Todays Cleaning with Samantha was ,...Dare I say Enjoyable. Boy,... taking X-Rays today is alot easier and quicker than it was Years ago. And seeing Dr. Dow is a pleasure as always. I want to start by saying I rarely leave reviews, but this one feels extra important. Referrals are the best way to find a great doctor, and I truly want people to be able to find a dentist as good as I did. Dr. Dow has completely changed my view on dentistry. I used to dread going to the dentist, and I had a lot of anxiety around it, but he has completely eased that. Now I actually enjoy going because of him and his team. He goes above and beyond his role to make sure you're not only taken care of, but genuinely comfortable. You can tell he truly cares about you as a patient and as a person - not just as a number or a paycheck. As someone who has had severest of autoimmune disease issues and life altering anxiety a very long time, I've experienced both really great doctors and really disappointing ones. This is actually the first review I've ever left because I think it's important for people to understand the difference... and Dr. Dow is exactly what a doctor should be. I had been searching for a dentist for almost a year after moving to Chicago in 2023, and I'm so glad I didn't settle for anyone else. They are the absolute best. His team even calls after certain exams or procedures just to make sure I'm doing okay... which is honestly unheard of these days. If you're looking for a professional, highly skilled, and incredibly knowledgeable dentist, you've found the right place. And if you want someone who truly values you and your time and goes above and beyond for his patients, this is 100% your doctor. I'm genuinely excited to continue a lifelong partnership with Dr. Dow as my dentist--and you should absolutely do the same. Him and his team are unmatched! read more

Update: Dr. Fisher took the time to call me right away to help clear some things up. He let me know that the deprogrammer is very successful for his patients and that I have been the only one that has had a joint problem as opposed to a muscle problem. He let me know that his patients that have gone through with the deprogrammer, have told him that this has been life changing. With TMJ disorders, sometimes you just have to go through other tests and diagnostic tools to get to the diagnoses. I truly appreciate him giving me a call to clear some things up and he also offered me a full refund. read more

Had my first visit to this office at the recommendation of a friend and couldn't be happier! My previous dentist was "ok", but there was no sense of teamwork or even joy/laughter like I experienced today at Chicago Style Smiles. They were quick to get me scheduled, promptly saw me at my scheduled appointment time and the whole experience was efficient and pleasant (and coming from someone who dreads the dentist after having A LOT of dental work, this has a lot). Dr. Fisher was pleasant, knowledgeable and didn't press me for anything that wasn't a concern of mine during today's visit. Highly recommend! read more

Went to my first followup cleaning and checkup. I was seen promptly. Met Samantha, my new dental hygienist. She did a fantastic job cleaning my teeth as she was thorough and gentle. Dr. Dow was welcoming and made a couple of recommendations. All in all, a good visit. read more

I've been going to Dr Dow for more than a year now and have been very happy with my experience. I was recommended to Chicago Style Smiles by a coworker after being pretty unhappy with my prior dentist. The staff here are all so nice and friendly, and really work hard to be accommodating. Scheduling is easy and they are very responsive through phone. Dr Dow is clearly really passionate about what he does and making sure everyone is comfortable. He explains everything he's doing and even can show you on the TV screen. It was pretty cool to see before and after on a filling. The dental hygienists that work here are very gentle and I've never had a painful or uncomfortable experience. I've had some pretty mixed experiences with the dentist's office, but really glad I've found Chicago Style Smiles and would recommend them and Dr. Dow to anyone. read more

Fantastic service. If you need expert dental services - beyond basic cleanings - or even if you just need dental cleanings - this is your spot! Had been going to a dentist for years for cleanings, then when it came to the challenging stuff - not so great - but this place - experts! And they're all just really nice too! read more

