They said I had EIGHT cavities and needed treatment that totaled up to 6k (it was Invisalign). When I went back to my family dentist, he looked at my teeth and told me I only had ONE! And that it was small enough to treat with the cavity paste! This practice desperately wants your money. Do not trust them. The office is nice. Booked a cleaning but instead it took almost two hours to do a consultation and was told I had to book another appointment to actually do the cleaning! Maybe it was a misunderstanding on my part but it was frustrating. read more

This was the BEST DENTAL EXPERIENCE I've ever had. I came in for a normal cleaning and check up. As soon as I walked in, Jay at the front desk was friendly and upbeat. She really set a great atmosphere. Then Carla, my hygienist came and gave me X-rays and a cleaning. She was thorough and very professional. Dr. Ranganathan then came and checked my teeth. She explained everything she was doing in detail, and gave me fantastic and simple instructions on how to take care of my teeth. She was professional and extremely knowledgeable. It was a painless, easy, and extremely well put together experience. And the view--over Millennium Park--can't be beat! read more

I switched to Dr Gordon's office as my dental hygienist (Delia - who is great!) started working here and my insurance said it was in network. After my visit I received a bill stating that it was not in network, I contacted the office via email and phone several times without someone getting back to me. During my visit, they took pictures, which is what my bill was for I believe, and I never saw those pictures. I have never had to pay a dental office for anything since I got my new employer insurance plan 6 years prior, so I thought it was strange. I just paid eventually and did not make further fuss or schedule an appt for cavity filling. In the office, the dentist, who was nice and seem intelligent and knew what he was doing, told me I had 7 cavities which was an absurd amount bc I was going to the dentist every 6 months, use an electric toothbrush, waterpick and floss daily! I had to get a second opinion! Just got around to it 1.5 years later... Second opinion said I had 2 (understandable since I hadn't gone to dentist in 1.5 years) significantly less than 7. Do not trust this office, they just want your money. Everyone was nice and professional in the office, good customer service and all but when it came to billing it was really shady. I am sad to not see Delia anymore but have found another dental office that I trust, who is transparent with my bill and costs before any service is performed. Also, I see the office replies to negative reviews on here and the way they speak to unhappy customers is quite telling... read more

For several years I was a patient of Dr Gordon. I can no longer recommend his services as a simple clerical error led to a series of frustrating calls with the admin staff and ended with being accused of nefarious intentions. They became confrontational and lacked any desire to discuss rationally. In a final email from the Dr it became clear that the attitude I encountered from his admin was a simple echo of the Dr himself. Find another practice as your provider is my advice read more

Dr. Gordon has been my dentist for over 30!years. My teeth weren't in great shape when I started with him and he's restored them completely to good condition. Great service and wonderful staff, so kind and welcoming as a first time patient. Definitely recommend!

I've been going to Dr. Gordon for about two years now on the recommendation of my dental hygienist Delia and I have to say it was a great decision with no regrets, thanks Delia. Dr. Gordon is very thorough and makes sure you are comfortable with what he is doing. He also explains everything step by step very well and is right on point. He is one of the best Dentist I have seen and I would definitely recommend him to anyone. The staff and everyone is great as well. Keep up the good work and thanks. Michael M. read more

