, as my office is two blocks away, and I wanted a dentist that was nearby. My appointment began with a cleaning from a hygienist, who was very thorough and gave me a lot of advice on what I was doing well and what I could do to improve. Dr. Patel was also very kind and professional, and she explained everything in a way that was easy for me to understand. If you care about sustainability, this office also does a great job! They are (almost) 99% paperless! All of the check-in paperwork is done online, and so is the billing. The only piece of paper that I had to touch was a receipt for me to provide my signature. I would hope that they can accept electronic signatures in the future, but for now, I'm happy with the paperwork they have eliminated thus far! read more

I popped in today to see about scheduling an appointment, and they were able to schedule me for the same day! Great, I think, after filling out the paperwork online (with a little warning about insurance not always covering X-Rays) I come back for my appointment. They were running 15 min late, which is understandable. But when I tried to refuse the x-rays the office manager came back to "talk to me". Honestly, I could have been talked into it, I know they are important etc, etc. But they pulled out the big guns. "It's the law". I found it very unlikely that a government body would mandate that I don't have the right to medical treatment if I refuse x-rays. (I used to work in hospice, so patient rights are a little bit of a trigger for me) I will pay the cancelation fee and remove this review if someone can show me that law. County? State? Federal? But right now, Google is telling me "no". That the office manager just lied to bully me into their company policy. read more

Dr. Patel and her staff are wonderful - professional, friendly, and thorough. I've had fillings, routine cleanings, and now recently started Invisalign. Dr. Patel takes the time to carefully explain procedures in detail prior to starting so that there are no surprises. Dr. Patel is extremely knowledgeable and I trust her professional opinion. I am halfway through my Invisalign treatment plan and the entire process thus far has been smooth. Dr. Patel does excellent work and I highly recommend her and her team! read more

Love this place. Dr. Patel is so pleasant, incredibly talented and has a great bedside manner. She has helped me on several occasions, from cleanings to a root canal and a crown. I moved 30 miles away but still come back to this practice :) Highly recommended. read more

This was a very efficient visit. I did not wait for long before I was called by a hygienist. The office is modern, the equipment is modern. It is a good place. Dr. Patel is nice. They did try to upsell me with fluoride ($20) and bone cancer screening ($30). I wish those were included with the regular check-up. read more

Dr. Fakhoury was by far the nicest dentist I've ever had. He explained everything to me in a way I could understand. My old dentist would just make a treatment plan for me and I would show up not knowing what I have to pay or what I needed done. This is not the case at Ora River North! All the staff is so friendly and you truly feel they are there to help (and that they want to). I am excited to make this office my permanent one and to have Dr. Fakhoury doing my treatment. I feel confident that he will do great dental work and that the staff will take care of the rest for me. read more

Initially I had a great experience at Ora Dental. My hygienist was incredibly kind and explained everything to me. I had to come back for some fillings and other work. The dentist did these procedures incredibly fast, it almost seemed as though it was a race to see how fast he could finish. I don't understand why he was going so quickly, made me feel unvalued as a patient. It made me incredibly uncomfortable as I didn't feel I was getting the best care I could have for the money I'm paying. One of the assistants also kept pulling her mask down to speak to me, and was wearing her mask under nose the whole time while one foot away from my face. I felt incredibly unsafe as I cannot wear my mask while at the dentist, and I expected more from a medical office. I will be finding a new dentist, and I highly recommend to go somewhere else if you need other procedures done besides a cleaning. read more

Love it. The office is clean, modern, and very comfortable. The staff is incredibly nice and professional and they don't try to upsell you to buy a bunch of add-ons that you don't really need. read more

I went to Ora for a replacement crown. The lobby is beautiful and the office looks brand new. I really wanted to enjoy my experience here, but a few things were a disappointing. I booked an appointment 4 weeks out and when I got to the day Dr. Patel was unable to make it. No biggie, I understood and rescheduled for three weeks later but I was in pain. Then when I got to my second appointment someone else was filling in for Dr. Patel. The procedure was suppose to last one hour and it turned in to 2.5 hours and I was numbed 4 different times. It's been a week since the procedure and my mouth has been "ripped" and I have a cut at the corner of my mouth. It's painful and hoping it heals quick. Not sure if I'll be going back. read more

I love this dentist office. The staff is so kind and professional. They don't overcharge you for extra services you don't need. The dentist here is very honest. The office itself is beautiful with brand new equipment. I'm moving away and I'm so sad to leave this office as I find it so hard to find a good dentist. I highly recommend Ora! read more

Dr Priyanka Patel - Dentist. Not only as a patient but also as a medical professional I have observed her work. She listens the patient and examines all the teeth very carefully. Bad experience: my doctor didn't go over the clincheck with me (view of what your teeth will look like after the Invisalign plan). She could have emailed it or scheduled an appointment to review. Instead she ordered full plan of trays for a treatment I didn't want. The treatment showed that she didn't listen when I explained what I wanted. Wish I rejected it and asked for a new plan but accepted it thinking she did what was best. Now my teeth have uneven IPR and and little room to go back to the plan I would have wanted. Also, every other time I go in, people don't know why I'm there, eg are you here for a consultation? No. And my claim wasn't processed properly, not sure if that's the fault of my insurance or Ora but it very much became my problem. Overall, I would recommend avoiding due to the lack of a customized treatment plan (if you're at all picky like me) and lack of anyone who cares when you are having a bad experience. read more