I am taking all of my good words about Dr. Fisher back. Dr Fisher gave me the worst referral for an orthodontist I could've gotten. He referred me to an orthodontist called Dale Benjamin who did more harm than good. The orthodontist was very cocky and confident at the consultation and he was swearing that he can align my teeth without extraction and without increasing my overbite. I somehow fell for this and one year later I have a huge overbite, bigger on the left side than on the right side. Teeth were not fully aligned, a piece of a tooth broke during the treatment, he shortened my upper left tooth in trying to create impression of delivering quick results and most importantly left me with misaligned bite where my upper and lower teeth no longer match. As a result I can't close my mouth properly and I am in constant discomfort that led to jaw pain, headaches, tension in my tongue, face and neck muscles, and a lot of anxiety. My face changed significantly as a result of the treatment. I practically look like a completely different person and I look way older now than before. I don't know how I fell for the promises of Dr. Benjamin. Had I known that that after one year I will have the overbite of a horse and I will not be able to close my mouth properly I would've ran away from his clinic. At the consultation I chose metal braces. I am 41 years old and Dr. Benjamin asked me how I am going to date with metal braces. Well, I see no issue but anyway my dating life is not Dr. Benjamin's business. I began the treatment and when I went for my first check up he referred to me as "you were the one with the metal braces" and he rushed to clarify that I am the first adult patient he has ever had to choose metal braces over ceramic. I regret the day I followed up with the referral of Dr. Fisher and I hired Dale Benjamin. His treatment caused more damage than good. Now instead of taking the braces off and moving on with my life now I have to begin a new treatment, spend thousands more, undergo a painful surgery to remove impacted wisdom tooth and then spend another year or more wearing braces but that doesn't guarantee that for the $7,500 I will pay to my new orthodontist the overbite of a horse will be reduced as it may end up permanent. Trusting the referral of Dr. Fisher and hiring Dale Benjamin was the biggest mistake in my life! It is very sad that he refers patients to incompetent orthodontist just because they are probably friends and want to help each other in their careers. Dale Benjamin ruined my teeth, he ruined my face and he ruined my life! I feel devastated and depressed! read more

I moved to Chicago in 2019 and was worried about which dentist to go to, but very happy I opted into Chicago Style Smiles. They have been my go-to dentist ever since, and I cannot speak highly enough about the excellent service they provide. The team at Chicago Style Smiles go above and beyond to create a welcoming and comfortable environment. From the friendly receptionists to the skilled dental hygienists, everyone contributes to a positive experience. The office is always impeccably clean, and the waiting area is cozy, making each visit a stress-free experience, which is appreciated especially since it can be a known, nerve-wrecking experience. Dr. Dow is not only a dentist but is also a true professional who takes the time to explain procedures thoroughly and answer any questions I may have. I appreciate the personalized care I receive, and I always feel like a valued patient and truly feel comfortable at each visit. The staff's dedication to patient comfort is evident in their gentle approach and consideration for individual needs. They prioritize preventive care and take the time to educate patients about maintaining good oral health between visits, so DON'T FORGET TO FLOSS, ha! I am grateful to have found such an exceptional dentist in Chicago. Dr. Dow and their team have not only taken care of my dental needs but have also earned my trust and loyalty. If you're looking for a dentist you can rely on for excellent care and an overall positive experience, I wholeheartedly recommend Chicago Style Smiles!! read more

Dr Dow is truly amazing!! I did some research for a dentist who can do bonding on my teeth and went to see Dr. Dow. I couldn't be happier with the result!! I saw a family dentist today for normal check up and cleaning. She was so amazed how good my bonded teeth look!! She thought they were veneers!! She said he did an execellent job. This compliment is from a dentist! Dr. Dow is super friendly, has excellent bedside manners. It is too bad that he is so far from me or he would totally be my family dentist. Thank you Dr. Dow!! read more

Chicago Style Smiles - Loving my teeth and smile! - General Dentistry Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