After moving to Chicago a few years ago, I had to find a new dentist in the area. I chose Dr. Gordon because he was in my HMO Dental network and around the corner from my office. Plus, (at the time) he had fairly decent Yelp reviews. Little did I know I was walking to into a scam of a dentist's office. When I made my appointment, I was told I would have to do a new-patient exam, which included my x-ray and an assessment before my cleaning. They said there would be a small fee not covered by my insurance. So, when I got there things seemed very normal, hygienist did a good job, but a $250 first patient exam fee, and that doesn't include my cleaning/x-rays?! Oh, and BTW, that fancy x-ray is not covered by your insurance plan either. So, I then had to schedule an actual appointment a few weeks later to get my cleaning done, which they decided I needed a deep-clean of my teeth and we needed to get FOUR cavities filled. Here are the issues with this diagnosis: 1. I've been to the dentist twice a year, every year at this point. During these exams, I've gotten all the treatments I needed without any sort of suggestion that my teeth were in anything but great shape. 2. My x-rays that I had six months prior suggested nothing close to a cavity on the film. Plus, I haven't had a single cavity in my lifetime. So, considering I'd still been brushing and not chowing down on soda/sugar cubes, I'd say it's odd I suddenly had four cavities. Anyways, I got the "deep cleaning", which came with some non FDA/Dental Association approved oxygen treatment that cost me an extra like $100+ out of pocket. Even though it seemed the exact same as my normal cleanings back home with a special rinse at the end. Oh yeah, and she also tried to sell me fancy toothpicks, a power toothbrush and some other dental gadgets while I was in the chair. Overall, I left with $350+ in out-of-pocket costs and a projected $1,200 bill to get the four cavities I had filled as well. THIS IS WITH MY INSURANCE FACTORED IN. Are you kidding me?! Needless to say I got a second opinion from my dentist back home. After a quick exam and an x-ray from him, he found only one cavity (still sad about it since it's my first). Much different from what Dr. Gordon gave me. I got that one cavity filled back home for a whopping $160 out-of-network with the x-ray and consultation included. Overall, this dentist is scamming you into services you don't need and trying to get the most money out of your pocket. If I could give him less than one star, I would. Frankly, I probably need to report him to the Better Business Bureau. read more

Dr. Gordon boasts nice facilities overlooking Millennium Park but, apparently, the only way to finance those digs is to pass along the cost to the customer. For 3 years, I wound up paying $150 for each 6 month regular cleaning despite having Delta Dental insurance. I could see my old family dentist in the suburbs for $90 per cleaning WITHOUT insurance. Dr. Gordon also applies consistent pressure to have unnecessary work done. I've never had a cavity in my 30 years (having visited the dentist regularly throughout my life) yet, upon seeing Dr. Gordon, he recommends 6-8 fillings, 2 of which I almost went ahead with. There was no pain and no exterior openings to said internal cavities yet he insisted on having the work done or risk future root canals. Fortunately, I received a second opinion from a dentist who said only the most aggressive dentists (1 in 10) would pursue that course. Kyle (sp?), one of Dr. Gordon's oral hygienists, is the only reason I kept coming back, but even she couldn't ameliorate the filling episode. read more

I was so worried about the damage to my tooth and afraid that the only solution was to have a crown. I was able to get an appointment very quickly. I love Dr. Gordon and his staff. Very welcoming and put my anxieties at ease. Like many of us, I hate, hate, HATE dentists. A necessary evil in my humble opinion. But this office has helped sway me a little. They actually stay by your side for nearly the entire appointment. No "let me give you a shot of Novocaine and disappear for twelve hours while you wait for it to work..." Nope- Patty and/or Dr. Gordon stay right there with you. It's so nice for someone like me who gets so anxious about medicine- even when I take Tylenol! They are very attentive and put your comfort first. Dr. G is also super fast, but thorough (he has done a filling in under 30 minutes for me!). The receptionist, Sherry, is great and very careful to explain everything you need to know re: cost, apptmt possibilities, etc. AND, she learns your name and remembers it! Despite having moved to the northern suburbs eight or nine years ago, I still make the haul downtown to see Dr. Gordon. With Sherry's cheerful demeanor at the front desk, Patty and Kyle's attentive, thorough cleanings, and the amount of time Dr. Gordon gives each of his patients and their concerns, I'm happy that this has been the office taking care of my teeth for most of my life. Most of all, I have a strong appreciation of Dr. Gordon's embrace of new technologies. Dedicated to being as minimally invasive as possible in his procedures, Dr. Gordon always is on top of new techniques to make his patients more comfortable and enhance their smiles. Add in the beautiful new decor and one of the most amazing views in the city of the lakefront, parts of the skyline, and Millennium Park, and you have a truly winning experience. read more

