I used to dread going to the dentist, and I had a lot of anxiety around it, but he has completely eased that. Now I actually enjoy going because of him and his team. He goes above and beyond his role to make sure you're not only taken care of, but genuinely comfortable. Update: Dr. Fisher took the time to call me right away to help clear some things up. He let me know that the deprogrammer is very successful for his patients and that I have been the only one that has had a joint problem as opposed to a muscle problem. He let me know that his patients that have gone through with the deprogrammer, have told him that this has been life changing. With TMJ disorders, sometimes you just have to go through other tests and diagnostic tools to get to the diagnoses. Had my first visit to this office at the recommendation of a friend and couldn't be happier! My previous dentist was "ok", but there was no sense of teamwork or even joy/laughter like I experienced today at Chicago Style Smiles. I've been going to Dr Dow for more than a year now and have been very happy with my experience. I was recommended to Chicago Style Smiles by a coworker after being pretty unhappy with my prior dentist. The staff here are all so nice and friendly, and really work hard to be accommodating. Scheduling is easy and they are very responsive through phone. Dr Dow is clearly really passionate about what he does and making sure everyone is comfortable. I am taking all of my good words about Dr. Fisher back. Dr Fisher gave me the worst referral for an orthodontist I could've gotten. He referred me to an orthodontist called Dale Benjamin who did more harm than good. The orthodontist was very cocky and confident at the consultation and he was swearing that he can align my teeth without extraction and without increasing my overbite. I somehow fell for this and one year later I have a huge overbite, bigger on the left side than on the right side. Teeth were not fully aligned, a piece of a tooth broke during the treatment, he shortened my upper left tooth in trying to create impression of delivering quick results and most importantly left me with misaligned bite where my upper and lower teeth no longer match. As a result I can't close my mouth properly and I am in constant discomfort that led to jaw pain, headaches, tension in my tongue, face and neck muscles, and a lot of anxiety. My face changed significantly as a result of the treatment. I practically look like a completely different person and I look way older now than before. I don't know how I fell for the promises of Dr. Benjamin. Had I known that that after one year I will have the overbite of a horse and I will not be able to close my mouth properly I would've ran away from his clinic. At the consultation I chose metal braces. I am 41 years old and Dr. Benjamin asked me how I am going to date with metal braces. Well, I see no issue but anyway my dating life is not Dr. Benjamin's business. I began the treatment and when I went for my first check up he referred to me as "you were the one with the metal braces" and he rushed to clarify that I am the first adult patient he has ever had to choose metal braces over ceramic. I regret the day I followed up with the referral of Dr. Fisher and I hired Dale Benjamin. His treatment caused more damage than good. Now instead of taking the braces off and moving on with my life now I have to begin a new treatment, spend thousands more, undergo a painful surgery to remove impacted wisdom tooth and then spend another year or more wearing braces but that doesn't guarantee that for the $7,500 I will pay to my new orthodontist the overbite of a horse will be reduced as it may end up permanent. Trusting the referral of Dr. Fisher and hiring Dale Benjamin was the biggest mistake in my life! It is very sad that he refers patients to incompetent orthodontist just because they are probably friends and want to help each other in their careers. Dale Benjamin ruined my teeth, he ruined my face and he ruined my life! I feel devastated and depressed! read more

I was heading to a dentist appointment elsewhere in the building (it's nearly all dentists and psychologists), when I bumped into a colleague who was heading to Chicago Style Smiles. The people in the practice I had been seeing were not particularly friendly, and that's putting it nicely. After enough interactions to decide they were unnecessarily grumpy and rude, I took the elevators up a few more floors. There I found a friendly and caring crew in Shelly, Marjorie, Ana, Diana, all the hygienists, and of course Dr. Dow. Several years later, and my wife and young child now all see Dr. Dow. They're so great with kids, accommodating my kid's 10,000 questions and letting us look out at the spectacular views of Millennium Park, Monroe Harbor, etc. when our appointment is on the other (north) side of the building (looking up Michigan Ave instead of across it). They also allow and even encourage us to make double appointments, which is a huge help for scheduling. Everyone there goes above and beyond, knowing what's happening in our lives. The actual dental care is excellent, too. We haven't seen Dr. Fisher yet, but have no doubt he's excellent as well. You'd have to be to work there! I don't love the older building with its locked bathroom doors and loud HVAC noise. But once you're into that clean and bright corner office, you quickly forget about the hallway. Save yourself some time and stop looking at Yelp for dentist reviews -- this place takes the cake. I saw Dr. Rohan after not going to the dentist for 5+ years. I was so anxious and embarrassed. I kept pushing it off thinking I would get a lecture about how long it's been since I've had a cleaning. My initial appointment was so seamless I was shocked when it was over. I had cavities and was shown photos on a screen of exactly what needed to be fixed. You do not need to worry about unnecessary dental work here. I had severe anxiety getting my cavities filled, but Dr. Rohan and his team were the best. I'll end with the Front Desk/Administrative staff. I have never been to a medical office (of any kind) that has such kind, pleasant, and helpful support staff. They know you don't WANT to be at the dentist, so they treat you with respect, answer questions, return calls, etc. I always know pricing and never feel blindsided. Was able to get an appointment very soon and Dr Dow filled in the chip and rather than move another tooth forward and disturb the root yet again he added enamel to the front to give the illusion that the tooth was forward. New to the area, I came to Chicago Style Smiles after encountering a terrible, terrible experience at Chicago Loop Dentistry down the road. I knew that I needed some work done and was looking for a new, long-term dentist to get my teeth back on track! I saw Dr. Dow and Maria was my hygienist. I had an initial consultation and then went through a cleaning. During the consultation, Dr. Dow made sure to go through all my scans and talk openly about my current dental health and projected treatment plan. I had a handful of cavities and the previous dentist/hygienist was judgmental and berating before I even finished my X-rays! This office was not pushy, judgmental, or condescending in any way. The reason for my last visit on September 30th, 2019 was to get some cosmetic bonding done on my front four teeth to minimize the gaps between my teeth. I spoke to Dr. Dow about this a year ago and was considering getting braces again. And, as a true professional he was honest that my case would be better for an orthodontist, however, this year I was just fed up with the way that my teeth looked so I revisited the idea of getting my teeth fixed. However, I wanted to use Dr. Dow's services because I trust his judgement. He is excellent with communicating to you set by step the process and takes care to make sure you understand completely. I suggested bonding to close the gaps because I've had it done before. I'm so happy and over the moon with the way my teeth turned out. If you see me now, you'll catch me smiling a lot more than before and I do not have to take selfies from my side profile anymore.