I was heading to a dentist appointment elsewhere in the building (it's nearly all dentists and psychologists), when I bumped into a colleague who was heading to Chicago Style Smiles. The people in the practice I had been seeing were not particularly friendly, and that's putting it nicely. After enough interactions to decide they were unnecessarily grumpy and rude, I took the elevators up a few more floors. There I found a friendly and caring crew in Shelly, Marjorie, Ana, Diana, all the hygienists, and of course Dr. Dow. Several years later, and my wife and young child now all see Dr. Dow. They're so great with kids, accommodating my kid's 10,000 questions and letting us look out at the spectacular views of Millennium Park, Monroe Harbor, etc. when our appointment is on the other (north) side of the building (looking up Michigan Ave instead of across it). They also allow and even encourage us to make double appointments, which is a huge help for scheduling. Everyone there goes above and beyond, knowing what's happening in our lives. The actual dental care is excellent, too. We haven't seen Dr. Fisher yet, but have no doubt he's excellent as well. You'd have to be to work there! I don't love the older building with its locked bathroom doors and loud HVAC noise. But once you're into that clean and bright corner office, you quickly forget about the hallway. And you'll walk out with a big bright smile. Highly recommended. read more

I recently found Chicago Style Smiles through an extensive search on yelp and google. I had just moved to Chicago and was looking for a place close to my work (the Loop). I also was looking for a place with a good reputation for cosmetic work as I was hoping to fix some things about my smile. Well, I can honestly say I've never had a better dentistry experience in my life! From the warm greeting at the reception to the super friendly dental hygentist, it was a great experience all around. I let Dr.Dow know that I had no desire for Invisalign and had been told by at least two dentists that veneers were my only option. Dr. Dow worked with me and we were able to come up with a plan to have my teeth bonded. The day of the appointment his attention to detail was immaculate. He went back and sculpted multiple times to make sure everything was as I wanted it. He even dealt with questions from my mom via facetime! Talk about going the extra mile. See the results below! Save yourself a stressful dental experience and go to Dr.Dow. read more

If you are scouring the internet looking for a dentist (like I was) I'd like to let you know you can stop now, because Chicago Style Smiles is the best place in Chicago to go. HUGE shoutout to Dr. Dow and Diana at Chicago style smiles. Their care and attentiveness to their patients is unparalleled, not to mention they are also a small family owned business. My story: I prowled the internet looking for a dentist after one of my back molars broke. After tirelessly searching, I stumbled across Chicago Style Smiles. Every single reviewer remarked about the absolutely amazing experience they had at the dentist. Not having been to the dentist for 7+ years, I was very nervous about going now to say the least. I had nothing to fear though. The front desk ladies greeted me with perky smiles and cheerful attitudes. They worked with my insurance so payment was easy and stress free. Dr. Dow and Diana made me feel so calm and at ease while filling my cavities and fixing my tooth. I was so embarrassed by how long it had been since I had seen a dentist, but not only did they reassure me that it's perfectly normal for people to have anxiety about going to the dentist, they also went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and provide me with the best service one could ask for. I enjoyed my experience so much that I went back for whitening and cosmetic dentistry services. I had a short time frame in which I wanted to whiten my teeth and get my gap filled before I left for vacation and my 30th birthday, that they even stayed a little late to finish my whitening molds on the same day so I could start the whitening process immediately. A few days before leaving for vacation I went in and they performed cosmetic bonding in my 2 front teeth. Now I have had braces before, and a retainer behind my teeth and literally nothing could keep them together until now. If you are considering cosmetic bonding, I highly recommend doing it as it is a much more affordable option to braces and to veneers. Dr. Dow is a professional smile maker. There is no one else, I will trust to care for my teeth. He is meticulous and detail orientated in his work, if you didn't know me prior you would never be able to tell I had cosmetic bonding done, you would just think I have naturally beautiful teeth. As soon as I left the office, I started getting and continue to receive so many compliments on how beautiful my smile is. I am so grateful to Dr. Dow and Diana for the amazing experience and for helping me love my smile again. read more