Would give zero or minus stars if I could. Both my wife and I received very poor service. When my wife complained on a follow up survey, the dentist, Gordon, left her one snitty voice mail then berated her over the phone real time. She never did get the service she originally went in for but paid 100's of dollars for "service" she didn't request. This after receiving billing with NO explanation of what the bill was for. At one point they tried to put her bill on my bill; it took me awhile to figure out why my bill did not add up until I noticed what they were doing. I originally went in for pain in my lower left mouth, and after more than $1,000 in treatments I still have discomfort there. He also offered to provide a checkup and cleaning for $225; I agreed, but was later billed for nearly three times that much. I was also sent a detail-free invoice. When I complained about the invoice, and again after I complained about the over billing, he sent me abusive, mendacious emails threatening to send collection agencies after me and further threatening to triple the amount of the over-billing as a "late fee". The tone of his belligerence and threats was very similar to his answers to the negative reviews here on Yelp. In fact, it is interesting that the negative reviews here on Yelp closely track what happened to us: poor service, vague invoices, overcharges, and being verbally derided and threatened. I WOULD STAY AWAY FROM THIS DENTIST. read more

I was referred to Dr. Gordon because like most people I'm afraid! I was so pleased! He explained the whys of my problems. Put me at ease because he explained everything so well! Helped me prioritize and his staff was very helpful and sensitive to my fears! I strongly recommend Dr. Gordon, especially if you are afraid of the dentist. I also learned how those silver old fillings release harmful fumes. I read the book he recommended, by Dr. Tom McGuire. Always felt mercury was not a good thing to have in your body! No issues with my insurance! He is very considerate with my financial situation and my dental fears. Thank you Dr. Gordon and staff! read more

Absolutely feel at home at this dental office. The receptionist is amazingly kind and patient. I have had cleanings done by multiple of the hygienists here and they are very experienced and VERY knowledgeable. They take a full hour to thoroughly clean your teeth from every angle and beneath the gum line. On my last visit, I really made them work because I've been drinking fruit smoothies every day since my last appointment and admittedly not keeping up as well as I should be with oral hygiene. This resulted in a black line outlining the lining of my gums on the insides of my teeth. Walked out with all of that gone and as if I had a new set of teeth. Definitely the boost i needed to get on top of my oral routine. Dr. Gordon is incredible as well. Very personable, very honest, and very skilled. Millennium Dentistry is top notch. It's a professional, competent organization with friendly, caring staff.

Once again, I had a great experience at millennium park dental. I have been following Delia around for years. Not only is she the most thorough dental hygienist I have ever met, it she is a deeply caring and beautiful person. She really is passionate about her vocation. I am so glad she introduced me to doctor Gordon. Yesterday, I was sure that I would have to have a crown. Instead, he was able to evaluate the problem and treat things much more conservatively. I was thrilled not to have to do any major work. Beyond this, all the extra precautions for safety that they take was no surprise. I recently moved to Chicago and was worried about finding a good dentist out here. I have visited Dr. Gordon's office twice and am really pleased with the care and attention I have received. I have put off going to the dentist for far too long (and wanted to put it off even longer, but had a toothache). I was impressed by the thoroughness of the exam. I was concerned about costs due to the fact that I don't have comprehensive dental insurance, but the office was willing to work with me. I've been going to Dr. Gordon for years for my abysmal teeth. While going to the dentist is never a treat, he has always given terrific service at a price that, if not inexpensive, is along the lines of other dentists in the Loop. I have never had any dentist explain things nearly as much as they do. Most dentist just tell you you need something and then do it. These amazing professionals tell you why they're doing everything. I learned so much everytime I go there I feel like I should pay for a class! Pros: AMAZING dental hygentist- (Kyle), high tech office with latest tools and modern facilities. Dr Gordon is very pleasent to communicate with and performs all prodecures in a above average manner. Cons: Front desk office person can be rude and all out mean to communicate with, ESPECIALLY when it comes to discussing your dental insurance/claims. Costs for services are not always properly discussed ahead of time leaving you stuck with unexpected charges. Finally: THIS OFFICE DOES NOT BILL INSURANCE. ALL PAYMENTS DUE AT TIME OF SERVICE. **HUGE INCONVIENIENCE! Which means, you pay up front for any and all services, they submit a claim to your insurance agency with the amount they billed you, and you WAIT to be reimbursed (based on what you qualify for) by your dental carrier- weeks later! The dental service I received here was excellent, but the problem lies within their billing practices and communication. And if you can't afford to pay all your services up fron everytime because your Dentist no longer bills insurance, your dental hygiene is what ends up suffering- along with your wallet. I am aware that "some" dentists over the years have resorted to this kind of medical billing, and I also know that it has cost them many patients simply because the Dentists do not want to agree to "Usual and Customary" fees in contract with Dental Providers, or wait to be reiumbursed; passing that inconvienience onto their patients- which has been done at this office. I have since switched Dental offices to a highly reviewed office I found here on Yelp (Downtown Dental- 25 E. Washington), which DOES bill my insurance and has the most pleasent front desk staff I've ever delt with- and amazing doctors and hygienists. They also discuss every cost upfront with you down to the penny before they will perform any work that may not be covered by your insurance. However I don't really run into this problem anymore as I just go in three times a year for my cleanings that are covered by my insurance in full. In summary: If you can afford to pay for all your dental work in cash/credit every visit and don't mind dealing with a snooty receptionist, Dr. Gordon is a great pick and his hygentist is well above average in the services she provides. On a side note (like another yelper) I too was contacted by Dr. Gordon about my review on Yelp and was also called from a blocked number. I think some business owners need to understand why YELP was created- not only to review the business and share the expierience, but because not everyone is comfortable discussing their frustrations and concerns (especially about money/billing) in person (or a rude receptionist), at an office, with other people you don't know. read more

I agree with many of the previous reviews. The main incentive here seems to be getting as much money out of their clients as possible. From the moment you step foot through the door, to the moment you leave, they are trying to sell you on something. I switched from a dentist of 10+ years because of new employment, insurance, etc. That dentist was much more conservative. I get cavities, but my biannual visits typically resulted in a minor filling or a "you've got a tiny cavity that we'll watch and possibly fix in six months". My first visit here resulted in finding seven cavities. SEVEN?! I can appreciate and understand that the laser technology that they use is capable of finding the smallest of cavities, but going on past experience...this definitely seemed fishy. The deep, below the gum-line cleaning that the receptionist, Sherry, tried to sell me (and then made me feel horrible for declining) is humorous. Supposedly, the free cleaning that I've been receiving twice a year, my entire life, is not good enough. This cleaning, the cost of which depends on the health of my teeth, is fit for adults. I believe it was close to $200 per quadrant. Even the hygienist is in on the money grabbing scheme. I have a Sonicare toothbrush that I absolutely love, but they endorse Oral B here. So each visit I received the same annoying sales pitch. I appreciate the advice and suggestion, but there is definitely an ulterior motive at work here. I was also bombarded with rotapoints advertisements. When asked if I could visit my local CVS or Walgreens to purchase these, the hygienist remarked to only buy the ones sold in their office. Hmmm... The actual dentist (Dr. Gordon) was the only positive experience. He is very intelligent, and took time and care to divulge detailed information about my teeth. If the overall practice wasn't so centered on ripping clients off, I would have been happy continuing to give him my business. (I should also note that the records that I requested be sent to my new dentist must have gotten lost in the mail) read more