Save yourself some time and stop looking at Yelp for dentist reviews -- this place takes the cake. I saw Dr. Rohan after not going to the dentist for 5+ years. I was so anxious and embarrassed. I kept pushing it off thinking I would get a lecture about how long it's been since I've had a cleaning. My initial appointment was so seamless I was shocked when it was over. I had cavities and was shown photos on a screen of exactly what needed to be fixed. You do not need to worry about unnecessary dental work here. I had severe anxiety getting my cavities filled, but Dr. Rohan and his team were the best. I'll end with the Front Desk/Administrative staff. I have never been to a medical office (of any kind) that has such kind, pleasant, and helpful support staff. They know you don't WANT to be at the dentist, so they treat you with respect, answer questions, return calls, etc. I always know pricing and never feel blindsided. If you have pricing concerns beforehand, just talk to them. They are approachable and honest. Thank you Chicago Style Smiles. Now that I have gotten caught up on my cleanings and back on a schedule, I am looking at fixing some cosmetic aspects. We discussed Invisalign and whitening. I was even told the price directly up front for each type of whitening. (And, FYI the office view is unbeatable) read more

Everything about this dental practice is incredible. I've visited at least 3 times now for cleanings and my experience is always consistent. There's essentially no wait as soon as you enter in and finish your paperwork. The office is clean and well-maintained. Coming in for the first time I remember thinking I've never received such a thorough explanation of the imaging done of my teeth. Dr. Fisher went tooth by tooth, explaining what we were seeing on screen and I really appreciated it. Him and the hygienists I've seen when I visited are so kind, funny, and easy to talk to. Since going to the dentist is scary for some people, it's important that the staff, including Dr. Fisher, can make you laugh and put you at ease. Not to mention - the views of Millennium park will blow your mind!! It's just around the block from the train which makes visiting a breeze. I feel so lucky to have stumbled upon this place and I recommend it to all of my fellow flight attendant colleagues if they're on the hunt for a dentist. If I ever move, I would be devastated because I doubt I'll find a dental practice like this again. read more

I continue to have pleasant experiences seeing Dr. Dow. I aforementioned how he has previously corrected work a prior dentist conducted. He did so again recently and didn't even charge for me. He certainly didn't have to do that. You won't many, if any, professionals that would do so. And per usual, he and his staff always check to make sure everything is ok after every service. I will continue to be a client of Dr. Dow as long as I can. Thank you again for exemplary customer service. read more

Best Dentist Ever! Wow, I was so impressed with how friendly & competent everyone was! I was looking for a dentist that had very modern/updated equipment, X-ray, Digital imagery, etc. and was competent to do all General dentistry, cavities, crowns, etc. plus have the expertise to upgrade my smile via cosmetic dentistry. The technology, X-rays and digital imagery, etc. was impressive, and it allowed me to see what for myself, the tooth images, etc. The staff, Diana took great care and time to work with me, no one was in a rush, they really focus on you. As for the the Dentist, Dr Dow, after decades of going to very good dentists, he gets my #1! I have never had a dentist spend so much time reviewing my situation, I was a new patient, and he himself, for this 1st initial visit, did the cleaning and review of each tooth, etc. The practice was the match I was looking for, which is having updated technology, and being able to do all the General Dentistry options, as well as cosmetic. Usually it seems you have to choose one or the other. I highly recommend them! read more

I fell and hurt my teeth, pushing the front ones back and chipping one. I. Was able to get an appointment very soon and Dr Dow filled in the chip and rather than move another tooth forward and disturb the root yet again he added enamel to the front to give the illusion that the tooth was forward. I'm very happy with the result and highly recommend Dr Dow. read more

I saw Dr. Dow for a routine exam/XR. It was worth the wait to see him. He was very knowledgeable and explained my care in detail. I felt I could trust him because he took the time to discuss his exam findings and treatment plan as well as provide recommendations for daily care and cleaning. He thoughtfully answered my questions. I did not feel rushed; I felt he was trying to treat the patient instead of trying to see as many patients as possible. Look forward to coming back here. The front staff is friendly and helpful. They answered my questions. They communicated directly with my insurance to let me know how much the insurance would cover and how much I would pay out of pocket, thereby taking the onerous burden off of me to communicate with my insurance company. There was exact price transparency. Good front desk staff make a big difference in the experience. read more