Summary: The fact that this dentist harasses his patients if they complain is true, and I have a letter on his stationary to prove it, but he was too much of a puss to actually sign it. Overall, if you have dental insurance, even if you are in network, you will pay more for services than you expect or what is explained, and you will be hard pressed to get a clear answer as to why. They do not explain the differences in cost/billing/coverage or covered procedure costs vs. recommended procedure costs. Back story: Single dentist office that requires patients to pay at time of service and bills your insurance as a "courtesy." Despite a $5.00 computer records fee, at every visit, not covered by insurance, they "have no way" to provide a detailed list of charges at the time of payment; all you get is a receipt. However, if you "request" an itemized invoice, they will send you one 10-14 days later, usually after they have billed the insurance company, but you do not receive what they send to the insurance company. Bottom line, expect to pay more for routine services; actually any service. Don't expect insurance to cover all of their miscellaneous charges, and good luck getting a straight answer if want to know what is and is not covered in advance or even after the fact. The stalwart receptionist who takes your money is well versed in the art of obfuscation and any misunderstanding or lingering questions are either your inability to understand how much money they are saving you (and she'll point that out to you multiple times) or due to the poorly trained, unresponsive staff at the insurance company (and she'll point that out to you, too). It's never their fault After you have paid, if you are lucky to receive an estimate of benefits from your insurance that matches the invoice you requested, you will see many unspecified "adjunctive" procedures, which insurance does not cover, along with their ubiquitous $5.00 computer records fee. For instance, a one surface anterior resin (a small replacement filling), cost me $165 upfront, and I was reimbursed $67.50 (contracted rate) because of charges for Ozone (and antibacterial treatment unapproved by the ADA) and the application of desensitizing medicament (topical anesthetic) applied before the Novocaine. Although I was consulted about he use of Ozone and approved it, I was not told how much it cost; moral: buyer beware, ask how much things cost while you are in the chair and don't be caught up in the razzle dazzle of how state of the art they are. So...I had a couple of thousand dollars worth of dental work to do recently, and all I wanted to know what was covered and was going to be my cost, which they are very reluctant to provide you upfront given their policy about payment at time of service. After checking with my insurance company, I requested the office do a predetermination of benefits which took almost three months. Of course this was all the insurance company's fault. This wasn't a matter of buying a Viking Stove versus two partial crowns (see comments on letter below), but simply wanting to know that I would pay my credit card bill in full out of my income or if I had to tap my savings. I did have to use my savings. Why? Because I don't make as much as a dentist, and because the preestimate of benefits, while based on the dentist's treatment plan, did not turn out to be what was ultimately covered. But that was now my problem; they were already paid and they told me to talk to the insurance company, which I already had. Based on the predetermination of benefits with the dentist and the insurance, I expected to have about to have about 50% coverage, but got about 25% back from insurance. No new Viking stove or bicycle for me this year (again, see comments on letter below). I'm not complaining about the necessity or overall quality of the work (although I'd rethink the non ADA approved use of ozone @ $55 bucks a puff), what I am astounded by are the sideshow sales tactics and how discourteously they treat patients from a business perspective. Just tell me what it's going to cost and what my insurance will pay, and oh yea, give me an invoice at the time of payment so I know, in writing, what I am paying for... The most beguiling part of this story is when I challenged Steve's billing practices for the second time, he wrote me a angry, rambling two page letter telling me what an ungrateful patient I was, how so many of his patients value expensive cars and appliances and other "toys" over paying for dental work; and how I should be THANKFUL to him for saving my teeth and saving me my money compared to what his competition charges. The problem is that he never provides any trustworthy details to prove his claims or make you believe him. I think he's been into the Ozone. Steve, because I'm pretty certain you are reading this, it's 2012, not 1995; stop nickle and diming patients, an stop harassing those who criticize you. read more

Dr. Gordon's business philosophy seems to be about billing for the most expensive services without consulting or informing the patient that x, y, z, and additional special services not covered by insurance, or even verifying if they were covered by insurance. But, we were never informed that there were even any other options available. Our "Cleaning" (which we were under the impression was a standard practice 6 month check-up cleaning) was instead filed under "periodontal scaling and root planning - four or more teeth per quadrant" = $90. There was also a liquid that the Dental Assistant squirted onto our teeth after the cleaning that was explained would disinfect the mouth "localized delivery of antimicrobial agents via a controlled release vehicle to diseased crevicular tissue, per tooth, by report" = $60. I Paid over $150 for what was suppose to be an average 6 month check-up and cleaning. When i called my insurance company they told me that an average cleaning should only cost me $30. I was blown away. It should also be noted that I asked Dr. Gordon's office to send me an itemized report of ALL of our procedures done in their office (they didn't know that i already has past receipts to compare them to). I compared the past receipts and the "new" receipts and they were riddle with changes and tampering. After they talked with our insurance company and found out what they could and couldn't charge us they tampered with the charges and changed them to benefit the office. The only thing that comes to my mind is fraud. I have since filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau AND with our Insurance company. read more

The staff is very professional and polite. They took the time to explain in detail everything that they were doing. However, I have never been to a standard annual checkup where the dentist spent the first 10 minutes presenting the specialized equipment he had shipped from overseas and pitching a non-invasive antibacterial ozone enamel restoration process (which, by the way, is an alternative treatment and is not covered by insurance). The same goes for the dental hygienist; very friendly and professional. However, half of the time I was having my teeth cleaned she was trying to sell me their 'deeply discounted' electric toothbrushes and Rotapoints which 'you can't buy anywhere else'. You can imagine my surprise when I found them on Amazon for less a few minutes after walking out of the office. The bill is still being looked into by my insurance and Patient Care for several items which I believe should be covered or that I did not consent to such as a somewhat pricey 'Controlled release of antimicrobial agents' during the cleaning which is (surprise) not covered by insurance. They probably would have sold my anything that wasn't nailed down if I had gone back for me 'free follow-up consultation'. If you're looking for a new dentist, my recommendation is to look elsewhere. These guys are more sales people than medical professionals. read more

I have just recently starting going to Dr. Gordon after failures with other dentists closer to where I live. Pretty much my entire family goes and sees him even though we live in the northern suburbs. Now, I can see why. Sherry at the front desk is such a nice, likeable, and well mannered receptionist. Kyle is an amazing hygienist. She really gives a thorough cleaning. I also really like the advice she gives to me so that I can take better care of my teeth. One suggestion that I received recently from her was the rotapoints. These tooth picks help toughen the gums and prevent gum disease! In addition to Kyle, Dr. Gordon is such a wonderful dentist. Two years ago, I consulted Dr. Gordon regarding Invisalign. I had initially called to inquire about an older, less accepted brand that I was told is no longer being used but the office was willing to work with me at the original rate for Invisalign instead and so I was sold on that front having done extensive financial research on Invisalign and the pricing in my area. I went in for my initial consultation and going Sherry (Dr. Gordon's wife I believe) to be awfully cold. She didn't warm up for several visits, particularly not until I signed for services. My reason for Invisalign was a similar one to most - I thought I was invincible at 16 and too cool to wear my retainer. I clearly had no value for the amount of money my parents had shelled out for me at the time. I had an odd case along with requests on what I was looking to do. Prior to this consult, everyone would tell me the recommended standard of care which was to treat both top and bottom teeth with traditional braces and further jaw surgery. With the way I smile (exposing my top teeth alone) and having a permanent retainer in place on the bottom teeth, that made little sense to me. Dr. Gordon was the only one who warned me (having an unaligned bite preventing me from being able to tear a piece of lettuce - which I'm used to) of what the result would be and agreed to treat my top teeth alone. In addition to that, he supported my enthusiasm to get the treatment rolling as I was going to be moving away that May. He allowed me to switch out my trays at 2 weeks and arranged for the proper follow up. Post treatment I was given a professional whitening kit with trays molded for my teeth. Good bedside manner, state of the art equipment and perfectly distracting view of millennium park. My teeth are exactly where I want them and my now, not so invincible self wears my retainer to keep them that way. Four stars because Sherry is the office's first impression and I like most others take them very seriously. I'm glad I got past her but quite frankly I had several reasons to block her out as a deciding factor in my treatment provider. That being said, her demeanor can easily push someone away. There are plenty of great, qualified orthodontists in the area and beyond to take your business and at no point should you feel you are not welcome. I believe it is important to note that Dr. Gordon is a DDS who does Invisalign rather than an orthodontist. I consulted with both specialties to find that an Invisalign provider contracts through Invisalign which is a separate entity all together. Molds are taken in office which are truly the most critical in the process as they determine your treatment plan. These molds are then sent out to the Invisalign lab where I suppose orthodontists formulate a treatment plan composed of your trays. They create a nice little video presentation allowing you to see how you can expect your teeth to move over the course of the treatment - tray by tray and of course the end result. It's extremely precise and so there's an insanely small chance your teeth won't look as promised as long as you do your part of wearing the trays as prescribed. Orthodontist or not, this is the Invisalign process requiring no clinical judgement from your physical provider other than an initial qualification assessment and mid-treatment followup. That being said, I felt completely safe with Dr. Gordon being a general dentist and would advise you to explore all your options too as a specialist will charge you more for the same process. I've made that recommendation to several friends and genuinely stand by it irregardless of if you choose to see Dr. Gordon or not. read more