Found my new dentist in Chicago! Dr. Rohan saw me quickly for a second opinion on a diagnosis from another dentist. He actually discovered a large cavity that the other dentist did not even find/mention a week prior! I am so grateful I decided to go with Dr. Rohan. I am extremely hesitant to go to the dentist, almost to a detriment. I had been to a previous dentist in Chicago and found the experience to be fine, but not noteworthy. At the end of 2016, I decided that I needed to go. I asked for recommendations and got more than two dozen. I ended up deciding to go to Chicago Style Smiles and was attended by Dr. Dow. As usual, when I got there I was dreading the whole process. I was let in on time and immediately attended to. The staff was all extremely friendly and Dr. Row was welcoming and sociable. He takes into consideration how much or little you want to know - I asked about every question I could. As I mentioned at the start, I obviously needed a significant of work. During two days of work they were always conscious and asking of my comfort level. They are a great team. And I would give them a sixth star, but only if Dr. Dow would speak Spanish read more

Chicago Style Smiles has got to be one of, if not the best dental office in the city without a doubt! When moving to Chicago 6 years ago, I visited a few dentists before finding Dr. Dow. Not only is he one of the nicest guys ever, but his knowledge and bedside manner are superb; you leave feeling like a valued friend rather than a patient. His assistant Diana is also just as amazing. The friends I have referred agree that this is "the one". Dr. Dow is very transparent and honest about his thoughts and approaches, which I greatly appreciate. I've never experienced any pain, the staff has always been incredibly genuine and friendly, and you can tell they're all on the same team. 11/10 recommend! read more

I am new to the area and was lucky enough to find Dr. Dow on Yelp. My experience was excellent from start to finish. I was able to get an appointment within a week of calling (that never happens!) and my visit was one of the best experiences I've ever had. As a new patient we did a more thorough exam which could be boring but Dr. Dow made it educational and conversational so the hour went very fast. The office is also right above millennium station which made it easy to get to. I highly recommend Dr. Dow to anyone looking for a new dentist. This place is a gem! read more

New to the area, I came to Chicago Style Smiles after encountering a terrible, terrible experience at Chicago Loop Dentistry down the road. I knew that I needed some work done and was looking for a new, long-term dentist to get my teeth back on track! I saw Dr. Dow and Maria was my hygienist. I had an initial consultation and then went through a cleaning. During the consultation, Dr. Dow made sure to go through all my scans and talk openly about my current dental health and projected treatment plan. I had a handful of cavities and the previous dentist/hygienist was judgmental and berating before I even finished my X-rays! This office was not pushy, judgmental, or condescending in any way. They were very clear and open about what needed to be done and made it seem simple! (even though it's not lol) They gave a little goodie bad and the prices were competitive (my estimates included insurance). The office was very updated and clean, which always puts you at ease! read more

I love Chicago Smiles! I've been a patient of Dr. Dow's for 4 years. He makes the process of getting your teeth clean or any other dental work to be a great experience. No one likes going to the dentist, but the level of customer service with the front desk staff is exceptional and the services rendered by Dr. Dow is top notch. I feel very special each visit and they know me by name. Plus, you get to overlook Michigan lake while getting a cleaning or any other dental services. The reason for my last visit on September 30th, 2019 was to get some cosmetic bonding done on my front four teeth to minimize the gaps between my teeth. I spoke to Dr. Dow about this a year ago and was considering getting braces again. And, as a true professional he was honest that my case would be better for an orthodontist, however, this year I was just fed up with the way that my teeth looked so I revisited the idea of getting my teeth fixed. However, I wanted to use Dr. Dow's services because I trust his judgement. He is excellent with communicating to you set by step the process and takes care to make sure you understand completely. I suggested bonding to close the gaps because I've had it done before. I'm so happy and over the moon with the way my teeth turned out. If you see me now, you'll catch me smiling a lot more than before and I do not have to take selfies from my side profile anymore. I would HIGHLY recommend Chicago Smiles and Dr. Dow to any person looking for a GREAT dentist. Thanks Dr. Dow and team! You all are truly the best in the industry. I've visited other dental offices but none of them compare. read more