I want to preface this review that I rarely take the time to critique business on yelp however in this particular instance I felt that several of the previous reviews were so utterly inaccurate that it drove me to write this: 1. Dr. Gordon and his entire staff are excellent, helpful, honest and knowledgeable. Most importantly they are completely upfront about the type of procedures they are recommending. The entire staff clearly goes out of their way to deliver a clear and concise explanation regarding any procedure. The entire team explains in laymen's terms the justification of the recommendation in additional to detailing and itemizing all costs taking into account insurance coverage payment, as well as any out of pocket expense that may or may not exist. 2. The people at this practice care and do not treat patients like cattle. They call after business hours to check on your progress if you had a procedure and although this is a slight nuance compared to other dentists and physicians I equate it to the difference between flying commercial vs. private. Personally, when my health is involved I have no problem potentially paying slightly more out of pocket than my insurance will cover and I mean slightly for a significant increase in service, attention and follow-up. 3. Dr. Gordon takes a holistic approach to dentistry and that is important to me and in my opinion should matter to most people as well. Dr. Gordon has taken the added effort not to use mercury fillings as wells as purchasing state of the art x-rays machines that emit the least amount of radiation necessary. I recently read that Americans receive the most amount of radiation on an annual basis from their dentist office. Although this may cost slightly more to install it pays off in spades in the long run for his patients. Augmenting their overall health and quality of life. 4. For example, I had two mercury fillings removed due to elevated mercury levels in my blood and after a great deal of research I realized that Dr. Gordon was uniquely qualified to perform this procedure. His practice incorporates the latest state of the art equipment that protects patients from added mercury exposure during the removal process. Remarkably, the process was basically painless and relatively quick. 5. Dr. Gordon has clearly spared no expense in furnishing the office with the latest equipment in order to insure the safety and long term health of his clients. 6. On a slightly different note relating to a previous Yelp post; to criticize someone for making a personal attempt via telephone to address a dissatisfied customer is completely absurd in my opinion. Keep in mind what people write is directly correlated with perception and who wouldn't take the time to try and alter a negative perception when it affects their livelihood. If the circumstances were reversed I certainly would have done exactly the same thing in Dr. Gordon's position. 7. Lastly, poor Yelp review explanation -- my belief is that the only reason several of the other reviewers were dissatisfied is entirely an issue of paying a slight out of pocket expenses and has absolutely nothing to do with service or quality of care. In conclusion, I truly believe the old adage you get what you pay for in this world and this proverb applies directly to Dr. Gordon and all of his employees. read more
